If you invest now, it is best not to consider new projects, because they are very risky and you can easily lose all the money in new projects, as I think it is better to invest in Bitcoin and alts, which are in the top 20.
Investing into bitcoin really is a great advice, I am not saying that is the only way to make money, all altcoins probably has a chance to increase, they have teams that work on it like crazy, and I respect them a whole lot. However think about it this way, there is bitcoin that is %100 guaranteed that it will eventually go up, maybe for the next 18 months it will be low and suck, never see above 7k again for that duration, but we all know eventually it will break over that and go over 10k, even if it takes over 2 years to do it, it will definitely do it.
So on one hand you have a bit more riskier currency that could potentially have a big increase, on the other hand you have a currency that you know will make a profit, maybe not today but one day, it is guaranteed that you will make a profit with it.
yeah i know if you are not new here because your account was created in 2017 so it's been around 3 years you are in crypto. You should also have seen market conditions and some altcoins since 2017, if you don't want to lose a lot of money keep investing in bitcoin

Very good advice and should be considered what you have said, again all depends on who has money whether to accept the proposal. in investment it is true that you say that a little research is needed to analyze it with the help at CMC or CoinGecko before deciding what to buy.
very certain is bitcoin and ethereum are the main investments that can be done, if you want with altcoin you can see the top rankings in CMC and CoinGecko with a little analysis of you. there are BNB, XRP which can also be considered and I am also interested in Link.
Bust to do a feasible study on the market and the alts listed since maybe you can see a correct coin to invest but if you have a limited budget to go with best to go directly with the top alts and just do trades with them since the more market movement it got the more profit you can get so be smart and learn a short trade and its methods so that you will get a high chance of success.

Since you have enough money to risk as I thought, I suggest finding another coin other from these GNT and BAT. A lot of potential coins in the market that are worthy of your money where you can expect of sure and big returns. Actually, these coins of your choice still have market value but if we look into their performance, they are getting far from those who are listed on the top.

Investing in crypto has a substantial risk, so, I suggest you should be careful in choosing the crypto assets that you want to invest, if you are wronging in choosing investment assets, of course you will lose the money you have, so it's better to do the best analysis possible altcoin before you want to invest so that with so little chance you will experience a loss in trading. But of course all decisions are in your hands in determining which assets you want to invest, but my advice is better for you to choose crypto assets that do have a large market capitalization at this time because altcoin which has a large market capitalization is safer and less likely to being altcoin is junk in my opinion. Before investing your money in crypto-currencies you should keep in mind that it is not risk free investment so you have to ability to cope with the losses. Though you are newbie in crypto world so you need to research about crypto-currencies because without knowing any knowledge about crypto-currencies you can't invest in good project. And from my perception you can invest your money by portfolio strategy. You can buy now XRP, ADA, NEO, DRG & ETH. Just buy Bitcoin 40% then ethereum 30% then the remaining 30% will be for those currency you have mentioned and for others to be added,but the 70% must be in right place.
This is a sensitive period of market. The market could collapse anytime if we get some bad news. Those are good altcoins but I would not encourage you to invest at the current stage because it is too dangerous, you should be patient and wait for a while longer if you want to buy altcoin

But we didn’t see altcoins seasons for long time, so altcoins investment huge risky, though top several coins can be recommend likes top 10 coins without ETH, a few resons i wouldn’t prefer. As far as, Bitcoin is the safe investment anytime if you feels altcoins is dangerous.

Bitcoin is always the safest investment, while other altcoins are facing lot of fluctuations, but most of the altcoin prices are completely based on the price of Bitcoin and this makes when even the price drops almost all altcoins are losing their value, so Bitcoin and some other potential altcoins are always good to hold them in the long term.
As you are new to crypto currency investment, I would suggest you not to go for altcoins that aren't much used or known to people. Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. You would be making ten times your initial investment within few months, but then again, you might lose all your money within few days. The risk with altcoins is too high. I would rather suggest you to invest on bitcoin and other altcoins like ETH. Try them out first. Get to know how the market works and then try those altcoins you have mentioned.

a very large number of altcoins are developing faster and better than ETH, but for some reason, people continue to consider investing in eth as the best way. what is the reason?
Because ETH is still the number in altcoins market, and maybe some of the investors are still holding a project that was built on ETH platform or probably they are still investing in ETH that they are waiting for the right time to sell, you can't really tell since when investing, we all are bias. I personally invest in bitcoin and other altcoins and only a small amount in ETH.
If what you think it is the right thing to do, then you should go with it, no one sees the future so let's hope we are lucky with our investment. 
It looks like you want to keep it a long time using the wallet, I suggest taking safe ways like Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB for now.
He suggest to buy some altcoins like GNT & BAT, but I suggest that he must go with his 3 top cryptocurrencies before he will put his money to other altcoins. I agree with you, it's safer to put a secure asset first before going to higher risk altcoins. ETH and BNB are making an important role in todays reputation of cryptocurrency so it's better to deal with this great coins especially if your going to a long-term. 
so you do not have a big risk and I also recommend that you invest money for the long term and still choose the top 5 altcoins. investment other than top in my opinion has more risk
This will be best for long-term investment and less risky rather than cryptocurrency that are not in the top list. I'm familiar with GNT but BAT seems good investment for me. You should choose projects that have good technology and related to financial institution. It's seems that BTC and ETH still the best cryptocurrency to invest today. ETH continue to develop their platform while BTC continue to make adopt in many countries. I personally invest in bitcoin and other altcoins and only a small amount in ETH.
