How do you guys store your waves? Are you comfortable with holding them on the waves platform that needs an internet connection? Do you think it would be more secure to run the waves plaform on a Virtual Machine with linux and to encript its drive with veracrypt?

I was storing it in Chrome app and now desktop app without any problem like many others.

Does anyone knows until when WCT holders will receive Liquid airdrop? Thank you!

I think there will be no more Liquid airdrops, all have been handed out to WCT, Waves and MRT holders.

Hi there.  The reason why i ask this is because if there is a chance your seed got exposed, then you want to move the waves to another waves address right?

Because right now thats what i want to do.  I want to move all my waves to another waves address with a new seed etc.  How do i do this?  I want to transfer all my waves from my waves wallet to another waves address/wallet but use the same waves lite client.

First choose "create a new account" in the client ( https://wavesplatform.com )
This will create a new Waves address and a corresponding pass phrase (seed).

Then login to your old account, send the tokens to the new address.

Send the Waves tokens as the last ones, you'll need them for the fees to send the other tokens first.
When all the tokens have been sent to a new address, you can just forget about the old one.

BACKUP THE SEED, BECAUSE THE SEED IS ALL YOU NEED!

This should be on a tile.

Yes, for the Waves platform, the SEED is the most important thing and you'll need to keep safe.  Don't make too many backups that you leave them lying around everywhere because once someone get's a hand on it, they now own your Waves and every asset token you have in it.  Backup and protect your seed.

I have the waves seed.  So how do i create a new wallets wallet where i get a new seed... then i send the waves to it?  I assume open waves lite client, open new account.  Then i get a new seed.  Then i send the waves from that wallet to the new one?  The other issue is this.  So wouldn't all the other things i have such as waves community token, liquid and all those other things given for having waves and leasing waves be still in the original waves wallet?

Also i would first need to cancel my leasing before i do this i know.  But what about my wavesfullnode and all those things etc?  I mean i would need to send them manually to the new waves wallet?

You could create a new Waves address (and move all your other assets one by one) but I don't think there's need for it.
You can just import your current account (Waves address) with your seed (pass phrase) in the new client.

If you don't have the seed (pass phrase), here is the manual how to export it from the old Chrome wallet.

How to backup your seed:

If your forgot to write it down when you created your account, you can do it afterwards.

Click on the stack of coins (backup button) in the upper right corner of your Waves Lite Client:

A new window should pop-up with your account information.

Click "copy", then start a text editor (like Notepad), paste it into the editor, save it, print it, write it down, but whatever you do: don't lose it!

Hey all got a question.  Can someone tell me how i would transfer my waves to a brand new waves lite client wallet where i would get a brand new seed?  Also is the seed 15 words?

I know that in electrum, you could do it easily such as create new wallet and get a new seed.  Then send btc from old electrum to new electrum.

when you create an wallet you receive a seed, with that seed you can login everywhere.

it's also very important to store you're seed safe and don't give it to other people.

Where can we find a list of all the tokens built on Waves? I'm curious to see how many people are building on it and what types of projects they are creating.

I still have this question.

Here is a list on the wavescommunity page with crowdsales: https://wavescommunity.com/category/crowdsales/?lang=en

Though not all tokens are listed there.

I’ve noticed a lot of people saying that Waves is the next Ethereum. Do you guys really think it has the potential to surpass ETH? Why? I ask because I’ve always thought ETH was a really good investment and a really solid project, but now I am thinking of branching out and investing in Waves.

There's no need to be the next Ethereum or be better than Ethereum, it's important to do things different than Ethereum and attract new startups, companies, customers and create an easy and cheap to use platform.

The Waves platform needs no "gas" for their smart contracts, so it's cheap.
The Waves platform has Waves-NG that scales up to 1000tx/s, so it's fast.
The Waves platform has a wallet with integrated exchange (DEX) for all the tokens, so it's a complete ecosystem.
The Waves platform is helping startups and companies with both ICO's and regulation around it, so it's easy for them to join Waves.

I like that mindset and how you aren't trying to chase after something that's already big, but trying to do things differently to attract new users. That is valuable in a project. Thanks for your reply and clarification.
The project has a great future only to wait. I think in 2019 will be x50 or even x100

Honestly, after everything I've been reading about it and how everyone sees this project, I think you could be right. I think 2018 is going to bring a lot of success for Waves because of the quality of the project, how active the team is, and it having such a big following.

I just read that Waves Platform is partnering with Pantos, which is a open-source research project. That's pretty cool. I'm excited to see how it goes. https://twitter.com/PantosIO/status/972124860431437824

Wavesgo is clearly not distibuted them anymore.

Any idea, feedback?

Where to see open orders? There was a window showing these, but I closed it and can not see anywhere how to get it back.

The alpha was better.

Theres a way to pay dividends by token holders, from what i read the only way is to pay a node to airdrop the funds to asset holders. Theres not a way to token creator making it without the 3rd party involved?

And if not why not cause im trying to make a project there but no way without ability to pay dividends to investors by my side. Or there is any plans to implement it on future.

If im asking a dumb question sorry, but the only info i found is nodes can do a airdrop and nothing else.
