I just joined the scam!
I've been keeping a half eye on the crypto currencies for years, and didn't really believe in it, and when the BTC rounded 1000$ I sold the little I had, thinking it can't go much higher.
After that, I've been using more and more time reading up, testing mining on gaming rig and pc's, even created a coin just to see if i could (never really released), and joined several airdrops which I found here and other places, googling.
When I saw the DeepOnion airdrop for the first time in august, I felt I missed a big one, and in many ways I did, but I registered here (could and should have done years ago really), to have a chance joining other airdrops.
If nothing else, I joined their forum (deeponion.org/community), and tried to involve myself.
After just a few days, I had a handful onions in my wallet, from giveaways and bounties etc.
You can earn quite a lot if you do some bounties, find bugs, participate in giveaways, and even just being active in general give you a fair share of onions by gaining points for posting and even logging in.
Now, just a few weeks later, I have managed to fill my wallet with more than 100 onions (requirement for airdrop), and can look forward to maybe 100 more this sunday from the activity points.
It haven't cost me a single deposit.
So, I guess I am in on the scam now?

I think most would say it is a well tailored release of a very promising cryptocurrency.

I don't know who revived this topic, but this is old.

This was big like a couple of months ago. DeepOnion proved that it's not a scam, and that it was all blown out of proportions.

ONION to the moon!

So what exchanges is it on?

you can buy Onions on NovaExchange and Cryptopia exchange. Price is quite very low.... only 60 cents a piece and only max supply of 25m in some years.

Not sure if it's a scam but any newcomers don't join or become part of the airdrop. You will get peanuts,  a few onions if that.

The team and their buddies are raking in thousands of coins whereas anyone new gets jack.

I was genuinely interested in this coin but the airdrop process is a joke. If you question them they will accuse you of being too negative, want free money, want to dump etc etc

Look at other projects with a better team.

I like to look at code also. "Deepvault" is closed source and windows only. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
LOL! This sounds interesting! Grin

Is there another github than https://github.com/deeponion?   I was reviewing it before to find out where they forked it from, what changes were made, and the functionality of any new code.  I wanted to get back to my review as I got side tracked and noticed it has a couple updates 25 days ago and other than that hasn't been touched for months.  I was hoping they had a newer open source version of their code.
It is a dash and bitcoin plus clone.

Thanks for the information. It will be easier to compare changes.  But I am also interested in recent development like deepvault which is why I was wondering if they have another github as this one has not been updated in awhile.  I like to look at code.

I don't think that  they're scam. What I do know is that they make you sweat for their bounties and getting access to DeepOnion is not easy (though they do have giveaway bounties (smallbounties)).
I will do more research on the Team ... now that I know about your article..
I am interested in why you don't think that Deeponion is a scam. Are you holding any of those coins or are you just talking?

Definitely not seeing a scam here. People are overly paranoid about alot of things in crypto and it's definitely showing here. I suppose we will see how much of a "scam" it is over time and if it is successful or not.

I wonder why you all act so super surprised,lol..it's an airdrop coin or should I rather say another quick to dump coin. I advice everyone to invest their time and effort into a project, that really makes sense. Pay good attention to the team, are they passionate about their project? Try to read between the lines, guys. A bunch of you guys have been doing this bounty hunting for a while now, you should really have an instinct by now, which token/coins will be of high value.

Yes that's true! some of my friends has deep onion token and trade it to nova with no problem and earn cash, so this is not a scam and worth of investment also, and has potential in market because of it's value now.

deep onion is not a scam maybe before we can think that deep onion is a scam nut for now it is not and the proof of it that we can earn profit on it and if this is a scam maybe we cant get profit when we trade it.

@supertee who critizes here DO: This guy developed a WebWallet, nobody wanted and nobody requested. Hid did not receive extra coins and was pissed off. I am just curious why he developed a WebWallet? An anonoyous wallet in control of him where other participants transfer money to? I am glad this guy is out, he brought a bad mood in. Now he even makes DO bad, although he received 1.5 BTC via airdrop from the project. Very grateful man.

The Webwallet is still online and holds for sure more than double the amount of onions you hold..  Wink What I wrote is my honest opinion as a developer. I did not ask for a bounty for the webwallet. I am a developer, I did it out of curiosity. However, while the first webwallet, that was announced by DeepOnion got hacked with several thousand onions on it (make up your own mind, where these onions have gone to), my wallet is still online holding onions, although I left the project. Wink So better don't call someone (you even don't know, not even ever talked to) a scammer.

By the way, you registered in May this year.. congratulations, some newbie with no experience, trying to talk about things he does not know about. Almost all of your posts come from the DeepOnion Signature campaign  Grin

What do you want to say with your first sentence? Yeah, you devleoped it so why should you close it. You can say it holds 1000k ONIONs without proof it is just fog.

It is just weired that you put work for a project that has zero potential. Very authentixc. BTW: I never used the word scammer. Just saying it is not logical that you first put work into a project you think is not worth to invest in.
