I think hold the right way, waves are trusted coins. I also hodling waves very high. But ETH is higher than Waves and more clearly forward. I knew the Waves were about to approach the ethereum but by that time the ethereum was very far away. That would still be good news if the Waves would reach it.
Waves is the tough platform that is also using Smart contracts like Ethereum. I do not think that you have any reason to sell these altcoins now. This cryptocurrency will have the bigger value in future.
I would say hold is always better than sale. Place your predictable price order and wait till it filled. My strategy is to hold for long term (5-6 years minimum)

If you want to make a profit, then it is certainly better to hold the coins until the end of the year. Now the market is red and I do not see any reason to sell coins. 
I wont recommend investing to waves anymore. Waves dont have the impact they have in the past. Day by day waves losing community and active trader. This is why i sell already my waves before. Waves will having a hard time to comeback because only small number are using their platform and exchange.
I can not say with confidence about the future of Waves but I'm sure that this coin can have a great future. The outlook is pretty big!
You should hild because it takes time to pump again and I think you should wait until the time comes that waves will pump again. You don’t need to be worry because it will pump again.
