I have remembered that I had used Hitbtc one time. Most likely bought some tokens and hold there. But after sold token when I had been going to withdraw and I were surprised about their withdrawal fee. If you small traders then your all profits likely will have to pay as their fee, lol. Everyone aware about their shady activity but still lots of traders trading there. Anyway they won't disable ICX token without any reason. Seems few folks already show the reason and it's quite reasonable. So you may wait for token swap.
I haven't heard much about Hitbtc recently, is all the fud gone? the proof of keys fud is over? when we will start to fud this exchange again?
I have issues on hitbtc before were my withdrawal took 1 week before they processed it. And i promise to myself not to use that exchange again. I even see on twitter that there are also users wgo has the same problem like you.
hitbtc exchange didn't allow users to transfer or withdrwal #ICX icon for me about 4 months and for some other users more than a year.
and they even didn't announce about that to warn the users not to transfer between trading wallet and main wallet, they just keep it that way for years to get more users into these troubles

People should stop using Hitbtc, they have old issues that they don't want resolve, all those bad reports in the scam sections are still unresolved,
it's only a matter of time before they do an exit scam, the complaints are mounting, and they are losing traders, soon they will scam those traders who choose to stay, so it's a bad idea to still use this exchange.

By the way, the ongoing investigation is related to the team and there are accusations against the dump of altcoin by some group of traders according to the twitter crypto accounts. (Not my personal opinion)

Why you stay at HiTBTC? the coin you are planning to exchange or transfer is listed on other well-known exchanges like Binance.
And I heard many bad things about this exchange they called it thieves and scammer.

It is not the exchange I'd be wary about but the wallets in question. In general even the big exchanges like Bittrex always give problems with some of these smaller projects. I remember Bittrex freezing my wallets in some alts a while back for months, not allowing withdrawal or trading. When they finally released it, the pairs were all removed, forcing you to withdraw or get nothing if they get delisted. Tough but that's what happens with alts.

Op you probably miss this message from them. I don't use the exchange as it has been given with several unfavorable reviews but as for checking it right now there are active trades on its pair. This must have been the valid reason why. But I wonder why the OP is saying that he cannot withdraw or transfer his ICX tokens for about four months already. I doubt if the maintenance or token swap will last that long. The OP is even saying that there are also other users who cannot do withdrawals and transfers of ICX funs for more than a year already.
As far as my personal experiences are concerned, I took the risk of opening an account with HitBTC because some of my coins are listed there. While others are also listed on other exchanges at the same time, the volume in HitBTC on those coins are much higher than in others. I am still using HitBTC every now and then and so far I have not been a victim of their shady behavior.

There is no doubt that it is one of shadiest exchange but lot of other exchanges also have this issue they will say wallet is under maintenance for months and years and we may get no information about when we will get the wallet back.But I guess you can still trade that coin so convert it into as BTC or other coins which can be withdrawn from the exchange. and they even didn't announce about that to warn the users not to transfer between trading wallet and main wallet, they just keep it that way for years to get more users into these troubles

I remember, like 2 years ago I was forced to pay a very high transaction fee (much higher than it should be) to withdraw my coins from this site and since then I stop using this exchange. It is nothing new though, I don't know there is something error or what.
Try to reach the customer support, raise a ticket and if your issue isn't solved yet then you can create a scam accusation thread
being forced by who ? and how did you know that your being forced ? afaik , hitbtc had already have a high transaction fee becuase i also used that exchange before but like you , i also stop using them and use other exchanges and found out that other good exchange and leading exchanges have a lower fees that hitbtc but about the locking of tokens , i havent experience any of those before . it maybe that they see a strange activity on the op's account thats why they limit it .
