That's because of Bitcoin's ridiculous bull run. Once it calms down we should see Waves in a bull market since the new mainnet is ready and the new client is coming soon as well with a trading platform that seems to be superior to the market standard.

Waves hit the record yet when the news about new decentralized platform were widespread. I don’t know if the growth will become continuous. I suppose so. We’ll see. This crypto looks quite fresh to make next records. NICE!!!
We've been expecting big growth for a long time, it is still very much under priced - especially with all the business links Sasha has been making. Perhaps when the new UI is released or smart contracts it will rise up properly. It should be at least $10 but we shall have to wait and see I guess.
$10 will be low even after the correction. The pump is creeping up slowly and people seem to be FUDding in some threads to delay it for accumulation purposes, which makes me even more bullish.

Based on what MonaCo pulled off in the last two days I wouldn't be surprised if Waves jumped to $14~$21 with Waves NG next week.I also hope that the price of this coin will soon be higher. This is a promising project, which is now going through not the best of times. But the idea is strong, so you can expect a big growth soon

I also have a very good feeling about Waves.. I might suggest you no less than to stay with this coin . If you want to invest, you shouldn't sit tight too long - those Waves price will prepare skyrocketed soon, same time Along many people didn´t bring it on their portofolio right now.
I don't know what Waves has got to do with Eth Classic, but I hope that this correction is short lived

If you comapare the bitcoin pair of waves with bitcoin pair of eth classic, you will see that waves has still been holding strong compared to the latter. I think it will boom in the next alt run for sure.

So now that all the forks, Bitcoin cash pumps etc are all out of the way Altcoins are now going back to orginal prices.
But there is one that I want to bring up.. WAVES. So I do support waves and do hold some myself but what I'm thinking is, is it going to rise higher than usual this month or next month?
My reason for the thought is because they are releasing Waves-NG this month, increasing its speed and whole design and layout of the GUI. Also they have combated the "counterfeit token" issues they use to have by only allowing you to search by name for verified tokens.
So what does everyone think maybe it could hit $7 - $9 a coin?

Waves is showing signs of recovering, but I guess all delays with the roadmap don't really help the price.
It can easily reach 20-30$ per coin . Its very the understated active , and have many perspectives.

Now Waves is at $6.39. Waves starting growing on peak frm 16 July,2017. It had ups and downs. But the price did not fall down to earth. Its slowly growing up. A healthy growth with positive trend. It turned many investers towards it as like other top altcoins in the market. By end of December 2017, the waves price will certainly reach $7 to $7.30. Waves already showing sign of a bull run with $7.50 today. Yes, it has reached it peak already but I think there will be a second coming from this coin. Its that almost all altcoin are affected by the rising tide of bitcoin price. Most traders are shifting to bitcoin for now because the profit is really good.
I'm sure that 2018 will be a good year for Waves, this coin is not yet forgotten, I believed that their are people who are willing to bet their money on it, however not at this current state, bitcoin is the king and we have to wait for the proper time for altcoins like Waves to rise again.
