It is an old one for sure and like all the other scams, it keeps on coming back.
That's what I noticed and it truly is an old one but can't be stopped and there will be new victims of it. As long as they see people that are still becoming victims of this old trick, this old trick will continue to live.

While many of us are quite educated here about these scams, theres still so many that are not and they will fall victim at some point. All it takes is a small lapse in judgement and some disctraction/weaker state of mind and its so easy to make a bad decision. Ive been scammed before and im sure i will be in the future aswell, best to take it as a learning experience.
Exactly.

We're aware of many of their scam ways but there will always be the beginners that are not yet aware of such will be targeted by them. And sadly, they're likely to fall for it easily.

What it looks like:

They will approach you and say something like this: Hey, i have seen you on gambling telegram or in a casinos chat room and i have a deal for you. They offer you an "exploit" that would allow you to win easily but they want 30% in return. They often offer screenshots etc of admin panel and so on.

They then give you a link to a casino and ask you to deposit there. BUT in reality, they control the casino and once you deposit, the money is theirs. And you have been scammed.
This is an old scheme but scammers are still using this method, three or four years ago when this method was exposed but many are still not aware of this the rule of the thump is never trust people who are friendly to you and tell you about bugs or exploits because if the exploit is true they will not share it to anyone and continue to exploit those bugs, it pays not to be too friendly especially on telegram I found out that these people are faking their profile they even call you and use a female voice which is a software so you'll fall to their scheme, schemes like this always comes out from time to time, because there are always willing victims.

We don't need to worry too much because we already know their method of deceiving people. After all, they always offer attractive offers that people are tempted to try to take them. Perhaps the case is that the @Coin_trader case will still appear, where they will target people who often display their big wins on their social media while saying that they have very attractive offers.

Those who already know must remain careful because they might approach us and offer a different offer than before. The important thing is that if we don't know them and there is such an offer, we can immediately avoid it. Don't try to talk to them because they can invite you without you knowing. So be careful.

This scam can easily be avoided if we do DYOR or do our own research and we are not very eager to make easy money, you will just feed these scammers if you entertain them and answer all their questions, I watched one documentary where scammers by asking questions and the answers they got they will know if they can easily lead you to their trap, they are persistent believe me, they are trained to do this and this is their work online.

There are so many scams on the internet and they are all deceiving you into believing that there's easy money and they are doing it, when someone talks to you about easy money don't think twice about hitting the block button, you can do a lot of things other than just entertaining these scammers.

I've read something like that and IIRC that was also here. Just don't entertain random people that offer you almost guaranteed money and too good to be true offers.
They are strangers that are just roaming around trying to look for their victims and just don't make yourself as a victim of theirs.
Thank you OP for giving that pointers as there could be newbie gamblers here that might not be aware of this sketchy scheme.

general rule: if it seems too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Unfortunately these scams continue to run because people believe that it is easy to get rich at the expense of others and they think that there are actually people on the internet who want to provide you with opportunities to get rich.

this discussion/warning, although it is connected to the gambling sector, I believe it should be included on scam accusations board.

If you get deals from an unknown person, then this is the first sign that you may get scammed. If the deal is so lucrative that you feel that it is easy money for you, then there are more chances that you will get scammed.

For sure, if anyone asks you to give us money so he can gamble and share profits, we will refuse instantly but gamblers always come up with new ways to scam us. This is a more advanced technique where the scammer has his own gambling site and whatever we deposit on that site actually becomes the property of the scammer.

Now the big question is how can we save ourselves from these scams.
The first is that we should not be greedy. This way, we can avoid many of such scammers attempt offering us easy money.

You’re right. Strangers offering you some instant opportunities are indeed too good be true. Note that people will never give us an edge if they can’t take advantage on us first. That’s why they need our funds first so they can fulfill their promises as well. And if you are greedy enough, you will surely bite this kind of offer and easily believe that you will really get rich. And when you fall on their trap, that’s when you realized that you were taken advantage and get scammed.

This point is my red flag to identify scammers.  When they offer lucrative deals that are too profitable to resist.  Believe me, nobody will inform you if there is a genuine loophole in a casino to win easily. They will secretly use it because telling more persons will compromise or expose the illegal means.

This happened to a friend of mine aswell a few weeks ago, and he fell for it (small loss luckily). As he went to withdraw, they asked for his KYC aswell. So not only can you loose all your money, they get your ID aswell.

In short, be careful out there. Crooks are getting creative.
Doing a quick research on the casino will reveal the intention of these scammers. The website is usually cloned or an unknown casino. Social media platforms are the breeding ground for scammers and some of the information that emanates from them is fake, therefore we should always verify them.

Many scam gambling sites is still doing different schemes that misleads people unto something that's isn't reliable particular with their winning promises. Unfortunately when they got into trouble with their account, their withdrawal couldn't be successful. Most cases resulted to closure of the site and no support is available to cater different concerns, because it involves huge amount of funds took by scammers who initiated the root cause of the problem as planned.

I never trust the words of people I just met on Telegram, if you're involved in Cryptocurrency telegram is such a bad place to meet people you do not know their true intention they sweet talk you and entice you by showing proof of their payout, we have so many threads on scam accusations by schemes of people on telegram and also one of my parameters is their offer if its good to be true, its an alarm that you are a prospect of scammers so don't twice to hit the block button.

Moderate your greed no one will give you free money or a huge bonus on telegram there is no Santa Claus on telegram and if the method is hood they will never share it with people they just met, common sense is important when dealing with people on telegram.

This is why we should only play in a reputable casino that we already know and not new casinos, because most times it is the new casinos that these scammers uses to scam people, since it was developed for that purpose. It is a pity that greedy people will always fall for this scammers because they fail to think about free things or high profit offers, because they are after the getting rich quick.

[...]Crooks are getting creative.
This strategy probably existed long before you found out. I mean scammers just recycle their old method and use it on different platforms. It could be online casinos today and then some exchanges on the next few months. The problem is people become gullible because of their ignorance and greed so the cycle just continues.

This is a common scammers formula and it very clear and easy to detect their scheme,  why should you trust anyone through pm,  most especially in cases where they contact you first?

This is a clear case of scam that should be easily detected unless for the greedy ones who may want to try out their luck in such manner,  but thank goodness ops is warning us beforehand and we should take caution with offers that come through pms.

"Crooks are getting creative."  Grin So true.
But this is the first time I have heard about something like this. Directing gamblers to their gambling site so they can scam them there. For me, it's kind of difficult to make victims out of it because of trust issues but I guess the promise of 30% profits will be their ace to make it more attractive. Wise, but still I think gamblers will be doubtful especially those who first look at security.

Another story that I've heard is targeting those VIP ranks in a known gambling site. He told his story about an e-mail that he received after he just won something big and shared some of it through tips and some trivia with prizes. The content of the mail is about receiving a bonus and he was shocked because he already received the bonus for that month as a VIP. Luckily, he shared it in chat and a mod told him to check first on where the link would lead him without clicking it. There he found out that it was a hack/scam attempt that he avoided.

Truly, they are getting better at this and we must be aware of any possible scenario by sharing our own experiences or from others.

I want to add:

No, there was nothing about this, but I assume that this is exactly the scheme there. Do you really know nothing about the scheme when you are offered to bet on a “fixed match” and the commission (payment for your help) is very generous (up to 50%)? Moreover, you won’t even bet your money - the required amount will be transferred to you. The problem is that these coins are stolen and the scammers don’t care how much you pay - if you win, they will receive 50%, but with the white money that you receive from the casino, you will also receive the winnings, but also subsequent problems with the police (you provided your account, which means there will be questions to you). This is money laundering where you are left with dirty money in your hands.

Even if the scammers themselves offer you money, you should not deal with them. Not many people understand the entire algorithm, so they may fall for this more “advanced” scheme. As has already been written, free cheese can only be found in a mousetrap (and only for the second mouse), so never try to make money where you do not understand the whole topic.

Funny how there's always a someone fallen to classic scam, there's no free lunch.

If someone can win easily through their exploit skill and they currently don't have any money, they can take a loan from banks and make a lot money from it, then payback the loan + interest. No one will give you a way to win or become rich if they can do that by themselves.

Victims are likely in a hurry to make money thinking the offer might not last or given to someone else. Scammers are often going to make you decide fast.

Always suspect them to be a scam when an offer is too good to be true especially if they are the ones who approached you the first. This kind of scam was known before, but they still can find people to fall for it so they still keep doing it.

I believe only those newbie that doesn’t have enough casino experience or users that doesn’t know forum to deteemine trusted casino is the only possible victim on this scheme since you will think twice on depositing money on an unknown casino if you are regular player of trusted casino no matter how good the offer is.

But there’s really potential victim on this scheme since many newbie still being attracted on bonus and sure money rewards despite uncertainty on casino reputation. Sadly, we can’t educate everyone on how to deal with scam.

Gamble responsibly
They then give you a link to a casino and ask you to deposit there. BUT in reality, they control the casino and once you deposit, the money is theirs. And you have been scammed.
On some casinos, you will have to gamble with the money you deposited before you can be able to withdraw, but if you win, the scammers can be smarter and withdraw before the victim will think of withdrawing.

There are some casinos that you will be able to withdraw all your money after you have deposited even without gambling. I guess the scammer will let people to deposit on casinos that the scammer will be able to withdraw the money even without using the money for gambling.

This scam is easy to avoid, but some people are greedy and thinking they have something good coming, not know they have been dealing with scammers.
