any idea what the price will be like during launch?
will it be like LISK first day IOU traded on Yobit?

I wouldn't count on that. The LISK market is crazy high, and I say this as someone who plunked 0.5 BTC into the ICO. I find it a good rule to assume that a promising project like WAVES will follow the price track of projects like Factom or Synero: trading near the ICO level at start, going nowhere for several months while development builds more value under the hood, followed by it "waking up" and going parabolic.

In other words: I'm assuming that the BTC I throw into WAVES will be "sleeping money" for about a year, as was the case for my buys in Factom and Synero. I suggest you do the same: only throw an amount that you can live without for a year.
You're drawing too many parallels between a couple of recent coins and a coin that hasn't even launched yet. I think a lot depends on the market sentiment when Waves goes live.

You have your point, but parallels is all I've got.

As a side note Lisk's bct thread had 45 pages the day of the ICO. This one has more than 80 and the ico is in 3 days. Waves might be big too ... nobody knows Smiley

Q: What is so special about this coin? Can you explain in simple terms please.

A: Basically we want to move payment systems and crowdfunding to blockchain. There will be USD/EUR/CNY in your wallet and a crowdfunding platform so it’s like a decentralized kickstarter the end-user client is very lite weight, no need to download blockchains, you just install it from Chrome store.

And now, can you explain that in complex words? How do you plan to peg those currencies into a block chain or client and remain it decentralized?
If i want to join a crowdfund with USD, where will my usd be deposited into?

It's easy to write but not so easy to explain, hope you guys have an asnwer

Can someone give a use case scenario from start/finish on how the crowdfunding platform will work?

How will notifications/messaging work within the platform and will issuer be able to communicate with funders?

1. Issuer creates a token and announces the campaign
2. She can do an ICO style crowdsale (fixed price), it might be some kind of dutch auction, there are many choices here. It is quite flexible.
3. Crowdfunding token (asset) trades freely after the initial sale
4. Issuer can send messages to all the funders, or some of them

for real life example of how it might look check NXT AE.  In my opinion it's one of the most usable products in crypto.

Waves looks super interesting. I'm seriously considering investing in the ICO. However, I don't think I will be able to do the first day 20%. That's a huge % too. Cool

Is Waves also meant for the banks? can you tell me a little about banks and the Waves platform, are they going to have like a symbiosis relationship?

I want to invest using an escrow service/middle-man. Is it possible?
Update: This 'coin' looks legit but anyway I would like to invest with an escrow.

crowdfunding funds will be escrowed, 3 great partners, will be announced soon.
Any news on it?
I trust you guys but it's always better to be escrowed.
