I'm dumbfounded by some of the choices from what's stated above to integrating with the #17 volume based exchange to highlight the project. Nothing we can do, they have the investment, it's there's to do as they see fit. I want them to do well, thats why I get frustrated with the string of poor choices.
I'd be surprised if many people would trust a low performing exchange >50+ BTC. Maybe their target is a different market, then Bittrex makes sense. It seems like they think everyone wants it on Polo to dump, that's why out of touch with bigger traders. I want my money on an exchange I trust, once that happens, I'm not at the whim of this dev team.
I guess you should stop whining about why Bittrex and not Poloniex. There are also few statements of yours which are quite debatable to say the least.
Just two of them that seem the most pretentious:
1) Bittrex #17 volume-based exchange? Can I get a link to the full ranking, first? What kind of exchanges we are talking about in here (altcoin-bitcoin exchanges, bitcoin-fiat)? Helper question: what is yobit's rank?
2) Bittrex is a low performing exchange >50+ BTC? Well, at the times where altcoins were trading in huge volumes they got one of the biggest shares of it, with several coins exceeding 100BTC of daily volume. these days are long gone and only few altcoins at all can get to 100BTC+ of volume for a longer time period.
A lot of words that could have been solved by a simple search. Let me know what other research I can do for you. sigh
1.
https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/2.
Re-read what I said. A majority of larger traders, those that move 50+ btc stay off sites like that. I wasn't talking about a specific coin.
3.
Pretencious? As someone that got caught moving coins at BTER, I'm more cautious these days.
4.
Whining? I'm an investor that's sharing concerns. I'm not taking the bait. I wish you the best on your trades. I hope u have much success.
ok, now go back to that ranking and dobule check which of these exchanges trade BTC-fiat and which specialise in altcoin-BTC trades. In that second category Bittrex is #2 (Poloniex is #1).
comparing that to the volume of BTC-fiat or LTC-fiat is like comparing apples and oranges. therefore getting WAVES to Bittrex is a perfect place for trading. Poloniex will follow the suit if they don't want the ranking to reverse and Bittrex having majority share of volume (as Polo has for ETH).
second issue, you should be always very cautious, no matter which exchange you move your money to. No trust is the best rule. There are plenty of examples of big and small exchanges scamming people: Mt. Gox, Mintpal, coinex.pw, just to name the few.
