I just woke up and saw "New Scam miners" a highlight already. Looks like they cleaned house there.

Even better, they've deleted my follow-up post explaining that I personally edited their post but haven't been able to further edit their opening post making it look like they personally wrote the post that way.

As I replied in a pm, after finally having time to read through these counter threads, deleted my post from their thread. The ebay sales clinched that. It was never meant as any sort of endorsement -- more of a 'how curious and not *immediately suspicious'. And yes at the price - perhaps interested in purchase IF things continue to look right.

They blew that right out of the water.

edit: as as for the query about PM's, It is not often that I respond to them but DO at least read them. Most are dealing with topics that should be stated in public (tech questions) and that is where I prefer to reply.

And now NFW has deleted his post (or it was the OP deleting it, seems unlikely though) from the SM thread...

I was drunk "af" when I made the post on their thread. Maybe an excuse, but maybe not. It is the weekend but most users here seem pretty active.

I'm told all our conversations have been cordial with who ever is on the other end of this  but have been asked to not visit their site till dust settles.

Soo very intrigued on how this plays.  

I think it was obvious sarcasm too. Invisible on the Internet to some people, apparently.

I sent him two headed "ASGARD", no reply, the first one way back, when my "he's not who he says he is" post was deleted and he posted the original 'positive' message.
Strangely 19 minutes after I sent that, he went to the post and edited it into a fucking eulogy, by adding the bolded bit.


And then, after my second message basically asking "WTF?", he added the visible edit, winding his neck in a bit.

And, in the middle of it all, we had that Cloudflare weirdness. (And ironically ended up with Theymos, who allegedly wouldn't know how to plug a miner in, multiple quoting a self modded thread by a [probable] scammer.)

NFW was pissed up when he made the first post. I understand that there's lots of hopes for new toys soon in the mining world and maybe he posted a bit indiscreetly.
Some jumped up "scam buster" pisses him off by pm'ing, out of the blue, with a picture of a guy on a Russian dating site, so he thinks "I'll make it clear I think that's FUD, not a red flag" and edits to "Yey, suckers, I know what I'm talking about." level.
Gets second pm from me and reads the circling vulture posts (thanks QS) and thinks "Oh, fuck I wish I hadn't had that second bottle" and edits yet again, to back peddle.
Currently not daring to come on line for 24 hours (although it is Sunday), thinking "Oooops....how do I get myself out of this?"

Or maybe not.

 

In my self mod threads I can only Delete them not edit them.

Which means one of the below
a fuzzy changed it
b fuzzy was hacked password not changed and only that edit was done
c someone that has privileges to edit did it
d fuzzy has sold out.
E something else

I do think hags was sarcastic.

Understood, and thanks. I nevertheless remain of the opinion that HagssFIN was merely being sarcastic, until proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be otherwise. His post therefore currently does not qualify as spam in my opinion.

I also thought this could be true.
I also thought that both fuzzy and hags had compromised accounts.
I also thought  that both of them were paid off.
I also thought that were are held hostage and being told to write that.

I finally thought that I simply do not know WTF is up with the thread.

I TAGGED HIM AS A SCAMMER SO I WILL NOT REQUEST A DEMO MINER FROM HIM AS THAT IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

However if the op offers some demos to others and shows he has a 0.052 watt miner to sell I will remove my tag.

Thanks for responding, I do appreciate that.  I would have preferred actually if you marked it bad if you didn't agree with it.

1) I did not report NFW's because I completely agree it is not spam (ie it did not break forum rules) and the onus is always on the customer to do their own dd
2)  I did not report the Self Mod'd thread as I did not see it as breaking any rules.
3)  I reported Hagssfin post because it looks like another "great project" one line shit post we have all deleted hundreds of times.  I actually thought there was sufficient rule being broken to warrant deleting it.
4)  I did not ask to remove the post to stoop down to the OP's level or have it removed because it's an endorsement of sorts.  I asked for it to be removed as Spam or breaking the rules the side effect being it was not their anymore.  I asked for the post to be removed because it violates forum rules IMO, if you don't agree I can and will respect that.

Honestly man I am not looking for a fight I respect your decision and I will leave it at that!
