The idea of getting an integrated circuit device or radio-frequency identification (RFID) transponder embedded into your skin probably seems alien. It’s not without its advocates however; over the years various cryptocurrency enthusiasts have engaged in bio-hacking by embedding a microchip with a bitcoin wallet into their hand. On March 15, journalist Bailey Reutzel recently wrote how she got the “Mark of the Beast” and explained how it would now hold her bitcoin. Reutzel said she was inspired when she first met Martijn Wismeijer, otherwise known as ‘Mr. Bitcoin.’

Installing a Subdermal Bitcoin Wallet Is Only for the Brave
Martijn Wismeijer, aka ‘Mr. Bitcoin’ getting two bitcoin wallets installed in 2014. The NFC Type 2 compliant chipsets contain 880 bytes of data.
In 2014, numerous media outlets reported on Wismeijer’s bitcoin wallets embedded into each of his hands. The two wallets were NFC Type 2 compliant chipsets for cold storage and hot wallet use as well. In 2016, Buzzfeed reporter Charlie Warzel described how he got a bitcoin wallet implanted into his hand in “What the Mark of the Beast taught me about the future of money.”

You guys got many wild ideas here but some suggestions can be doable over a period of time, the main ingredients here are: one, finding the guy that can be the MrBitcoin and two, of course, getting the money or sponsorship. And let us not forget there is a need for someone or a group to coordinate this whole thing as we can never have a body without the head.

As to John McAfee, I do agree that in today's online and social media crazy era, a single person can be a huge influence over a huge number of the population and with the help of the mainstream and crypto-focused media as well as YouTube. We are seeing that now with different popular and rich celebrities. Now speaking of celebrities, I think that is where we should be picking up our MrBitcoin.

Almost all centralized and business-oriented platforms have their own marketing departments overseeing the brand names and the promotions of the products and they can be spending millions of dollars just to convince people to get engaged and buy. As a decentralized platform, we don't have that in Bitcoin.

Copying someone's success just isn't the right thing to do. If MrBeast is successful, that doesn't guarantee the success of a "MrBitcoin". Moreover, copying him would automatically turn into bad reputation. We don't want a "Made in China" replica of him. We need something new, innovative and whoever will have the needed ability, charisma and success will do it sometime in the future.

There are corporations and rich personalities who could sponsor someone in BTC. Even Microsoft accepted (I believe they removed this payment method) BTC at one point so even they might have some. HTC surely does hold Bitcoin as they have placed Blockchain phones on sale. It could happen, but once again, copying a youtuber is a silly idea imo. We need to find the success another way.

I do not know if you are familiar with the MrBeast streamer on Youtube. The guy has over 24 million subscribers and all he does is making crazy videos , where he and his friends are giving money away for free. I reckon if we can get one of our Bitcoin millionaires to start a MrBitcoin channel and instead of giving away cash, he or she gives away bitcoin.  Wink

We could also try to introduce MrBeast to Bitcoin to see if he would be willing to make a Bitcoin video, where he gives away bitcoins for free.  Wink Most of his videos gets millions of views, so this will increase exposure to Bitcoin to people all over the world.

MrBitcoin can fund his channel with the selling of Bitcoin merchandise, like MrBeast is doing at the moment. Well, this and also the advertising income he receives from Youtube.

What do you think?

Example of some of his videos --->  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foLlul8Tl3E or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TflpIllQHY

It's quite boring to see someone transferring bitcoin to others in a video, the way how cash is impacting the quality of the content is really big. There's really a big difference between tangible and wireless. And for me, it is not quite good to see someone just giving money or bitcoins, what I want is for us to work hard to achieve our desire and not being dependent even if they are willing to give.

it's amazing to him because mr beats has 24 million subscriptions on his YouTube channel and the average viewer reaches 20 million and above per month he certainly earns a lot of income from the youtube channel it's natural that mr beats gives his money to people just to make content video, just try it for example there is mrbitcoin which has a youtube channel like mr beast there is a possibility we will get a bitcoin prize every day even with a small amount.

I don't agree that only one person, no matter who he/she is and how great who/she is can help with Bitcoin adoption.
What we need is systematic aproach and global promotion through different chanels, media, expert gatherings, awarness campaigns and similar. One person could be "the face" of some Bitcoin campaign but it can't do everything on its on.

I don't really agree with your statement. One person can become very influential, and one perfect example (positive or negative, take it as you wish) is John McAfee. If you've been closely watching the last year markets and news, you would know how much power of manipulation a person can have in a community. Although he had (and still has) lots of negative rep in the crypto community for the market manipulation of the last year, I believe he had an influence on Bitcoin adoption too.

Now don't jump on me for "praising McAfee" because I'm not doing that. It's just a good example in my opinion for how a single person can have so much influence and change the course of markets with just a few words.

Well I don't think it could be a good idea for the people doing the since they have spent days earning those coins and all and giving that much charity is something you think about like 50 times , therefore it could be hard for people to actually do it ..
Also it cannot be on for always it could just be done as a publicity stunt , for a while ..
Finding people in bitcoins interested to give away theirs for the benefit of the community is a hard task.

Your idea is great, however, it would take a lot of time to get traction. People already know fiat from the beginning, that's why MrBeast got hold of his large fanbase. But it has potential, and to know what people's reaction will be after given and educated to bitcoin would be beneficial to the market, increased awareness of the public and potentially increase the demand. Another problem is who, that one is willing to risk giving bitcoin from his wallet, started uploading in Youtube and may, or may not become a success.

MrBeast isn't just giving away money he might also be earning from sponsored ads and Google Adsense and using part of the money for his giveaways
Surely he earns more money than what he is giving away and to think that he has some friends who is surely getting paid for every videos they do im sure he is not just giving away the money stated on the video but even more for his friends and relatives.
Mrbeats paycheck should be big for him to afford giving such money.

If we do make a marketing campaign or some short of promotion just like what Mr Beast is doing then surely bitcoin will become famous and popular but it does not mean the possibility of adoption will increase. But one thing for sure the impact of these promotional move is not to only increase bitcoins popularity but also to increase bitcoin users. And since we will be giving out bitcoin to the audience using you tube then surely many will watch and comment for the hope that they can be selected to win bitcoin. Surely they will prepare their wallet at hand and they will also tell their friends and so we will expect a hundred or thousand new bitcoin users if we do this kind of stuff.

But MrBeast is sharing what Googe adsense were given out to him. And OP has a good idea. The only question that cross my mind, who could be the MrBitcoin who are willing to give some of his btc? A great idea to spread awareness and for the people to know what bitcoin really is. Satoshi Nakamoto will never do that since he is still not willing to be exposed. Anyone here wants to be MrBitcoib that share his btc? Cheesy

This is one real suggestion though and a good one that can be harnessed because when it comes to increasing the penetration of bitcoin every idea is welcome no matter how little. My concern is if it will make the required impact as that is one thing that frustrate people more especially those who will be committing their resources for such project. 'Free money' tends to attract people who are not serious about the entire project but just interested in the short term returns they are getting and the moment the flow stops, they move on to something else. Alternatively, I think what should be done is crypto service providers should be encouraged to give coupons or discount to used on their platforms rather than cash as this would go a long way in ensuring there is some understanding and get some people keyed in the process.

Bisq is a Bitcoin Fiat Dex. Use responsibly
I doubt the "guys at the top" will like the. They could even compel youtube to indirectly censor the videos when they start getting great views.

I remember seeing videos of popular youtubers talking about Bitcoin back in 2017. They usually focus more on the advantages of Cryptocurrency without talking much about disadvantages. I think the information should be balanced to prevent those who cannot tolerate risk from joining the community.

I was just introduced to mrbeast during shuffling through some videos on youtube when I stumbled upon someone buying a car dealership and selling the cars there for low prices. I mean the highest price for a used car was $16. Shocked
This would bring more people to test out and try what they can do with bitcoin if they are given out a substantial amount of it.
But then so were people who visited crypto twitter accounts saying they were giving away ethereum for free but ended up getting taken for a ride.
So people are skeptical now when anyone says they are giving out something for free. Cause in the end there is usually a catch and they have to end up forking over something in return. Undecided
When it came to those crypto twitter giveaways the recipients always had to send in some ethereum in order to get the entire amount promised to them. But of course this never happened. Embarrassed

I think that you have  a point here we need people with lots of follower to create more awareness of bitcoin for us to their followers and fans, just like we have some musicians and some football team do that now, if we can get Mr. beast as you said to help us create some video about bitcoin and may even do some bitcoin promo also by giving out some rewards, we will surely get adoption from there also, but who is going to sponsor this campaign because everything all depend on money.

If bitcoin was a single man's project, it would have been easier to do so and coordinate it, but as you know that bitcoin is for everyone, so no in individual would want to take up that responsibility for him or herself, and we don’t have Any association. I think that Facebook project that is coming will still be the most eye opener for cryptocurrency because when it comes to Facebook, we are not dealing with millions of fans, but billions of fans.

MrBeast isn't just giving his money for free. he's giving money from sponsorships. so being only a millionaire is not enough to do this. if MrBeast would have been spending his own money. he would got finished already.
and he didn't started giving away money from beginning. he have been creating so many other contents and built his channel and following first. nowdays his most videos are giveaways. but in past he mostly made other videos. and he's probably giving extra money. and keeping his profit.

so if someone want to do something like that in Bitcoin. he must have lots of extra money.

It is not something that is going to happen over night, but 1 good video to start things off, with enough bitcoins being given away, would surely gather a lot of views and possibly a lot of subscriptions on Youtube.

Imagine if a large Bitcoin company like Coinbase sets aside $1 000 000 for a few videos and you start with a $100 000 prize for the recruiting process to find the ideal candidate for MrBitcoin and you get a small panel to decide who this person or persons are going to be... and you bundle all those videos into 1 MrBitcoin channel...  Wink

It is all about advertising and most companies have marketing budgets for advertising already, so why not spend some money on creating our own MrBitcoin.  Wink

Sounds like very good idea
Im totally agree with u

It might be a good idea, at least when it comes to introducing younger generations to BTC and crypto. Most have heard about it, but it seems far away and abstract to them. A good, recognizable icon might increase interest and exposure alike. I mean, it's not like we can count on Satoshi to start a yt channel and start doing bits to market it.
