If we look at the data on coinmarketcap it will appear about 10 to 30 new listed coins, this makes the current number of cryptocurrencies more than 15k, but I'm sure only 10% can last up to a year due to intense competition so only projects that have good financial strength who can survive.
In my opinion, only 5% or less can last a year, I once bought a new listed coin and initially pumped it up to hundreds of percent, but after a month the coin dropped and when I sold it again on a pancake swap it took a slippage of up to 40%, there are 2 losses, namely the price dropped when I bought it (more than 50%) and there was a large slippage of up to 40% so I lost almost 70% in a month, and this is what makes us have to be wary of new projects.
