One of the craziest things that I am still hearing from my friends is that " It is a bubble, and it will burst" It has been more than 10 years and if you still hear such things from tech enthusiasts then you know how much understanding your friends have about Bitcoin. I have now stopped convincing them as I know they won't agree with me. The worst is when someone compares Bitcoin with Altcoin and wants to justify the comparison.

From my side,I have told a friend about bitcoin and he told me that it is hard to get because it is expensive. That there is a new altcoin which he is mining and that in four years time the coins will be more famous than bitcoin and by then he will be very rich that I should join him immediately. I bursted in laugh and he said that he pities for me and I will not be able to afford bitcoin. One of them told me that if I am talking about bitcoin, it means that I have become a scammer and would never trust me again.

My favorite one was when someone told me that Bitcoin is bad for the environment because it uses too much electricity. I asked him how much electricity he thinks the banking system uses, and he had no clue. He just said that Bitcoin is worse because it’s not backed by anything. I laughed so hard that I almost choked on my coffee.

My craziest was some guy who I knew years ago found out I was in crypto. This was maybe in 2021 during the hype. He basically wanted to give me $5000 or $10000 and wanted me to turn it into like $100,000 or $200,000 because he needed to buy a house. I told him it doesn’t work like that. You don’t get rich off bitcoin anymore those days are gone.
He was upset and basically thinks I am being greedy and don’t want him to reap the benefits. Some people are very crazy when it comes to investing their money, they all think it’s easy.

So you explained to him that only traders can do that sort of thing but he thinks you're being greedy? Damn.
Only a professional investor can make even a 100% return in a short time, let alone 20x which is basically only possible with unicorn startup investments.
What I noticed is that people around me also believe in bitcoin, but many of them knows how it is and they do not want to risk their money.
Understandable, given that most of these people probably do not have large savings to risk anyway, maybe they have a house and car to pay off.

What I noticed is that people around me also believe in bitcoin, but many of them knows how it is and they do not want to risk their money. I noticed many among them do not know much about halving and the time bitcoin price can increase or decrease, but they know it is a good investment as it can be a bad investment too if someone invested at the wrong time. To be sincere, I have heard great conversation among my friends about bitcoin. Did someone say investing in Bitcoin is silly?

When my friend is introducing Bitcoin to me, I have no idea what it is, and I am seeing some saying Bitcoin is a scam and some saying it is not a scam, so when he told me I should invest in Bitcoin, I told him I don't have any interest in it because I am scared I don't want to lose my money on it, because some of my friends are saying is a scam, I should not invest any of my money in Bitcoin, later on my friend gave me a link In the sites http://learnmeabitcoin.com, I realized that my friends who believe it's a scam are lying, because they have no understanding what it is. Am very happy with my friend that introduce me to Bitcoin and the forum.

Things I always hear people say when it comes to internet scams is , someone introduced me to bitcoin and promised to double my money by the end of the month but before you know it they lose everything after the investment....which is crazy, and when I think about it, I always wonder how these guys allow this to happen because buying bitcoin doesn't need another person to broker such a deal and later on lose your investment..
Rule of thumb I'd always that if you are going into unfamiliar territory always do your research to expect the unexpected!!

After spending hours watching the market, making trades, and building up your Bitcoin, you might want to hang out with friends or go to gatherings. While some of them know about your activities, others might not. You might have had conversations or something might come up about Bitcoin.

I think we all have heard things that made us to roll our eyes, things like “bitcoin is just like fiat”, “altcoins are just as good as bitcoin and will replace it”, “altcoins are better than bitcoin because ‘add dumb reason for it’”, “icos, ieos, nfts or meme coins are a better investment than bitcoin” and more.Did any crazy things come up during these talks?

At the end you will learn to tune out those claims and move on, otherwise you will have to spend your limited time and energy on correcting them and it is simply not worth it.

silly conversations i see even people that have been in the community for 6+ years:

"bitcoin payments happen in seconds and can handle million transactions a second"
"bitcoin relies on middlemen to pass payments along a route"
"bitcoin has more then 8 decimals"
"to use bitcoin you need to choose a partner"
to me these people are talking about other networks pretending to be bitcoin. which then makes other newbies have a bad experience when they see bitcoin is not like how these first idiots explain it to them
