Op what I want you to understand in this forum is not that the legendary member are not helping the newbies because you will never help who is not ready to learn, they is a proverb in English that say I tree can’t make I forest but there is what I want you to understand about this proverb even though a tree can’t a forest but the tree that is waiting for support before germinating will always remain at it early stage while others will keep growing living him behind, that is just the fact and in life have experience before you jump into a conclusion, lastly i want you to go and read more, have more experience then if the legendary members didn't help you, you can say it loud that there are not helping beginners.

As far as I know, most of the legendary on the board also usually send out some of their smerit to some low rank here; it might not be all the low ranks that are lucky to receive merit before those high ranks can run out of smerit. Also, the local board has just one merit source. If you just rely on most of the high ranks here to be able to rank up, you will even feel reluctant to be more productive on the forum. If you just take your time to explore the forum, understand how things work here, learn more, and contribute positively, then you will be able to earn merit from other high-ranking members in the forum and not just rely on the higher rank on this local board.

I know d angle wey you dey come from and wetin you dey yarn about but no be d way you dey reason am e be before. When we come here, local board no even dey wey you go take know your fellow naija person but tinz don easy now as you sabi your country people for the forum and you go get brotherly guidance and advice from here.
Wetin you need do from your side na him be say make you get d mindset of building yourself independently and no depend on anybody for your growth here, with that, you go reach greater heights and move up ranks faster. From the little I understand here is that no one is obligated to help you in times of merits, at first what we most do as a newbie is to focus more on the learning aspects, one thing I no for sure here is that people are always available to help with any information you need about crypto, I no that everyone started the same way we are but the deference is that they focus on the learning first before any other thing, so I believe that when we are knowledge enough our post will speak for us, so for the main time let's learn.

Because depending on people to lift you without doing anything is like marrying a wife for u and at the same time pregnanting it for you just like what our mate here said.

I agree with the part you mentioned none dependant on any person, is best you put in you efforts in building yourself rather than to waste time depending on another person because in reality you are the so propeller of your journey here in the forum.

Another point I will like to emphasize on it in the area of over focusing on merits, this doesn't make too much sense in the long run, because we have some members here, that instead of focusing on personal development and working to improve their work here, they focus so much on the merit so at the end, they accumulate tons of merits but lack the needed quality to sustain that level, and in no distance time wether they be Hero, Legendary or full member, the still end up not being useful on anything around the forum even though they spend many years in the forum.

So it not how far but how well, and I am glad newbies of this days are beginning to realize this fact that of quality before quantity, so the goal is self development first.

I kno say you we all need merit to rank up but my advice be say no carry am for head like gala if not you fit put yourself for trouble. Just take your time dey read and make positive contributions and di merit go come. Make I take Charles-tim do example, if you look through him first 100 posts wey him make for di forum and him recent posts you go see di wide gap in knowledge. E no just happen by chance, e happen as a result of reading and learning.

According to one of BrainBoss post wey him talk say reputation matter for di forum and na true, I no really need to go into details. You fit build a reputation here, if you wan learn skill or e get person wey you dey look up to as a role model, you fit reach out to di person and I believe di person go dey kind enough to guide you. My advice for you is to not depend on us, depend on quality posts that you will make for you to rank up. Take time to read than post as a beginner and you will understand the forum the better. If you take a look at my merit history, you will see how non Nigerians are the ones that are sening me most merits that I am receiving. Yes it's true. The most difficult task as a beginner is reading. When I was introduced to this platform, I love the platform but to dedicate my time to read was a very big problem. If I read1..2..3 lines am tired. it's like someone was forcing me to do something I don't want. But I ask myself is this how you are going to succeed? People who has been here for long never get tired why must it be you? For one to succeed u must work smart to achieve what you want.
