I think that the expenses are inevitable and most times imperative and when the need calls you would have to meet up. It means that lots of factors affect the price movements. And the market has been more or less the same as it has been the majority of this year. Also I am not aware of any Black Friday offers as yet, the market is maybe not as active as it was at this time last year.

There's not been much in the way of price movement, maybe we'll see more on cyber monday given that most crypto owners are that way inclined? Still there's been a small drop today so perhaps that could be attributable to black friday.

Black Friday is a scam. Most prices, if you track them, they just fluctuate around the year, and the average price is not lower on Black Friday on many items. Black Friday is just another excuse for mindless consumerism. If you have to buy something and you see a good offer go for it, but a lot of people fall victim of that dopamine rush you get from buying whatever. The net result is that you have lost money because you bought things you don't really need.

Having said that, looks like the price didn't do anything special today, we are on that $4-4.3k odd range right now, if it can be sustained above $4k I think we'll have a bit of a bull for x-mas.

if they use bitcoins as the payment option. This will balance out the over supply of bitcoins, when there is a increase in the demand for coins.
I feel this is a little exaggerated, If the merchant accepts bitcoin as payment, it doesn't exclusively mean that they will just store the bitcoins thus "increasing the demand for Bitcoins since there will be a few in supply"
Most merchants will actually trade them off once morefor fiat so that they can be able to restock. Demand comes when the actual number of people wanting to buy bitcoins at a particular time is massive... that's when we can see a significant rise in price.

Just a little reminder for the Bitcoin price watchers! The price will drop slightly today, because a lot of people will be buying some goods and services with some of their bitcoins. These bitcoins will increase the supply of bitcoins on exchanges and we might see a little drop in the price as a direct result of that.
The worst drop has already occured days ago, so I don't think people will panic a lot because of Friday. The price has fallen 5% already as the day is almost over in Europe. USA hasn't started it yet, so I guess another 5% drop by the nest morning is realistic. I think it's okay when the price drops because people need to buy stuff. If they could pay with btc, they wouldn't sell their coins.
Your logic is perfectly sound, I just don't think that there's enough people spending bitcoin today for it to have any noticeable influence on the price. It would need to be millions of dollars or more to move the market. Either way, merit for your actual grasp of the situation and the underlying economics behind it.
Well, from what I see, people are absolutely crazy about Black Friday. I found information that last year retailers in the US earned $7.9 billion dollars. You are saying that millions will need to be moved out of the market, which will be some really low percentage even for the US, whereas we also have the rest of the world!

A noticeable drop would mean that there are a lot of merchants accepting bitcoin payments on Black Friday sales which, AFAIK, isn't a lot. Also remember that after Black Friday comes Cyber Monday, and that should also be noted as more shops would surely entice people to cop on exclusives and deals, and that might include bitcoin-exclusive deals. This could somewhat relieve the supply on the market right now and hopefully demand will increase should there be a lot of bitcoin-exclusive deals floating around on the said holidays.

I dont thin kthat this is a valid reason why btc price should go down , the crypto market regarding vendors who accept this asset, is too small to have a real impact on the price.
The price is dropping because we are stil in extremely bearsih market.

Hopefully, the inverse opposite will happen.  Smiley

A spike in bitcoin transaction volume on black friday will be associated with increased demand. Which in turn will elevate the overall value of BTC and tug the crypto market cap upwards with it.

I see news outlets quoting outdated and obsolete "investigators focusing on tether bitcoin link" content. Quoting #fakenews that is near to a year old that was disproven months ago appears to be a weak attempt at negative market manipulation for crypto. That seems to imply there is an attempt being made to devalue btc, perhaps to create a buy in point for hedge funds and institutional investors who recently entered crypto markets.

On the plus side, those who complained about a single bitcoin being too expensive could have a more affordable bitcoin to celebrate the holidays with.

So DO NOT panic, if this happens today.

We hope that people will be motivated by merchants to buy at a reduced price, if they use bitcoins as the payment option. This will balance out the over supply of bitcoins, when there is a increase in the demand for coins.

So Bitcoin merchants, offer some of those large discounts to people who only use Bitcoin as a payment option and see how the price will increase.  Roll Eyes

Hope this makes some sense.  Tongue

People who usually tell people not to panic are divided into two types, one is the currency-free state usually called the audience, and the other is the comfort mentality, because it is also one of the investors who buy bitcoin. In fact, when the market price is so low, investors should leave the cryptocurrency market. Instead of numb fantasy, get rich overnight!
