Trying to name your coins will never end with a good result because we are not going to get anything major with any of these, we are going to end up with some troubles and we should be careful about it as well. I believe we are going to get some good results with our own choices if we stop caring about others. In this case, asking on a forum what people are investing into isn't a smart choice and we should be trying to figure out what to invest into.

I personally still prefer ETH even though everyone started to dislike it, but there is a reason why it is the second biggest coin and the volume is still high, so there must be something they are doing right in order to stay at the top of altcoin list and I am not going to give up just yet.

I think it is better we go for the current big project in the market and hold them if we intend investing for the bull market. Buying random new projects can be very risky because we don't even know if the price could fall at anytime making users to lose money especially when it going to take longer time before the price could recover. Their are so many new projects in the market and more are still getting launched every single days. It is good we need to think and do some research before buying any new coins in the market. Investing with any research to know about the project might not worth it. The arm is to make money smartly without risking too much.

by taking a big project it is highly recommended to be considered more profitable, in investing and considering something to choose many factors, all of which need to be supported by basic technology, which needs to be known at least by studying it further, that's what needs to be known.

Hi everyone! It would be great if everyone can say a word on what altcoins are you guys planing to invest or already invested in with the hope of selling in to the bull market next year. Personally my method has been investing in new coins with strong VC backings and low float like ZRO, SUI etc also I like SOLCHAT due to its use case.

Very interesting investment plan, you collect lots of coins in portfolios such as ZRO, SUI, etc. I don't know about SOLCHAT whether this coin is suitable for long-term or short-term investment. Collecting lots of altcoins as an investment for the future when the altcoin price rises next year, if in reality the altcoin is not as expected and reverses direction, what should be done.

I don't collect many coins in my portfolio but choose some of the top altcoins as the safest and least risky investments such as ETH, BNB to invest in at the moment.

This coin and that token and the other project. All here gives what they believe in, which they should because why would you defend something you do not believe in, but they do it all based on their personal hopes, there is no guarantee on any of them, maybe except bitcoin but that is not an altcoin. Do not look at people and make your decision on their opinions, go research yourself and find what you want to do and that way you will do better.

I personally never invested even a cent of my money into anything just because someone said it's good project. I always do my own research on everything I put my money into, and I make money based on that. To be fair I did alright so far, and never felt the need to change this opinion.

I agree that it is very important to do your own research before investing, but the problem is beginners may lack all that knowledge to do complete research. Threads like this helps everyone to share their opinions with experienced people and that's a big opportunity for any beginner as I think

Well there is only some of the alt coins that I do hodl in my portfolio. There is alot of them we must be careful when we choose those projects and tokens to invest in.
For me it is the top coins in marketcap that I do hodl. I have ethereum, bnb, solana, and xrp. And then I also do have some doge but that is only cause I want to hodl some meme coin.
But I wish I did hodl the token called tao. That token is up 14 percent in only the last 24 hours. Maybe it is a pump and dump but I did see it and makes me wonder.
Mostly well experienced members of this forum understand how to manage things so as you already mentioned you have few altcoins which is good decision because we have few coins or tokens which have good potential and can give some good profit but still things have never been on level because anytime we can face uncertainty and things can be gone into wrong way as well.

Coins which are having stability surely good for keeping long time as we have at the top of list Ethereum, BNB, LTC and now Solana are mine favourite as well because I am having good confidence about them, but this has never been investment suggestion for anyone because do your own search before doing anything about investment.

Bitcoin is one of the best for investment but keep one thing in mind in strong bearish trend this can also be gone on huge negativity because trading and investment in altcoins are always risky and never been easy to manage.

Bag holding any altcoin is the worst thing anybody can do specially when you are talking about a long term bag holding for a supposedly "bull market" that may never come. Because during the very LONG period of time that you are bag holding, that altcoin will continue to dump slowly but surely.

Just look at any altcoin in long run. From etheruem that is the biggest and most popular shitcoin and was once worth 0.15BTC and now is only worth a small fraction of that all the way to the most unknown shitcoin. They all get dumped.

You should only get into the altcoin market when the pumps begin and sell to get out before the dumps begin.
You're absolutely right about the risks of bag holding, especially with many altcoins slowly losing value. However, labeling all altcoins, including Ethereum, as 'shitcoins' misses the bigger picture. Ethereum, for instance, has built a robust ecosystem with real-world applications in DeFi, NFTs, and smart contracts. While timing the market is crucial, some altcoins with strong fundamentals and continuous innovation may offer long-term value beyond just speculative trading. It’s more about evaluating the project’s use case and development activity rather than simply relying on price action.

Yeah, SOLCHAT is unknown to me too, so I would rather choose bigger, reliable alts, though the coins that OP mentioned are the ones with big potential ahead of them, maybe even bigger than the old alts, though the risks attached to them would be higher too.

Investing in Crypto is always risky. BTC went to 15K once in the bear market and who can gurantee that it will not happen again or something worse? risk is always present whether its BTC or Alts imo

I also have confidence that the bullrun will come in the coming year, and have several altcoins so I have hope by investing in potential altcoins such as Ton coin and solana by showing increasing growth, I also think that new altcoins will have increased growth even though there are risks in them.

There are as many risks with new ones as with the old ones, but due to the sheer volume and power behind them, they won't shake as much, and we know for a fact that Solana won't die soon, as well as TON. That can't be said about new coins at all Grin
I hope for your investment to prosper.

Its hard to think TON will surpass SOLANA in marketcap but anything is possible in the crypto world.

TON seems to be good, but the price isnt ideal right now to get in.

It may - drop - a bit in the future up to $4 according to Architec.ton, despite increased network activity. They describe it because of selling pressure on the market and bearish indicators. But only time will tell.

wow thats some story and a lesson to learn from. So you only invested in bitcoin since 2018 I guess?

According to my profile here, I joined BitCoinTalk (though back then it was known as bitcoin.org) earlier than that:

January 31, 2011, 02:30:40 AM

I don't think I ever bought bitcoin, I only mined it and sold it, until altcoins came along so that sometimes I sold an alt for bitcoin (in other words bought bitcoin with an alt) in the process of market-making for the alt.

Cannot recall if bitcoin.org was my initial discovery of bitcoin or if I stumbled upon it somewhere else first, at the time I was searching for free open source code that could be helpful in building a trading layer (trade X number of thing Y at place Z for A number of thing B at place C) to get working first before later presumably adding a transport baron layer to add on actually being able to relocate the things from place to place.

Bitcoin seemed a potential way to bypass my Digitalis D'ydii Cluster's assumption that all currencies need be local, only actual cargo being transported from planet to planet thus only needing one currency field in the starships showing balance of the local currency, remainder left as a 'tip' to the starport upon leaving with actual cargo to another starsystem.

It does seem likely though that google found for me bitcoin.org first or very early in that searching process.

Altcoins are not something you can hold on to forever neither Bitcoin is, the wise thing is to take your profits away and invest in physical assets till next bear market so that you can bring your cash back to buy bitcoin or altcoins at a cheap rate. The purspose of this thread is to have a look what altcoins our experienced members prefer.

Yikes! Be careful about "physical assets" too though!

I had the idea in the 2017-2018 market peak that if I got run over by a bus my family would likely not benefit from my crypto holdings because some fast-talking "expert" would convince them to let him or her at my computers to "retrieve" my holdings and oops guess what, "sorry he must've gotten hacked or something, don't see anything there..."

Thus I figured how else to dispose of over $50k per month than buy up fixer-uppers I could then sink many thousands per month into to "fix up".

A bank assured me that as soon as tax dept paperwork showed I had indeed made hundreds of thousands there would be NO problem getting a mortgage, so rather than let it slip through my hands I early in 2018 bough a nice fixer-upper mansion using cash, figuring no need to wait for mortage to buy it, use the mortgage instead once accountant was done and income filed to pay whatever income tax the tax dept paperwork would show alongside its showing how much I had made.

Well!

Never trust old-style banks is apparently totally correct advice.

In short, they had lied.

They changed their story, all of a sudden it is not the amount I earned they want to see, it is magically (fraudulently, surely, ultimately?) now that I already paid the taxes on the earnings that they want to see.

I mean it does make sense to wonder if someone is just pretending they made a bunch, if they aren't investing into the pretense by paying taxes on the pretended income, sure.

But...

To lie about it?

To pretend the paperwork shewing the income would suffice then later change that story?

Sick buggers. Absolutely something wrong about that. They could have just said up front that income only counts after the taxes on it have been paid.

So, no financing for paying the income tax, even given five houses available to hold as collateral, even using "private financing" (mega huge costs to those by the way).

So fer goshsakes if gonna try vesting in "real" stuff be damn careful!

(And never trust old style banks maybe too?)

I’m holding Ethereum, Solana are a large number of less well known meme coins & tokens. I will try to time the market well & dump then all for more Bitcoin & take some fiat out. I am mostly Bitcoin only but I do play with a very small allocation of my portfolio in Altcoims but I don’t really believe in any of them. I just use them to flip into more Bitcoin & cash.
I was going to say that why there is no Bitcoin and I was like, oh well, you might be an altcoin lover but when I look at the title, it says altcoins only and then we are also on the altcoin boards. I can see that you also have meme coins but why pick the less known ones?

Though I think the reason is that the known ones can collapse easily. Less known ones may not collapse but they might also give minimal rewards only, however as long as it is consistent then why not right? That's great if you also have a Bitcoin with you. It means that you are not a literal altcoin lover and what is much greater is the fact that you will put your altcoins profit into Bitcoin.

Not all altcoins are bad in quality or a scam, so it is also not wrong to leave some of them or even treat them as a long-term investment together with your Bitcoins and it was only the alts that you are not sure of, or the meme coins are the ones that you must sell and replace with the other potential one, since they don't usually last long. If you don't believe in any of the altcoins, then there is no point on investing on them even just a little. You better invest all of your money in Bitcoin because that can give you more confidence and profits.
