hi guys
around a  year ago a friend mined some worldcoins for me with his GPU.
after he finished I downloaded the windows wallet which was taking ages to sync. I remember it took more than a day and I stopped, deleted it and sold the coins directly on cryptsy.
Now I have mined some and want to ask if there is a new wallet which syncs faster or I will have to send them to a paper wallet as I want to keep the coins for more than a year.

Wallet takes time to download because of the big blockchain. You can download the wallet from http://www.worldcoinalliance.net/worldcoin-wallets/

Are there any actual plans made for a bagholder?

WorldCoin has IMHO a name with endless potential.

As a bagholder I would say "sit tight" and accumulate more when you can.
The current price is accumulation friendly Smiley

What's the current state of things with WDC?   Is there some place I can get caught up on what's going on with development, etc?    Such a great name for a coin, it seems like it should get more traction than it has lately.

yep, there is a place to catch up - link in my sig Smiley

a lot of alts are having a tough time against BTC at the moment, but WDC is still very much being developed. I'd expect it to come back up eventually.

Woldcoin community, if world coin is still being used would any of you be interested in having it accepted at an online store?

- Jon

Yes, what are your requirements for this? It isn't recommended to solely depend on Worldcoin but it could be possible if regular in promoting on our forums and actually communicating. A lot of our retailers do not and for that reason they do not get as much business potential.

If you would like to talk privately, email [email protected] and our team will get back to you as fast as possible.

Worldcoiners

First off let me say that I love your coin - you guys are doing a remarkable job

I've had a pool for it for quite some time and it's probably my most popular pool.

For the past two months myself and about a dozen other miners have been quietly testing a website I developed for miners who don't like to waste precious hash and get the most out of their mining equipment.

I and my development team have developed a site called Smarterhash that performs live and constant analysis of over 50 popular scrypt coins and gives accurate statistics and income estimates based on a miners hashing power.  Worldcoin is always prominently featured in our stats (keep up the great work please).

SmarterHash is not open to the public, it's a subscription based service because it gives it's member a distinct mining advantage and if everyone had access, no one would have an advantage and furthermore it is not nor will it ever be banner ad supported. It was built by dedicated & serious miners who were very tired of inaccurate and incorrect estimates provided by other sites.

In any event - I thought you folks at Worldcoin would be interested to see a composite chart (of your coin) generated by SmarterHash that shows the relationship between the introduction of blocks in to the block chain, network hash rates and difficulty - SmarterHash members can track and get Alerted on any changes to any of the these statistics and quite a bit more (including expected mining revenues) so that they know when the best times are to get in and get out a coin because many coins have similar behavioral patterns or just simply where is the best place to point your miners and leave them for some extended period of time.

ps: the 620/wdc you see at the top is my personal hash rate and what coin I'm mining (yours of course) so our profitability page can take my hash rate into consideration when calculating  income estimates because the income number would differ if my hash rate had to be added to the existing hash rate for a coin as opposed to already being reflected in the coins reported network hash rate.
