What are some good/best ways of promoting a new gambling site that accepts bitcoins (but not exclusively, fiat as well).

I think where we are here it is good site to promote the gambling, i don't think so sites is here to promote more than this site, i mean it is Bitcoin Forum is best otherwise we can promote the gambling in all bitcoin's sites just like faucets sites we can give it some add and i think it is best way. I also saw in service section in marketplace in bitcoin forum, we can promote gambling giving some adds on it.

Obviously bitcointalk.org is the best source to promote your gambling site.. now it is up to you how you would promote it. there is lots of ways and strategies to promote it. some of them are free, and some are paid.
you can post official threads of the site and update it constantly to attract users(Free)
you can start a signature campaign and hire users to promote your site via theirs signature spaces (paid)
you can start a giveaway which is also a good way to attract more users (paid)
you can buy ad spaces of this forum . ad spaces will be auctioned every week by the forum admin (thymos) (paid)
and lots of more of course.

and lots of ways out of the forums also to promote your gambling site. but theis forum is the best for this.

You can also add positive write ups on Bitcoin related blogs out there. One can ask for that in the service section and ask for anyone who owns a blog and create a good story or an experience about the product that is being promoted. One can pay using Bitcoin for doing this.

IIRC the problems with FortuneJack that are currently flying around come from other sources than their campaign participants.

Unlike with the ad-spots (which are roughly stable in their weekly costs lately), campaigns can come in various forms for quite different budgets.

Lot of the members with their signature are overzealous in their shilling and it detracts. The multiple other issues they are facing are a side to the issue because we addressing ways to promote and many suggested signatures. Just wanted to point out the downside of having signatures.
Think its something FJ endorses though in a round about way because they do not correct the members that state things in glowing regard when they are wrong.
But you know the signature business better than I do,all I understand is the poker side of things.

But you would need to watch for bonus abusers and cheats.
