From my understanding what's been stolen from wallets is similar to the offering to the God. This can't be got back, as it belongs to the respective church or the other temple authority. The funds might get used in some other way for other charities through the authority. This will not be got back to the owner.

this is a usual case though, but no solution has been found to help. there's no robinhood yet, so everyone just has to be careful with whom they do their business dealings with

For solution to the existing issues that has to do with reverse transactions will be an end to the lingering scams around the world of cryptocurrency. They have said the only solution to this is; creating a layer on Bitcoin core to act as an escrow, but sincerely speaking this will be done in the nearest future, until then, play safe and act smart.

Never heard and experienced like this before through my 4 years in bitcoin industry and countless times I got scammed no one return, they stole it for a reason bro they are greedy they won't return even a penny to us. It's impossible that a scammer would ever give back the bitcoin he scammed.

I have been hacked many times by a friend of mine in facebook. He targeted 5 websites that I am using and he took almost 200$ from me. Luckily I had only few amounts of bitcoin at store on my wallets since I always convert it to cash to be used in daily expenses. After that event I placed 2fa on almost all of my websites that I joined. As of now there are zero cases of me being hacked but I was scammed many times due to greed of earning huge profit. So far none of that btc have returned. Its hopeless.

It will never happen a scammer will return what they stolen from a user. I once a victim of a scam that someone stole my btc those days that I am new to crypto. This should be taken seriously to have keep safe our wallet to avoid got scam our money. Many people become a victim of stolen bitcoins and it did not ever return.
It's true, it will become a miracle if a scammer/hacker will ever returned the money that they stole to its user. There is no way that they will return it. That's why every individual in the crypto community should be careful and alway activate any 2fa or verification to have a high security of our own wallets.

This is why is called a scam , because they don't return anything , why would they return? I had some coins on cryptsy back in the day when it was hacked or whatever happened with the exchange but the scammers never return anything or BigVern because most of the users still believe it was an intern job planned by him. We all must be careful with our funds , where to deposit , where to trade , where to hold and so on because scammers never return anything they stole.

Scammers will scam and will never return the scammed items back to the owners, no, they won't take the rusk of be caught. Bitcoin transactions cannot be reverse as such when anybody is be scam it is gone forever. Many people fell for scam because of greed and if that is the case, they are at fault in the first place. For us to avoid be scam, we must adhere to the principles of security, and not only that, defense mechanism should be practice online. Maybe in the future they may add a layer to act as an escrow to bitcoin transactions.

A scammer who stole your bitcoin and then returned it to you afterwards? So what's the point of stealing it? Maybe it's possible if the one he scammed, caught him. His identity and others so he have no choice but to return it. Though I haven't experienced nor encountered it yet... It's possible but with really low chance of happening, unless he realized that what he's doing is wrong.

if my bitcoin is stolen, I certainly can't return it, it's better if I just pray, in the past I have also been cheated by scammers on various hyip sites or through websites or other events paid for with bitcoin and scammers offer me a big fee after I working with fatigue, no pay and my capital is also lost taken by fraudsters or irresponsible scammers.

Not a single satoshi had ever returned i deposited 0.01 btc to a doubler site when i was new to bitcoin and i managed to saved 0.01 through faucets i thought that was a legit but in the they run away my 0.01 although the price of that time was 2 dollars so, i didn't care at all, well there is nothing i can do about that since all bitcoin transactions are irreversible so, there's no way to recover it.

Only once to a scam exchange,I got entered into a clone site because at that time I am on my new laptop so bookmarks are not available yet so I just tried using google but ended up into the clone site, when I deposited money it immediately got redirected to another bitcoin address,I thought it was normal in an exchange but later only realized that I got scammed but the amount is not that much big,it was only about $100.

lol no.
and the worst part is that i have never been hacked and it wasn't a hacker that stole my money, it was an exchange called Bittrex and they stole thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin and some altcoins from me and millions from a lot of other users like me and they never paid any of us back. they simply stole it and got away with it.

I had similar experience with that exchange, some of my coins are frozen there I can't withdraw them, they are asking to provide doc and activate my account before I can have the possibility to withdraw those coins. I told them I don't wanna use their exchange anymore I just want my money back and they refused. Bittrex is really a bad exchange to trade, I am glad that binance take over the market.

I recovered most of the coins I invested in a mining contract in 2011 because I was persistent, almost everyone else who left money with that person didn't get anything, or only a small percentage back.

In the history of bitcointalk there have been a few scammers to return or start returning some of the stolen or defruaded money after a while, I think the most recent one is TradeFortress.

I have been scammed a few times with cryptocurrencies. Many of my friends also have similar experience. And in none of the cases, the money was returned. And I don't know a single incidence in which the scammers returned the stolen money.

Really? This is the first time I have heard that the scammers returned the money they stole, most of the time they just run instantly without a trace

It is not possible to return money from scammer or hacker. My wallet was hacked in 2018 and lost my lifetime income. I am trying to move my coin but i cannot do this because the hacker is stronger than me.So i forget this and try to rebuild my life so i suggest to forget this and start to new life.
Its better to move on than to let your past bring you down. We cant help once your wallet was hacked, just put your wallet to safety the next time and use that experience to avoid being scammed again. Its impossible to make it back you will just waste your time, better to use your time to move forward.

I have been scammed a few times with cryptocurrencies. Many of my friends also have similar experience. And in none of the cases, the money was returned. And I don't know a single incidence in which the scammers returned the stolen money. They don't need to fear anyone. Cryptocurrency offers them anonymity to a certain extent and the advantage is that they can do all these hacking from thousands of miles away. In less than 0.01% of the cases, the law enforcement authorities will be able to get hold of them.

Thats the sad part Sad
It our responsibility to secure our money in the first place, if we ever get scammed its our own fauly. I got scammed for more than 5 times, and I know its my fault. Its not that hard to reverse the payments we did, we just don't have the capability to do it. no reverse option when it comes to btc transactions unlike in banks.

While I have not seen any scammer return bitcoins to the victim, I have actually read an article where a thief stole money from an old lady and returned it to her.
The old lady was withdrawing money from an ATM and the thief was waiting outside the ATM just when the lady got the money the thief barged in stole the money from her.
Just when he snatched the money, he looked in the ATM to find out the low balance of lady and then he returned the money to the lady left.
He was caught by the cops though since the incident was captured on CCTV.
