Bitcoin Gold is now Trial Bitcoin Frok. Bitcoin was Gold created by Jack Liao, CEO of Hong Kong Based he is a mining hardware producer and it was first announce in August. Bitcoin Gold is very specifically it is dose not make a claim to be the real bitcoin in this online market.
I wont be surprised if Jack Liao and the other developers listed on their official site will be the first to dump their BCG for BTC.
The fact remains that this was not necessary, but it is good they have decided to help us increase our number of bitcoins, so I really don't have anything against them. They can keep it coming if they want. Even 2x will also experience the same fate.
I believe Bitcoin gold will be a waste of time but that won't stop me from leaving my BtC in an exchange to acquire free bitcoin gold after the hardfork. It's free money, why would anyone want to reject it?

It seems to me that thankless job to predict the fate of the coins which have not. No one knows how many will be desperate Amateurs altcoins that will put their money in Bitcoin gold. It will not be easy to make another coin compete with bitcoin, because of course they will have their own market, we just need to follow it, what we need to look for is an opportunity to profit from each type of coin. So I do not think to worry about any new coins.
Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash are not serious threats for Bitcoin and I don't believe they will have any significant effect on the long term on the echo-system. However, forks have the advantage of forcing open debates around serious issues.
BCH prices will vary and fluctuate independently or separately from BTC prices. For example, BTC 1.0 could be worth $ 2500 and BCH 1.0 is worth $ 500.

Guys, if you are interested in my opinion, then I think that bitcoin gold, it's just a distraction maneuver, a fog. In fact, someone large just wants to get rid of a lot of bitcoin. Be carefull.

I thought that it will be a waste of time. Buying altcoins with low BTC prices seems to me a better approach.
I believe BTC gold will have it's ideas, but in the end it will be another copy of the original BTC, therefore I think it won't sustain for long. If it isnt adopted enough it will have the fate of BTC cash, that once was around 700$ and now is slowly decreasing, maybe because the whales that launched it stopped supplying this coins. But this is all predictions, and we will know for sure only after the fork happens!
Stop talking about this shitcoin, the real fork is 22nd November. BTG will be a flop.
I wish they will be successful. Imo it's great opportunity to reduce mining complexity of popular altcoins so overall mining profitability should grow up.

I don't know about the coin yet, but the team seems less congruent than on the other fork which makes me feel like it could be a big miss. I hope I'm wrong since I think it's good to have different coins and options competing freely in the market but so far, I'm not so excited about this fork.
I personally think it will be just another useless coin.
