Fudsters have always been a part of the scene - at least ever since I began in bitcoin. They will always be spreading their fud whatever the price. The people who seem to be influenced the most by the fudsters are the weak hands and who needs them anyways. I'm sure the traders love when weak hands sell due to the fud. For the rest of us like myself, fudsters are pretty much a nonfactor. If anything, I find fudsters quite amusing actually.

Yeah, no shit to that. The only thing I'm legendary at is losing out on shitcoin pumps and trading bitcoin poorly. However, I'm still kicking around here which means I haven't lost my ass - a lot more than I can say for most.

Sticking around for long enough counts for a little something. At least the oldies have seen more. However that also means there's a considerably higher possibility of them being insane, bitter and filled with bizarro grudges too. I'm not sure too much crypto is very good for one's mental health or faith in humanity.

For me the last 2.5 years it's beaten the hell out of tv, and how many hobbies make money? I'm up about $20k, in usd and btc, but it's heartbreaking when I think of how much I could be up if I hadn't dumped so many coins before their pumps. The same fear of loss that has kept me in the black has also kept me from riches.

Look at the bright side: You can buy cheaper Bitcoin, and you can play with alts, since usually some alts pump go up when BTC goes down. ETC is looking good.
How if our funds still in form of bitcoin,i guess this fud is ain't funny for us,spreading fear through unreasonable opinion is such a bad thing,a price falling will always bad for bitcoin but not for traders

I agree with you. I have seen quite a lot of posts with 'Fud'. Members who have a high status like Legendary or Hero member can have a good influence in investors ideas with Bitcoin.

Anyone who automatically adds more weight to someone's opinion just because they're a hero or legendary is an idiot. Go on who it is. Would you listen to Satoshi? I'd hope so. Would you listen to me? You should not. The only thing I have over a junior member is that I've been posting shite for longer than them.

Lately there hasbeen a lot of posts about the price going down.

Dont post 'fud' without a good reason for the fear. really there is a lot of investors and people with real money out there. they will not be pleased if you start posting 'fud' or bad information.

Thank you

If I would buy more coins before a price increase, I would say to everybody that it's time to sell.

Can someone explain what FUD stands for?

I know it has something to do with people saying Bitcoin will fall in price.
"The sky is falling" posts are all probably from people with an agenda.
Trying to spread panic so people sell and they can pick up some cheap coins.

no matter how many fud is being spread in this forum, smart traders don't care at all. it doesn't have an impact on them because they know better. only rookies may get influenced by fud as they are already shaking on their legs without anything happening.

i think those promoting fud and stuff are scammer, they want to buy cheap on your dump, i never listen to them and thread should be closed by mod, price is recovering now, so i see no reason to dump
Yeah right and its just a normal its always happening year by year bitcoin has no stable price traders are making profit because of pump and dump.. so its normal no reason to blame anything why price of bitcoin is decreasing,

I think now is a good time to get into bitcoin if you didn't get in before. The bitcoin market price will recover after some time.

There have been so many accounts bought and sold on this forum that the rankings mean nothing any more except for a select few. They are worth listening to, but not the others.

I think we see FUD everyday and we able to tell which one is FUD or not, so i think there's no problem.
Also, when someone say something about bitcoin price, we should take it as their opinion, not something which is 100% true and will happen Roll Eyes

Maybe we should make a sticky thread about FUD if it's necessary to prevent newbie fall into FUD.

Personally, I don't believe that the price is going to fall. It is already quite low. I think that it is the perfect time to invest in BTC.

Smiley
It's quite low based on what? Based on the fact that it reached the range of 700-800USD and then it went back to 600USD range? If you'll judge the bitcoin price based on how much it has been, then you can say that this price 580-600USD is almost half of what it was. It reached 1000USD back then.

Well, we can promote which ideas we think. If the higher ranks want to say that it's going down, then they can say that. It's their account. It's only up to you if you'll believe everything that people on the Internet say.

Lately and always. I agree when you say that "FUD" should at least be based on something. However it's up to people who "invest" to be able to read through the information and sort it out.

Absolutely.

Obviously, there are going to be people who get into the crypto world who act irresponsibly and go along with the crowd who posts FUD and a whole bunch of nonsense; but should that be on the shoulders of people who post that stuff here? Absolutely not, or it shouldn't be.

People who are starting to come here that brings some "real money" to the table, are probably not these type of investors I described above... they are probably going to do their research and plan accordingly.

i agree with you, but... dude, it's like say to a troll to stop being a troll. it wont happen.
those topics come from two types of people:
1. "real investors"(aka holders) trying to bring the price down to buy more.
2. retards who believe in everything they see in internet.

The investor and people are having a brain and I think they will not just believing with information before reading it and especially a lot of people is making fud in here just for reaching their full post but for the price is going down it's normal. and you can see always appearing a new project and that is showing a lot of investors is still excited with bitcoin.
