With the similarities of WAVES to Ripple, these two systems are fundamentally dissociating at a very basic point. Similarly, both systems make it possible to export fully reserved crypto-prices to brokerage houses. The point where they decompose, Ripple is not exactly decentralized, and this means that the system can be brought to the system at any time by a restriction. On the other hand, WAVES is a platform based on the decentralized PoSconsensus algorithm. To give an example of the concrete consequences of this deal, I do not know how it is now, but the last time I looked, you had to scan your identity photocopy system to become a member of Ripple. Although I personally think this is a breach of privacy in itself, it is actually a step that can be considered reasonable for many people. But what it expresses is great. For example, If Ripple is forced to make a photocopy of identity today, and then tomorrow will be able to impose other things too. This is contrary to the free nature of the crypto money ecosystem. On the other hand, such situations for WAVES can never be discussed; As is clearly stated in our Vision section, WAVES aims to have no restrictions on the block chain.

Why waves assets are difficult to list in large exchanges? Like starta, my starta is stuck, and no decent exchanges list it, the price dooms. Bad waves platform.

Yes, because of your bad investment the platform is bad. Look for the problem yourself, be a little self-critical.

This calls anyway a question I've had for a while: are there waves' tokens listed on any major exchange? If not, is there any technical reason for that?

No technical reason.
Bittrex for example has Incent.

Waves being stuck on this $4~$5 for like half year is worrisome.

Only traders can determine the price.

The tech is real, the development is ongoing.
Right now, Waves-NG is live on testnet, you could join other supporters of Waves to test Waves-NG, instead of worrying about the price.

Join Slack, introduce yourself Smiley

Don't ask what your coin can do for you, ask what you can do for your coin!  Grin

My way of helping this project is by runnning a supporters topic with Turing, answering the community, finding and posting news updates, etc.

Maybe I suck at it, at least I tried Wink

The fact that some projects don't get listed on larger exchanges, doesn't mean the Waves platform is "bad".

Waves is only the token platform for projects to make it possible to build on and to launch from.
It even has a built in decentralized exchange in the Waves Client, where you can trade without the need to send coins to and from an exchange.

It's been hanging around this price range for a bit, so maybe it found a bottom. Everything is so volatile though, so it's hard to say for sure. I do believe that whoever is buying now will make a tidy sum a few months from now.

In the meantime, WAVES tanked another 30% against BTC

Exactly like all (or almost all) the altcoin at the moment... I would probably have had to sell and then buy again at this bottom, but I'm lazy so I'm just waiting the end of this civile war

Thank you to all for explanation about last news.

Russia prohibits cryptocoins. Link below.

and today, Putin tells central bank not to "create unnecessary barriers to cryptocurrencies".
https://news.bitcoin.com/putin-central-bank-unnecessary-barriers-cryptocurrencies/
so what's the direction now there Huh Their odd statements should come to an agreement.

I think this the very good news from russia today. http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/55813
firstly a president of a big country talk about crypto in a positive direction.
secondly there isn't any interest banning btc/other crypto technologies in russia.
We are all seeing a new technology being adopted stepwise, worldwide.
Take a prosecco glass or a pop corn box, and just wait Smiley

but make sure to have some waves in your pockets!

The year 2018 will be the year WAVES! The DEX will dominate the possible trends and I don't see WAVES out of this "wave"! The price of $100 will be the minimum in 5 months! Governments are demanding, centralized exchanges are problems, WAVES will be great! Wink

This will be even more true if, as it seems, waves will get some positive attention from the Russian government. I've read they may be interested in using its token for some administrative purpose, if I understand well. Other countries may follow.

That`s interesting. Do you have any links?

I think $100 is a bit high, but not unrealistic in the near future.

I saw that it fell to the 80K levels, then I did not collect. This time I could not say that the flat figure was psychological base. If I collected from that price, I would have a good profit in only 24 hours. Waves bir dump/pump koini değil normalde Waves is not a dump / pump coin normally but sometimes it can just be nailed on this btcsegwit, ethereummetropolis incident, like every other coin. We couldn't take the opportunity, but I didn't mind it. I regret it as in the title, but it is futile now.

I think Waves is a great project. But I would feel a lot better if they moved the organisation to
Suisse. Whatever you may think about Ether/Buterin it was a smart move by him to set up the foundation
there

I am not so sure it is a good idea. Russia has more interest in waves thriving than Svitzerland. After all, waves is more a made in Russia project than a made is Suisse one. And Russia could benefit from Waves' infrastructure. Switzeland not.
