Hi everyone! It would be great if everyone can say a word on what altcoins are you guys planing to invest or already invested in with the hope of selling in to the bull market next year. Personally my method has been investing in new coins with strong VC backings and low float like ZRO, SUI etc also I like SOLCHAT due to its use case.

I also have confidence that the bullrun will come in the coming year, and have several altcoins so I have hope by investing in potential altcoins such as Ton coin and solana by showing increasing growth, I also think that new altcoins will have increased growth even though there are risks in them.

There are as many risks with new ones as with the old ones, but due to the sheer volume and power behind them, they won't shake as much, and we know for a fact that Solana won't die soon, as well as TON. That can't be said about new coins at all Grin
I hope for your investment to prosper.

Its hard to think TON will surpass SOLANA in marketcap but anything is possible in the crypto world.

TON seems to be good, but the price isnt ideal right now to get in.

It may - drop - a bit in the future up to $4 according to Architec.ton, despite increased network activity. They describe it because of selling pressure on the market and bearish indicators. But only time will tell.

wow thats some story and a lesson to learn from. So you only invested in bitcoin since 2018 I guess?

According to my profile here, I joined BitCoinTalk (though back then it was known as bitcoin.org) earlier than that:

January 31, 2011, 02:30:40 AM

I don't think I ever bought bitcoin, I only mined it and sold it, until altcoins came along so that sometimes I sold an alt for bitcoin (in other words bought bitcoin with an alt) in the process of market-making for the alt.

Cannot recall if bitcoin.org was my initial discovery of bitcoin or if I stumbled upon it somewhere else first, at the time I was searching for free open source code that could be helpful in building a trading layer (trade X number of thing Y at place Z for A number of thing B at place C) to get working first before later presumably adding a transport baron layer to add on actually being able to relocate the things from place to place.

Bitcoin seemed a potential way to bypass my Digitalis D'ydii Cluster's assumption that all currencies need be local, only actual cargo being transported from planet to planet thus only needing one currency field in the starships showing balance of the local currency, remainder left as a 'tip' to the starport upon leaving with actual cargo to another starsystem.

It does seem likely though that google found for me bitcoin.org first or very early in that searching process.

Altcoins are not something you can hold on to forever neither Bitcoin is, the wise thing is to take your profits away and invest in physical assets till next bear market so that you can bring your cash back to buy bitcoin or altcoins at a cheap rate. The purspose of this thread is to have a look what altcoins our experienced members prefer.

Yikes! Be careful about "physical assets" too though!

I had the idea in the 2017-2018 market peak that if I got run over by a bus my family would likely not benefit from my crypto holdings because some fast-talking "expert" would convince them to let him or her at my computers to "retrieve" my holdings and oops guess what, "sorry he must've gotten hacked or something, don't see anything there..."

Thus I figured how else to dispose of over $50k per month than buy up fixer-uppers I could then sink many thousands per month into to "fix up".

A bank assured me that as soon as tax dept paperwork showed I had indeed made hundreds of thousands there would be NO problem getting a mortgage, so rather than let it slip through my hands I early in 2018 bough a nice fixer-upper mansion using cash, figuring no need to wait for mortage to buy it, use the mortgage instead once accountant was done and income filed to pay whatever income tax the tax dept paperwork would show alongside its showing how much I had made.

Well!

Never trust old-style banks is apparently totally correct advice.

In short, they had lied.

They changed their story, all of a sudden it is not the amount I earned they want to see, it is magically (fraudulently, surely, ultimately?) now that I already paid the taxes on the earnings that they want to see.

I mean it does make sense to wonder if someone is just pretending they made a bunch, if they aren't investing into the pretense by paying taxes on the pretended income, sure.

But...

To lie about it?

To pretend the paperwork shewing the income would suffice then later change that story?

Sick buggers. Absolutely something wrong about that. They could have just said up front that income only counts after the taxes on it have been paid.

So, no financing for paying the income tax, even given five houses available to hold as collateral, even using "private financing" (mega huge costs to those by the way).

So fer goshsakes if gonna try vesting in "real" stuff be damn careful!

(And never trust old style banks maybe too?)

I’m holding Ethereum, Solana are a large number of less well known meme coins & tokens. I will try to time the market well & dump then all for more Bitcoin & take some fiat out. I am mostly Bitcoin only but I do play with a very small allocation of my portfolio in Altcoims but I don’t really believe in any of them. I just use them to flip into more Bitcoin & cash.
I was going to say that why there is no Bitcoin and I was like, oh well, you might be an altcoin lover but when I look at the title, it says altcoins only and then we are also on the altcoin boards. I can see that you also have meme coins but why pick the less known ones?

Though I think the reason is that the known ones can collapse easily. Less known ones may not collapse but they might also give minimal rewards only, however as long as it is consistent then why not right? That's great if you also have a Bitcoin with you. It means that you are not a literal altcoin lover and what is much greater is the fact that you will put your altcoins profit into Bitcoin.

Not all altcoins are bad in quality or a scam, so it is also not wrong to leave some of them or even treat them as a long-term investment together with your Bitcoins and it was only the alts that you are not sure of, or the meme coins are the ones that you must sell and replace with the other potential one, since they don't usually last long. If you don't believe in any of the altcoins, then there is no point on investing on them even just a little. You better invest all of your money in Bitcoin because that can give you more confidence and profits.

How sure are you that we will be seeing bull runs next year, or is it written anywhere that bull runs will be happening by 2025? I know all of us are expecting a bull run to happen, but we shouldn’t just be too confident about when the bull run will be happening. I don’t really advise people to invest in altcoins because the risk is just too much, it’s better to just invest in bitcoin and just hold, but if anyone is investing in altcoins, then it’s just better to invest in strong altcoins that have been in the market for a long time.

Investing in new altcoins is more risky than the ones that have been in the market for a long time, so if I will recommend, then it’s better to invest in ETH, BNB, SOL, and other strong altcoins that have performed well over some period.
No one can predict about anything in crypto world as mostly things are working on hype or personal research so better never go with others views just do your own search and then invest into this match because we all know this is never been easy to recovery if you are having early loses about how things will be bullish in next year surely it's difficult to give perfect prediction anything can happen.

Investing in new coins is just like gamble this can go either way while having some good search and checking team and analysis can help things sorted out better no doubt going into solid coins and tokens always give good chance of staying stable and having some profit from them but still peoples love to stay with bitcoin because they feel comfortable and having more trust than other cryptos on bitcoin.

I have little belief that some people may have invested in some projects, but the truth about me is that I am not a fan of altcoins. So, I don't think I will invest in any altcoin projects currently or against next year. In fact, who told you that the bull run for altcoins is coming next year? I would not like to discourage you from investing in alternatives, but what is certain is that it involves a lot of risk. Investing in altcoins, especially new projects, just feels like gambling with your money. So, I would advise you that if you want to invest, try to invest only a small amount of money that, even if you lose, will not affect you significantly.

Many of these projects you seeing in the crypto market now, doing well, might only be pumping for a short period; many are just pump-and-dump tokens. I would advise you not to depend on altcoin projects as they may fail you later. The little amount of money you may have to invest in altcoins, divide it into three parts. Invest one part in altcoins and invest the rest in Bitcoin as a backup for your crypto investments. That way, even if you lose in altcoins, you may have your Bitcoin investment growing."

No one has told me that a bull run will happen next year but when you look at financial markets, they work in cycles and history tends to rhyme.

Altcoins are things that people invest thinking that they can do better than bitcoin and some of them really do better than bitcoin which is why they invest into them. You are right that most of them do not do that well, and some of them even go down to zero and crash, so you are right to protect your money against these falls and just invest purely into bitcoin without anything.

Obviously, you are not going to end up with making some profit if you keep thinking that the only thing you can make money from is alts, because bitcoin could make it very well too, so we shouldn't be worried about drops or alts and keep at bitcoin if we want less risks. However, the reason why people think we will go up next year is because it's a year after halving and we peak during those times.

Plans must be well prepared to face the upcoming bull, it is very good if many share what you hold, this can be material for those who are looking for references for those who need it, for this time I don't save too much, I just try to hold new meme coins from hunting results and a handful of top 5 altcoins and TON

Didn't hear about SOLCHAT, but I hold my TON, ETH, and SOL for the time being, I think they all will deliver during the highest point of the next Bull cycle, whenever it may be Grin
Accumulating them would be beneficial for everybody, though I don't think they will jump as high as the relatively new alts you mentioned.
What? If anything I think the ones mentioned are the ones we should expect to rise for sure once the entire crypto industry go to a more positive hike. We do not know if these new coins or tokens will be of any good and it is so rare to see projects reach at least a dollar let alone more. Maybe you can earn from these new cheap projects since you can accumulate more but I would not expect a lot of them to reach high prices.

I usually just depend on airdrops if I want to hold some new tokens instead of buying a lot and then when it does not reach the price, I expect it to, be left with a whole lot of useless tokens.

Bitcoin obviously is the one that I hold the most of. However after that, ETH, ADA, AVAX, SOL, LTC and just a tiny bit of DOT, but like 30-40 dollars I think nothing big at all, it just happened to stay there in my exchange wallet and I didn't want to disturb it, felt like it didn't really worth that much attention so I am not going to bother touching that. Not that DOT will grow to be huge, I know it won't be good, but just it doesn't worth it.

Bitcoin is the one that I care about the most, it is literally the best investment I can think of, if I have to sell every other coin and just hold bitcoin then I would do that without regret, but I know others could have big increases with some hyped news, so I am holding them just in case as well.

So you're not invested in altcoins at all?
Invest as in "buy and hold", no I have never done that.
The only thing I have ever done with altcoins has been trading them. All short term because I try to avoid the risks involved with the pump and dump market.

This is what I usually do with altcoins to I trade them since its hard to trust those asset since we are not really so sure if they are reliable and won't do any rug pull schemes. I only do that buy and hold Bitcoin since its proven and tested that whatever happen to the market this coin will remain running strong. Some got hype for the idea that those altcoins will also go the same and hit big figures the same with bitcoin, but to many things needed to watch or consider before it happen since there's huge chance that those altcoins will go scam first before it reach to same like bitcoin level.

So much better if they do nice decision and sell those altcoin when they are gaining profits. Waiting posses huge risk since if they play cool around with it there's instances that they might lose their hard earned money with it.
Yeah. Another reason why I have used this strategy in my trades is to maximize profitability.

You can go to your favorite exchange or one of those coin listing websites like coinmarketcap and sort their list based on 24 hour change %. Do that every day for a certain period of time and you will notice that each day a different shitcoin is pumped. Today it is X pumping 300%, tomorrow it will be Y pumping 300% and the next day will be Z pumping 300%. If you buy and bag hold X you will miss on 600% additional profit and if X gets dumped you lose money on that as well.
So it is best to ride the 300% pump of X today, then dump it and move to Y the next day to ride that 300% pump and do the same with Z and end up making 900% profit!

Of course I should clarify that 300% is just an example. Not all pumps are that big and you won't be able to earn the maximum profit from each pump and you may lose money in one of the steps but that's pretty much the strategy that is superior to bag holding and hoping for a rise in long run, in my opinion.

Thats a good trading strategy but chasing green candles can be risky

Just interested, what's a short term for you, regarding the alts? Let's say, ETH or SOL.
