im heating my 45qm flat only with 2 gpu mining rigs.
not every coin is very loud to mining.when im mining vertcoin or siacoin it seems 10time louder than mining electroneum.
so u can choice the loudness of ur rig depending on the coin u mine

Oh very interesting, what do you think about the electromagnetic waves of wifi?  Huh

I don't have anything that does wifi, never have and probably never will.
Not willing to put up with the much lower reliability vs Ethernet, and I don't waste money on laptops when I don't travel enough for them to make sense.

I recommend You to build or buy ETH miner (based on GPU cards) with 6 GPU installed. Is more than enough to heat one room.
RX580x6 is about 800W of power consumption which is equivalent to good electric heater and in addition this miner should make you about 200USD profit per month.

Smelling the heat directly from miners would cause cancer or another issue in future.
They are soldering the parts in devices and solder paste is not healthy thing.

I think you will need to heat water and use it in interrior.

The temps in a miner don't get anywhere NEAR what it would take to melt the solder, much less cause any of it to turn to breathable vapor.

Your ROOM ON FIRE might not get hot enough.

It would be nice if you would quit spreading this FUD garbage.

agree it's not healthy to smell that heat

A GPU rig might be  decent idea because I'd have to put a desktop in there anyway.. About how many watts can you pull with a GPU rig? I'm thinking 2-4k watts..

Depends on the rig - a small rig could easily be 500 watts, a multi-PS big rig based on that B250 Pro Mining 19-slot MB in theory COULD hit 4k+ watts running all Vega or GTX 1080ti cards (more with certain older cards).

All of the rigs I currently build target 6 amp draw (660 watts nominal) so I can put 2 of them on one standard 15 amp circuit (my B250 will probably end up closer to 20 amps/2200 watts but that's using 3 PS spread across 2 circuits).

I don't know why op is expecting to heat the room with the miner.
Instead of that he can buy the room heaters to solve his expectation right! Simply confusing to me.

Because the miner will MAKE MONEY with that electric usage, not turn it into heat for NO other gain?

 Why is this confusing?

The most easily moddable and slightly quiet miner I can think of is the S5 but it's still weak by today's standards. S7s underclocked are still relatively loud, I've owned a couple and even at minimum fan speed the sound was around ~63-65db on my phone sound meter. I placed mine in my basement and the sound was quiet but still went through to the first floor of my home with the "server"-type noise. Depends what your expectations of sound would be, but for a semi-modern miner an underclocked S7 is probably your best bet.

How much space do you have for a setup?

I believe I have plenty of space..

If you really wanted to make your mining hardware to be safe from overheating, it should be located in a large spacious area so that it wouldn't build up too much heat. The area to be consumed for the miners must be enough for the heat being thrown away by the cooling fans, of course we needed to have good ventilation in order to remove excess heat inside the room. Air conditioned room is highly advised so that it would help the cooling effect on the miners, and also you will have to extend the life of your miner computers.

it depends on how many rigs you have and what kind of coins you are mining and how you underclock and overclock them.

I probably want to clock them to their most efficient hash rate and mine on an autoswitching multipool..

I don't know why op is expecting to heat the room with the miner.

Free crypto?

If I'm going to burn a bunch of electricity for heat I might as well get some free crypto doing it no?

Does nobody do such a thing?

yes they do ..  you want a few s-7's  and downclock it a bit to lower noise.

or a rare old firmware  s-9   batch  1-4 that can downclock  .

they are not loud  and will make money.

s-3's can  do 300gh    quietly   but  you would need a lot of them

A GPU rig might be  decent idea because I'd have to put a desktop in there anyway.. About how many watts can you pull with a GPU rig? I'm thinking 2-4k watts..

But I'm thinking asics would be the better bang for the buck as far as hash per watt..

I was thinking something like 2 S3 or S5 miners..  I don't know..

What I want is the best hash per watt bang for the buck but we don't have to care about profitability as far as electricity usage.. Just ROI on the machine itself..

So something that is just obsolete enough to be unprofitable for most people paying for electricity, just obsolete enough for its price to be in the tank, cheap, but just modern enough to crunch some decent hash..

So, bang for the buck hash/watt to roi on the equipment cost only.. Don't care about electricity..

Why heat a room with miners instead of a space heater? If I'm not mistaken it looks like free crypto to me..

If you want me to be more specific I'm attaching my motorhome to my bedroom with like a short space station dock hallway to it and want to set up a sort of office in there with a decent desktop, Ethernet, miners for heat, printer, filing cabinets, etc. so I can do all of my office business from there..

They don't exactly hold their heat well and I'm expecting tempatures regularly in the 0-20 degree ferinheight range outside with some days down to -20 with maybe -40 windchill..

And I have a 12 volt 190 amp power supply that should hang out somewhere around 12.5-13.5 volts that I want to try to use to power a miner and see if it explodes or whatever.. Put em in a firepeoof drywall box just incase..

So yeah.. What miner(s) to buy for this setup?

Yep they are damn loud. so unless its a room which you dont use frequently its okay... but if you "live" in that room, forget it.

If you have GPU rigs in your room still you will find the heat only in the room and sound will not bigger like you find in the antminer series hardwares. I don't know why op is expecting to heat the room with the miner.

A standard electric space heater will be 1000-2000 watt, is a standard space heater enough to heat your space? Perhaps you can borrow one from someone to see if it is adequate? You could even try with a hair dryer, check how much watt it is, open it full throttle and see if it is enough to heat your space so you know how much watt you should be thinking of.

In the USA, standard "space heaters" are almost always 1500 watts, sometimes with a lower 750 setting or 2 lower settings around 500 and 1000 watts.

ASIC miners are, in my experience with recent ones, ALL loud (the ones that aren't are old USB-based stuff that were very low capability).

GPU rigs though can be set up to be pretty quiet, especially if you target the GPU power setting to around the most efficient operation area of that GPU.

Most antminers won't work if you want low noise. The ones that come to mind that are somewhat quieter are the S3 and S5 (can be fanmodded), the else are either the unreliable R4 or loud as hell industrial miners.

How much space do you have for a setup? If you want low noise, then an antminer and the likes will probably not be for you. You could consider a GPU setup, you could make such setup much more silent but it would be a lot bulckier.

What kind of offers are you looking for? Where are you located? In case you live in EU, feel free to throw me a PM.
