He also said: "Why in the world should I take a long or short position in something I don't know anything about."

I think he may not really understand cryptocurrency and how it works. So, I would take his advice with a pinch of salt.

What is your  opinion as per  Warren buffet statement, he is a wealthy giant globally he told CNBC on Wednesday the recent craze over bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies won't end well. "In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending,"
Am really scared hope the end is not near. I want to hear from knowledgeable individual what the future holds.
What the hell does WF has to do with crypto? He is against it so what do you expect? I suggest you guys just stop for a day and took a day off. To much negativity will really affect your mind and your health.

If you are scared and worried then just get the hell out of the market right now. That's why we always hear members saying "weak hands are shaken". You are the definitive description of a weak hands.

You can just wait this crash and not panic because this is just temporary. But if you want to incurred loses instead of profit in the long run, then sell everything.
at some point i have observed that people against the idea of bitcoin, really is pressing the issue about the end of cryptos and bitcoin. What they are doing is discouraging people from patronizing bitcoin ( correct me if i am wrong  ). Little did they know that with all the negativities about these kind of news, many strong hands are more encouraged to invest more. In this way, we can separate the weak hands from the strong hands.
Never mind these kind of predictions, if you want to buy bitcoin then buy... Nobody is stopping anybody.  Smiley

Lol Warren Buffett has held IBM's stock for the last 20 years, clearly he does not understand technology whatsoever. Besides all of these traditional wall street guys just don't understand this market because they have never seen anything like it.

The whole reason people in power denounce bitcoin is because it undermines their personal methods for making money. In some cases these same people speaking out against it are buying it, profiting off it, manipulating it and sabotaging it. a huge example of this is Dimon for example. Anyone with ties to banks, don't trust them. They hate watching their money funnel into something they can't control. Also many of these same people sold there BTC and placed a bet on the futures against bitcoin. in some cases it's a self fulfilling prophecy. Mind you you also have the people who missed out secretly wanting it to go away as well...but it sadly is here to stay regardless.

Warren Buffet statement wouldn't be the reflection of this platform future. At first, you have to clarify about your source where from you get this Warren Buffet statement. This type of negative statement would be a cause for staying away from this platform week believer like you.

So don't judge this platform with other statements. you have to be strong mentally if you want to be attached to this platform. I can assure you of this platform that you will get a large amount of profit if you are able to get involved for a long time.

Who cares what he thinks and talks, we believe in what we believe and that's it we don't get dictated just because he is a successful person and other reasons. I do think that we should stick to what we believe and that's how we can surely be successful in the future not to be dictated by other person perspectives. Don't be scared of what other people say be scared of not trying and regret in the future.

Though many people won't agree on Warren Buffet but their words are influential whether it is true or not. There is always a power on the words, it can cause catastrophic if it not use or filtered wisely.  Sometime it is better to conceal some  information specially came from influential person so that it cannot influence and cause panic to those who are weak.

Warren Buffett's strategy is simple. He smack talk Crypto currencies in the hope that people would steer clear of Crypto currencies and rather invest in the Fiat crap that he is invested in. The more people invested in his over-priced crap, would push up the share prices and he will make more money.

Warren Buffett and rich guys like him, never give free advice. There are always a hidden agenda behind their "free" advice.

Warren Buffet is an old man who is honest about admitting that he knows nothing about tech.

In the 1990's he avoided all tech stocks: he said he didn't understand them and that made him vulnerable to mistakes. So he didn't invest in any of them. He missed the duds like pets.com, but also the winners like Google.

He is just being consistent here. He doesn't understand cryptocurrency. He feels he doesn't know which one will be the winner. It seems to him that it might be a repeat of the 1990s when loads of people poured loads of money in the dud stocks just because they had dot.com next to their name.

Why are people getting so upset about his opinion. He is right that if you don't understand something, you should stay away. And that no-one knows who the winner will be from this revolution. (In 1999 it didn't look like google - that only became apparent a decade later).

Warren Buffet makes his investment based on fundamentals. So, I can say for sure that Warren Buffet and any fundamental investor does’t have positive opinion about Bitcoin.

When bitcoin falls, there are always some celebrities who come out and blame it. I suspect that this group of people tried to short the market because they eventually found that they had bought it again. All you have to do is wait.

I do not believe in this. I think the bitcoin market is still a very good market and we need to work for them. The electronic money market can be seen as a new trend in the world. It is a great market for those who want to make money online.
Despite being a successful entrepreneur and one of the top 10 in the world, what Warren Buffet says is not necessarily true. let's hold on.

I think he wants to buy some for himself and he likes a good bargain. So, FUD the market and then pick up when the price drops. It's not fair but that's how people of influence do it.

I'm being a little snarky here. I don't really know Mr. Buffet's motives. But having prominent people knock Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general happens a lot, and sometimes it does negatively affect the price. So far that effect has always been temporary.

Another thing going on is that it's the typical post-Christmas January-February market slump. If you have money to burn, pick up some more coins. If you already own the coins you want, wait it out. It should get better in a few months.

Why would anyone still listen to Warren Buffet? He’s 87 years old. He probably craps in his pants as much or more than he does on porcelain. He thinks someone giving you a teabag is making you tea. Snowballing to him is when you gang up on someone in a snow ball fight. This was a badassed new car when he started investing:

His knowledge and understanding of the world is outdated. His day to help anyone investing in anything ended about twenty years ago.

HAHAHAHA YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Warren Buffet?Huh  What a fucking joke.  Why don't we pay a little more attention to people like Elon Musk (Paypal, Tesla, SpaceX, Boring, etc.) than Warren Buffet (Amex, BofA, etc.)....... Elon Musk, who in all fairness has the Founder's Fund with 100s of millions of dollars in BTC, invests in the future... Warren Buffet invests in the companies BTC is set to disrupt... does anyone wonder Warren Buffet thinks BTC is going to fail?

Invest in your future, not your past.

I understand that the government have the power to fight and win, but as fight against cryptocurrencies, I doubt that the end will be now. Looking at the benefit attached to it and the decentralization of bitcoin which is very difficult to shutdown by any government. So I believe that bitcoin still have a long way to go.

I don't know about the "end" part of what he's saying, as I don't think bitcoin is going to end.

I have great respect for Warren Buffet, and I understand what he's saying and why he said it.  There's no business backing bitcoin, and no government.  It's just the free markets that are responsible for whatever price bitcoin is, and as of late it doesn't even seem like the market is exactly "free".  I think it's being manipulated, big time.  And he's kind of right--the market has dropped over 50% after rising an incredible amount.  That's enough to give most investors pause.  But remember, he's only one voice and he's not always right.

When fiat whales give an opinion on an issue, they have the power of influence on individual and government, I love the fact that you said he is only one voice and he is not always rigth, sure the battle will be won to the side of Bitcoin.

Warren Buffet is only into investing in Stocks and purchasing companies. He might be worried that his companies will not exist anymore because of Bitcoin.

This is not the first comment from Warren Buffet about bitcoin,he is always skeptical about bitcoin as he is a old individual who does not understand about technology,so you really cannot complain about it as it is hard for him to learn about these things at this age. Tongue There is no doubt that the technology behind is ground breaking,i cannot speculate about the price but i am sure we will see the growth in due time.
