Wonder if decision has been made yet what country Waves will be registered although not sure what to wish as even Svicerland can throw some surprises sometimes. But it would be good if stability and predictability would be taken into account.

I really believe this project with my full heart.
I am not in just for price pumps, I believe it will be very good investment + service.

yeah we've heard that shit before. its never a sin to admit you're here for the profit when pumped.

You can still support and make a profit! I am quite hopeful about this project as well and also support it, however if I make some money out of it as well...why not! Smiley
Exactly-being sentimemtal doesn't  hurt (if you not marry  your investment  Cheesy)  but helps the project.I am also one of those who wish and think crypto has a big future and power to change not just financial but lots of other aspects of our lives for good.

It's very dangerous to buy Waves if you aren't able to go to a website and read my friend. Please reconsider Wink Wink

Bought some more waves Smiley I would like to build a bigger waves before the ICO ends. Honestly, i'm not so familiar with this ico and how altcoin truly works so i'm just here tagging along with others . Soon, i'll be intelligent enough for this things but for now, RIDE ON! . Waves have good logo! a nice combination of white and blue, seems like very formal to me thats why i mostly invested my bitcoins in here then a few btcs to lisk.

There seems to be a lot of hype with this project! Maybe I should invest more as well, I am just worried that it'll just flop!

Me too... But I just picked up more yesterday too. I'm wondering of psychologically we are jumping in to waves because it's more affordable then Ethereum. Fingers crossed this gets to be a huge success with massive gains!

My biggest issue is working how much too invest (or what I am willing to lose) I bought £70 worth yesterday and was thinking off rounding it up to an even £100! Then if it flops I've only lost a small bit of my portfolio. As you say, fingers crossed!! :-)
the chance to flop is minimum, and even if so it will hold some value , at worst case you will loose 75% of your invest
buts it way too early to ask how much it wil be , there is a little 2 weeks to wait and i think at the last days there will be some wales to invest.

You're doing it the right way. Dont put all your eggs into one basket and dont invest what you cant afford to lose.
This way you might have a positive surprise waiting for you later on

Those ETH, DAO and Dash as far as i know have wallets too.

Is there going to be a Windows wallet released for this new coin ? I like to keep my coins in my desktop wallet and to this day I only dealt with Bitcoin and Litecoin, so I know really nothing about these new coins like Etherium, DAO, Dash...

Lite client will have offline wallet storage option and you will be able to run it on any device so it will be much simpler to use for the end-users.

That's a good thing. Maybe you will also have a web wallet as an option for thoes who only have few waves like me. Hard drive wallet is great though, synchronizing however is just a pain in the ass.

^ Lite client with no blockchain download, connecting instantly which you will be able to run on any device in your browser. You will be able to import and use it quickly on different devices also. No blockchain sync needed.

How about running a full node? Are there any benefits in doing so, other than strengthening the network?

Of course, details will be in tech paper. Full node will be sharing its rewards with the lite clients which are leasing their balance to it.

Thanks for the answers mxxxxxx, I'll be looking forward to the white paper! Sounds good for the full nodes. Creating incentives to keep full nodes online is a good idea.

+1 to that.

What about masternodes? Or no need for waves requirements?

No masternodes or minimum requirement to have full node. It will be one big network with incentives where everyone has a chance of getting rewards while having balance above 0. The bigger balance the bigger share from the reward pool you get. So everyone will need to work on their own strategies. For example user with lower balance can choose to lease balance to full node which is validating blocks more often etc.
