Social Medias are full of those scams and I'm not surprised if someone would fall for that, especially the old ones that are the most gullible so you need to be careful clicking such links because it may turn out into a phishing link, there are also another type where something like cracked gambling site where the rtp is higher, and it's just a ripoff of the real site also trying to scam others.

I dont think there are still people who believes in this scams.  People are now educated, they wont fall on that simpliest form of scamming.

Not all. And sometimes, even those educated people are becoming a victim of scams. But they are less vulnerable than those who knew nothing.

As of this days, still there are a lot of new victims of scams from different social media site. Learn from people that has experience, it's not good to invest without even thinking.

This reminded me of those Facebook posts that I see all around the place where famous actors, musicians, and athletes are offering money to people in need. They became very popular in the times of COVID-19. Most of the ones I see involve The Rock or Novak Djokovic. The posts are always full with fake feedback, reviews of users getting money, etc. Has anyone seen those?

Instagram and other social media are not a place to look for legitimate business opportunities, period. If you follow this simple principle and ignore all such posts, you won't miss out on anything, cause they are always scams. Even if your friends are making posts that offer others to make money, it's most likely just them trying to drag someone into an MLM scheme. And as a general rule of thumb, no one likes to actually talk about the real moneymaking methods, so if someone claims to share one, especially if its an ad.spam - this is definitely a scam.

Well what do you expect with scammers they too are making it for a living so we can't expect for this things to stop. Anyway, this is a poor way of scamming like having fake giveaways. I think there will be few to fall for this kind of trap and I think only the desperate newbie who like to earn fast and easy money. We have made lot of threads about scam here but some users still fail to read to which it will lead to losses against these scammer. Aside from scamming, Phishing is also considered as one of the troublemaker for crypto holders. Stealing your crypto while you were sleeping is possible with the hackers and phishers around.

I dont think there are still people who believes in this scams.  People are now educated, they wont fall on that simpliest form of scamming.
There are many uneducated people in the world. Also, because some people are educated does not mean they can not fall for scam, any person can be a scam victim. Because you are educated does not mean you are specifically educated about scam. Not pointing to you but just as an example. No matter what, people will always still be scammed due to ignorance, lack of knowlege, greed and impatience.
Well, sad to say but even educated ones sometimes get scammed also especially when not careful enough with things like this or related stuff.

Anyway, glad I don't encounter things like this on my IG account. Maybe because I don't follow accounts that involve things like this or whatever. I just follow my favorite celebs and accounts where I can learn things, life hacks and the like. But as I've said, anyone can really fall for fraudulent acts, educated or not, especially that those things in the pics are luxurious. So it's helpful to constantly remind others that scammers are just out there. Don't allow them to make you a victim.

Not your keys, not your coins!
In 2019, there is a scammer on Twitter. He posted many good trading orders, and he opened group of investors who send their money to his pool to invests and give him rights to trade for them.

Eventually, he made scam exit. With the bull market, the method to scam investors can be applied again.

Every person and even those experienced ones can be at high-risk of scams because it occurs in a variety of forms. Yes, it is a prominent type of scam, but people have different views of things. Some are built as bait, waiting for a victim to grab it. By just looking at the photos, you can clearly see false promises and it’s a red flag. It is the reason why people should be aware that not every lucrative offer is legitimate and why we should consider doing a research before risking our hard-earned money.

If you are a conscientious person and do not rush to join in before doing a deep analysis, then you will not be easily caught in a scam like that. First, it doesn't make sense to get big profits without a serious effort like that. How can, it is too easy earning profits/money only doing a simple way as the scammer stated in the picture. You must be aware of it from the beginning, I am pretty sure this is a classic way to scam people. So, if you are already in crypto space for some weeks or months or even years, you should already read previous cases like this one before. Second, you don't see that the valid proofs if you can really get the profits as the scammer stated. You should never trust a person easily without strong or valid proofs, moreover you don't really know the person. Even the scammer uses the names of popular people in the world, you must check and cross-check the validity. The last, if you find out something suspicious like this one and you are not really sure to analyze it yourself, you are better to ask more experienced people that you know well. You may have a close friend who already experienced for years in crypto space or you joined in some social media groups involving some experts there. Don't be shy to ask, it is much better than you are trapped in a scam!!  Wink

Social media is the basic way to commit these scams and go free. As it connects most people far and near together, making business possible without contact or the individuals having a concrete knowledge of themselves but with these advantages comes certain disadvantages and that's where these scammers exploit and their schemes when not checked seems to favour them. But, it's simple. You've just got to have policies that you follow on how to check mate projects before pumping in your funds except, you really don't care about the funds or how you got them. Even at that, loosing it is gonna be painful so do always use due diligence before investing.

It's not only on Instagram, also on crypto Facebook pages and even on youtube people make videos of how much ROI they have made from Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies, with fake follow through of comments were people claim they have also just received their own ROI. I mean, how can someone believe this, people try to believe that there's a quick money scheme waiting for them somewhere, when actually there is none.

One of the photos in the op reads: "earn $10,000 weekly investing in Bitcoin", with Bitcoin just a little above that price atm, it could mean earning one Bitcoin every week, it's plain stupid to believe this imo, what investment can even give this much ROI, or do people just love believing that Bitcoin is a 'gateway to riches' Sad rather than focusing on the technology and it's pros.

I think this kind of scam is everywhere on Facebook, in every Facebook group or community. Showing a stack of money to encourage people to invest or be a part of what they are doing.

Most of the time people who post a photo holding a stack of money are scammers since they are no reason to show a stack of money, it is most likely a referral thing in a lot of pyramiding websites. They are getting a big commission in inviting investor in their websites, so showing a stack of money is a good move encouraging a lot of people in social media, and we could see that this is thousand of comments from this post asking what they need to do in order to earn that money too.

There is no way you could just easily trust this kind of people especially when it just comes from a social media platform where everyone could easily create their one account.

This is the first time I saw a bitcoin promition scam with the use of Instagram. For sure there are a lot of people will make an investment in this scam because this is the easiest way to catch them.

First, make a photo of having a lot of money
Second spread on the internet
Wait for the people to response
Entertain them.
Brainwash
Don't scam the first investment
If they make a large investment this is the scam will happen

More often this is the phase on this kind of scam beware because there is no person who will double your money easily.

Don't generalize by speaking for everyone. Bitcoin scam comes in different form which educated person can fall into. Tempted to high rate of investment easily makes many loose their education.
Scammers are smart people and it's obvious they still have victims who fall for tricks that's why they keep posting these flashy cars, money, etc. Othererwise, they would have stop. Any form of investment with too good ROI is a no for me.

The sad part is that most of these "beware of x" are seen too late - or people are just silly enough to believe in these things. They're quite obvious. How often do we really hear about close people who've been offered a magic package of knowledge and turned rich out of nowhere? If someone almost falls for this type of thing, they honestly need to learn their lesson one way or another.

Most of they knows about the scam things. But they trusted it as the thing announced from top richest people account.
Yeah, it's sad to see that people literally put all their trust into some people just because they're celebrities or rich. Money doesn't make you a good human.

People who are connected with crypto for so long doesn't fall in those scammer trap. Mostly newbies fall in their trap. Greedy people also become a victim by those scam project. And finally they learn from their mistakes and achieve knowledge about it. A lot of people became victim of the recent twitter hack. Most of they knows about the scam things. But they trusted it as the thing announced from top richest people account. You can avoid those by proper awareness.

Too much obvious a scam before I'm just seeing this kind of activity into the platform of youtube, Facebook, and nowhere on instgram, this is a common scam right now, they will post a large amount of earning to their social media and of course some of the people getting curious and will ask and try to make an investment, at the very first start of the investment they will return a large amount of money and now they will encourage you to make an investment to them with a large amount.

I found the same issues like this but in trading scam too.

They are using the name of bitcoin to make trade and investment if they already give a good profit to their victims they encourage them again to make investment and now they are disconnecting all of the communication to their victims.

Even, this is not only on social media, it can be everywhere. ICO had become scam since 2017. Out of 100% ICO, over 75% or more are scam, real scam. Out of the remaining 30%, 25% or more are failed projects, some are even wolf of wall street which are completely pump projects that will easily be dumped by the people/scammers that set it up. So, normally, ICO is not what we can advice someone to invest on as 95% of it or more are scam, not to talk of social media ones which are 100% scam.
