To me, ALtcoin season is when the retails enter the space and almost all these Altcoins pump even if it is a useless token plus scam coins, there are many factors to consider when talking about this, money doesn't come from the tree, it all depends on the monetary policies, if you look at the past cycle you will discover that the bull market is correlated with the easing of monetary policies, if the Central bankers start easing now then there will be free money to drive and pump the market. The market cap has more or less remained the same, it is almost the same money moving from one narrative to another.

From the historical chart and  according to recent observations, the onset of Altcoin season appears to coincide with the stabilization of Bitcoin prices. As Bitcoin's volatility decreases, traders are seemingly turning towards accumulating altcoins, indicating that we may be on the cusp of an Altcoin season.

What is your thoughts? Are you agree with the point?
And we see this thing before, once the price of Bitcoin starts to grow, investors are also accumulating a huge number of altcoins. The idea is that investors usually think about the x1000 price rally to many altcoins before and it possibly happens again during this bull season. If they are checking the history and market movement, they can certainly be making a decision to buy more altcoins rather than buying Bitcoin this time. In fact, we can see that some new projects are pumping already, they are bullish first before the bull season.
I think it's still wise to invest during the bear market but some people are just worried or lazy to wait for a long time so they are waiting for different signs instead. 1000x returns is huge and not many alts can achieve this. I think new alts only has the ability to get it but the chance to find them got even tinier. It is still better to earn minimal returns on the old alts because their risk is only less.

Old alts usually pump during the bull run but some newer alts can pump at any time even in the bear market as long as the public notice them. Altcoin enthusiasts can surely buy more altcoins but I think the majority are still sticking with Bitcoin only.

But if we look at the overall chart, Altcoin prices are not waiting for Bitcoin volatility to decrease. Every time the Bitcoin chart increases, the altcoin chart will follow, even if not as a whole.

Most people commenting here are themselves craving for the altcoin season to start and thus affirming their own bubble. In true sense nobody actually know when it will happen and hence the waiting game continues. Bitcoin in the meantime has performed well through the economics downsides and have given profits to its loyal holders if they sold at 29k USD after buying at 19k USD.

Please do limit your altcoin bags to a bare minimum because their future is never seems to be promising and they only lead to burnout and frustration.
You are probably right that there is basically no perfect time or season for altcoins or even for Bitcoin as to when one should buy, that is the reason why they say it's very difficult to time the market perfectly, and one should grab the opportunity when it is available. Those who didn't buy Bitcoin when it was at $19k will surely regret it, and then those who didn't do it when it was around $22k in the hope that it will drop more, have almost missed the train.

So it's simply better if we somehow make use of the current market instead of waiting patiently for better times as we never know, what if the market starts going right up from this point? We will regret not buying at the current price later on.

I agree many people will take this opportunity to accumulate more altcoins and hope when the bull starts they will get a profit like 10x, especially those altcoins with low marketcap will easily pump and get 10x in a short time.
These altcoins with low marketcap that you feel can easily pump, are also the quickest to dump and go extinct (never rise again), it is more or less a game of luck/hope rather than an opportunity for ROI. Having said that, during every bull run there are people who are lucky and their altcoin pumped really high, giving them a huge ROI, but the most are somewhat unlucky as they have bags of altcoins without any value/utility and nowhere to even sell/dump them; it makes bagholders out of a lot of people.

Having said that, do not accumulate more altcoins than is necessary, and to be on the safe side it is better to wait for the bull run to start before you buy altcoins, if it were Bitcoin one wanted to buy, then any time is acceptable to buy as it has a real utility, longevity and sustainability.

I think the real altcoin season, like the real bitcoin season, will happen only after the bitcoin halving. NOT before. Right now prices are recovering from a prolonged decline and people see these price recoveries as the beginning of something big and grand. This is the market, and it can present unexpected pitfalls for such optimists. Think back to 2019, think back to what happened between July 2019 and March 2020, and before that, people thought the bull season was finally here, too.
Most likely, you are right and I am inclined to a similar point of view that there is no need to rush to make premature conclusions and rejoice that the altcoin season has already begun. As soon as people see a slight increase in the price of cryptocurrencies, they immediately begin to perceive this as the beginning of a bullish trend, but for some reason forget about the notorious volatility. It's like it's the first time this has happened. Everyone wants the growth of cryptocurrencies, but it is too early to expect this due to the lack of fundamental indicators. It remains to wait for the halving and then everything will clear up, but for now, it looks like a short-term thaw.

I agree, the fundamentals indicators are really important. Yes, we are seeing price increases relative to crypto winter 2022, but fundamentally the market has not changed. Economic indicators are still in the bad zone, geopolitical uncertainty, military conflicts continue, Fed rates are going up, various crypto services and banks continue to have big liquidity problems, and the SEC attacks continue. This could be one big grand trap for investors who started buying this year and the bad times aren't over yet, they just took a pause.

If we would base on the current market behavior, I do think we are more of altcoin dominance over Bitcoin. Green marks are all over the market, launchpads, new projects and such which shows that this is a good period for altcoins not only with Bitcoin. In comparison, altcoins are showing more than with Bitcoin. But ofcourse, we should still regard with tendencies or possibilities that a correction may still occur. FUD or not, atleast it would be better to safeguard ourselves with risk management than to be too carried away by what we are seeing. Anything could happen in an instant, this is cryptocurrency we are talking about; a very volatile asset which is still facing issues with regards to adoption. Better safe than sorry, always.

Yes, I agree. Every time we're about to get into the bull run, the first thing that pumps is the altcoins. And that's why everyone is rushing to get the best altcoin they can and those projects they think will bring wealth to them by just simply being lucky. But like what everyone is doing, if you're about to get some altcoins, do not rush on it and take your time by DYOR. Because you'll never know if the one that the others are following will be successful at the beginning and by the time you're enticed to buy it as well, that might be the time that it will start dumping. So, don't be too excited about that and think about every move that you'll do in this market because volatility is an advantage as well as a disappointing thing.

The peak of the altcoin season may soon arrive because some altcoins are trying to penetrate their high prices again.
Besides that, the bitcoin price has not moved too high and it seems it is still in a waiting position.
And while the price of bitcoin looks stable within a range, this might provide an opportunity for altcoins to try to increase.
We can only hope that the peak of the altcoin season can really happen this year, although we can only keep waiting for it to come.

Of course it will be altcoin season after the previous period. This altcoin season has been boosted by bitcoin boom which is good news for those of us waiting for it to happen. Investors will definitely always see this development and then they will use it to gain profits other than bitcoin. Things we should not miss to always take advantage of the opportunities that come to us. There will always be big surprises, and we must always follow them so that we don't miss the ship that is about to sail.

Of course, when the developers of those altcoins have been doing all good these past years and they were already planning to do some updates in the upcoming months, their investors will always stay and also they won't run out of liquidity because the investors see that they are legit and investment material. not only that, when the price of their coins will rise along with bitcoins, they will also gain lots of new investors as well and they will continue to grow. But the rules need to follow because if they stop updating their platforms, they will dramatically lose huge numbers of investors as well.

Well you have a point mate i saw the market is slowly recovering bitcoin is stable at 28k$ and most of the altcoin are rising how much more if btc rise up above 30k$ i think we are about to enter altcoin season if btc touches 30k$ so buy and hold is the strategy before its too late.

Hmm, I think it might be, yes. But I'm still not really sure whether it's a calm before the storm (in a bad way) or if it's really the beginning of the alt season. Because I'm still holding onto my belief that before the bitcoin halving period (which is predicted to happen in 2024–2025), everything is still in sideways mode. However, I agree with your statement that the Altcoin season will follow after the stabilisation of Bitcoin's price or the decrease of its dominance score.

we have seen recently that the price of bitcoin continues to rise and this is very encouraging news for bitcoin and altcoin investors, but if you look at the market, in my opinion the price of altcoins this time has not been too high in price and there has only been a slight increase, but in my opinion over time surely altcoins will gradually continue to rise and of course we will see altcoin prices rise high. with a note that the bitcoin price must be higher than the current price.

I think we should be ready for the altcoin market and now is the time to buy our favorite altcoin which is potentially good for the future.
and now is the right time to buy because it's still cheap, don't buy altcoins after the price has gone up.

no one really know for sure when altcoin season gonna be arriving, it could be this time around, it could be next year, even if there's some sign coming from btc like you just stated it just doesn't guarantee.
whats matter the most is that always accumulate when you sees fit, that way even if you don't get the momentum of altcoin season, you still gonna gain some profits.

It's possible for the following reasons,

- as you have said, bitcoin is somewhat bullish now, although we are still in bear market, but price has been improving in the last 3 months and if this continue it could have a massive effect on altcoin

- and with that, still good to accumulate solid coins in our portfolio, not a fan of meme coins, but if there are investors willing though, so it's your call, but for me solid coins like ETH, BNB and ADA could be a good invested right now.

I would love you to be correct but personally I am not seeing such season.Maybe because I only have just a couple of them under my belt and they are the only ones I believe in long term they will be lasting no matter which season they are going to face. However for these coins which I hold and are ETHW,ETHF,ZIL(my favorite),LTC and RTM and I am not seeing any increase in market cap or in price which should indicate that investors have turned to the altcoins like you say.I would be a very happy person if your prediction is right as I am going to make a lot of money but in life so far I have had only bad luck when it comes to altcoins so I hope this changes soon.
