Maybe it depends on the coin as well as the amount. I withdrew LTC.
I am waiting since 18 days for 10000 lisk. No response on my support-ticket or direct mailing to polo-nothing. In the future i will only use bittrex and dex.
Yes it was BTC, Stratis and FCT for me a total of about 3.5k dollars worth. Is pretty annoying.

I assume transaction fees would be lowered in the future as BTC price grows and when confirmation times drop (once they have segwit or similar solution in place). Unfortunately, at the moment bitcoins crazy confirmation times means high fees for everyone.

It obviously depends on the tx fee, so there's nothing to worry about , just that your btc will come slower.
Maybe Waves team will implement a possibility to set your fee depending on the priority you want to have when withdrawing.
I see , anyway the waves team responded so instantly to my e-mail and they are looking upon it .

You don't have waves in your wallet, that's why. You need 0.001 to place an order.
I'm first time buyer then how come they can expect me to have waves to place an order?
It is something not correct either they should provide an option to pay the fee in other currencies or should reduce the fee amount from order placement. I didn't understand the logic to ask people to pay the fee in waves when they want to buy waves.
I sent an email to support team and waiting for their reply but if any other guys advice then it will help a lot.

Make sure you don't have a blocker that prevent communication with nodes
