I don't get the point of this thread still being open. Hasn't Deep Onion proved they are not a scam by the amount of time they have been around for? I get that some people disliked them at the start for the way they went about things with there acceptance to the airdrop rules. But they were only trying to root out all the scammers etc. I am not in the Deep Onion airdrop but i have had a look at there forum and it looks pretty cool, so good on them i say!

No.  The longer the con the more money they can make.

I just went on their website and it looks strange too... I had never heard about this project before. The first few pages look legit but when you start looking for their team a weird window pops open and you cannot really find them...

There is no team.

That's not really a huge issue in my book.

The fact that they're pretending there is...

I have a question for those who think that DeepOnion is a scam:
What do you think about the features DeepOnion has? DeepVault for instance?

You realize that "feature" has been in bitcoin for years, right?

The team is anonymous, you won't find them. What pop up window do you mean?

Because the more successful DeepOnion becomes, the more fudders will come. Especially with the new rules that kick out all the cheaters automatically.

what makes you think that it is a scam?
just fair scheme of free distribution?

There are lots of fair schemes of distribution: I mean free airdrops when everybody interested can get some amount of tokens, some limited and random giveaways, giveaways based on owning of other tokens, and, finally ICO. But how can you name it fair, when it is required to buy some tokens to get some chance of getting some more? It is classical Ponzi scheme mixed with gambling. It is not fair and it is not free. It is free only for those who's already in it, so thats why this thread still exists.

I like how this thread's first intention is irrelevant now as DeepOnion is proving itself to be one of the best featuring security cryptocurrencies in existance. Week 2 might have been scary, but now everything is regulated and nice.

I am not so sure about all this criticize. But what are gonna lose if deeponion is truly a scam? One hour per day to post some threads? Wearing their signature during the airdrop period? Join their community to see what they are doing? I don't get it. There is no ICO, no crowdfunding, you don't even need to bring your real $$$ on the table. Time will tell. Smiley

You're either playing dumb or you're missing the point. The people getting scammed aren't those receiving "airdrop" payments -- although many have advertised for DeepOnion and been cheated out of their signature payments.

Devs hold a highly concentrated supply and use an army of shills whom they don't need to pay real money. The latter gets naive people to buy into DeepOnion, sold on its vaporware promises (which are nothing more than buzzwords). The former comes into play when the price of Onions rises. Then the devs will dump everything on you guys. The people getting scammed are the investors who actually put money in.

Im the very decease you pretend to be
The definition of scam have to be revised after the era of Bitcoin.
The Big Other is really getting hold of our souls. We invest money into things that we believe should work.
The problem with cryptocurrency is stakeholders. Distribution not only of coins, but also miners and supported exchanges.
Cryptocurrency people are pragmatic. They wont hold it till it costs milion USD, they will settle for 500K USD.
DeepOnion peoples are ok. They try to spread coins, they have PoS. They have added value (BTW if i could pay for my appartment in Onions and save rent agreement as document on the chain would be nice)
They lack exchanges and real time applications.
I personally waiting for reason to dump it. But until now i dont have one.

OMG jesus even the guys calling it a scam don't get it.
Like WOW how many times can i state the obvious ?
Like holy bloody christ people..

It has nothing to do with how much you may or may not get from "it".
It's about... HOW IT WORKS.

Which relates directly back to ideology and fairness and intent etc.
How the mother fucking god is this not blatantly obvious ?
Why do you *ALL* have to be told this relentless for years on end ?

Maybe get the fuck on Google idiots.. put that in --> "define: scam"
While your at it.. research up on Ponzi and Pyramid schemes.

A rigged coin is scammy.. no matter how much some investard made off it.
Because it's rigged.

Get this kidiots.. scams are highly profitable $$$
Why the hell has humanity been scamming for 100's of years ?
Because it MAKES MONEY.
So saying "it can't be a scam because i made money off it" like the others on this topic did earlier is retarded.

Crypto is a magnifying glass.
It clarifies and highlights the stupidity and immoral behavior of the masses attracted to this idiotic bullshit.
As soon as you all the majority start talking it casts a spotlight on your shitbird idiocy.

I received like 4000€ for making some posts and you call it a scam? lol, funny folks here

make your posts here for NOTHING, only spread FUD, because you missed the chance. poor u
That sounds like "Okay, I done $40m in Casino, so, you funny guys, still think Casino always wins?".

The question was not about those who already received some money, it is about those who will buy 100 onions now, for pretty shitty chances to get more for free. And I call this SCAM only because you don't call it honestly GAMBLING, but try to persuade everyone it is FREE and AIRDROP.

Lol, no matter how much fud you guys spread.  One thing is certain, you guys have succeeded in turning this thread into a positive advertisement.  More and more people are coming thanks to you guys.  Keep up the good work  Cheesy

Did you invent that retort NOOB ?
I do believe i heard that before here.

Crying FUD for bucks ? i heard that before too.

More and more people are greedy scammy pieces of shit that will support anything that is paying out.
Like the very noobs who were defending this shitcoin by saying "it can't be a scam because i made money (Bitcoin) off it"

Positive advertisement ?
What like a FAKE airdrop which is actually nothing but a SIG advertisement campaign ?

@ezhui
You part of the coin running puppets & socks ?
I bet yes..

"There is no ICO, no crowdfunding" ..you said ?
And ?
In case you didn't notice all thee other scammy ass noobs have no problem with "startups" or crowd funding or ICO's.

Oh and NOOB.. a premined coin is pretty much the same as an ICO (both premined)
You leap frogged over the dev's premining huge amounts of the coin then keeping them.. then staking them.
As though that is better  Cheesy
