I recently got on with Notcoin and then Dogs, although I have been holding on to some BNB and TON for sometime now in the hope that before or by the end of this year it's going to rain bulls. I missed the last circle for personal reasons and don't want to miss this time around but then I am still careful to invest in with some low sum of funds as I really get skeptic with altcoins but truth remains that they have high returns in profit if you get it right.

TON seems to famous among the members of this community
I mean you should know why it's so, TON at this period is one of the mainstream altcoins that's enjoying a growing community generally not just in the forum and  whose network chain is basically what almost all the tap to earn airdrop projects on telegram as associated with. So the coin appear to have a potential in the future hence the fame it enjoying. Obviously the coin value has been doing good even before all of these telegram mini app tapping this year 2024.

Hi everyone! It would be great if everyone can say a word on what altcoins are you guys planing to invest or already invested in with the hope of selling in to the bull market next year.

I have invested in Ethereum and Solana few months ago, because I have strong confidence on them that they will bring good results when the bullish season take place  next season and there is nothing will change my mind to trade them now until their price increase higher. I can seen you are taking a big risk on altcoins investment OP, because investing your funds on new altcoins can make investors to experience what will make them to conclude that new altcoins and old altcoins are the same which is not true because it is every difficult for old altcoins to disappoint their investors. I don't think, I will invest another funds on altcoins, because I know that Ethereum and Solana will definitely give me what I want when the price hit higher in the market.

Sounds good, but it has dumped hard in price. From having an ATH of $19.32 in March to a falling price of $1.08 currently. How do we explain its tremendous fall in price for those who bought Solchat at a high price? They should hold to Solchat without knowing whether Solchat would skyrocket back to its previous high prices.

Well, altcoin investment is a risky investment that someone would lose some, and gain some. That's more reason not to go into it without thinking about investing with spare money. Take note, not every altcoin invested in would give desirable profits.

need to be considered before starting to dive into the market, such as Solchat when it first appeared, I always followed the market price and entered it, but the price decline that continued to decline in Solchat was very burdensome, indeed in altcoins it is risky but sometimes offers quite high profits for a while.

You can hold some BNB, ETH, Dogecoin, Solana, Matic and Ton. I am not holding any of them but  just Bitcoin. The alt coin i have in my portfolio are shitcoins which I can not recommend to anyone.

I’m holding Ethereum, Solana are a large number of less well known meme coins & tokens. I will try to time the market well & dump then all for more Bitcoin & take some fiat out. I am mostly Bitcoin only but I do play with a very small allocation of my portfolio in Altcoims but I don’t really believe in any of them. I just use them to flip into more Bitcoin & cash.

Most people should prefer to keep it a secret, they won't tell you all the altcoins they are holding.
Well, I myself are holding the top altcoins as my main investment in altcoins (Ethereum, BNB coin, Cardano, and Polygon). However, I also have few random altcoins. I believe the best altcoin for holding now is Ethereum. It still doesn't reach its ATH even if it is still the most favorite altcoin for investment. Some experts predicted the price can be around $10k in the next altcoin season. So, there is still a hope of huge profits.

Personally my method has been investing in new coins with strong VC backings and low float like ZRO, SUI etc also I like SOLCHAT due to its use case.
Is SUI new altcoin?
As far as I know, SUI was created in 2023. This altcoin is already more than a year in the market. Not sure if it is still a new altcoin.
I'm not familiar with SOLCHAT, I'm also not really sure with its fundamental. But you probably view it from another side, it is actually your right to invest in any crypto coin.

Yes it is but the point is it hasn't gone through a proper bull market yet.

Bag holding any altcoin is the worst thing anybody can do specially when you are talking about a long term bag holding for a supposedly "bull market" that may never come. Because during the very LONG period of time that you are bag holding, that altcoin will continue to dump slowly but surely.

Just look at any altcoin in long run. From etheruem that is the biggest and most popular shitcoin and was once worth 0.15BTC and now is only worth a small fraction of that all the way to the most unknown shitcoin. They all get dumped.

You should only get into the altcoin market when the pumps begin and sell to get out before the dumps begin.

Short sighted maybe, though if you are into popping into existence a new coin (or token even maybe, since nowadays a lot of casual passers-by seem to conflate and/or confuse the terms) any time you feel like it that seems natural.

If you are into a coin - maybe even its main supporter in the literal sense that almost the entire column of buy offers for it are your offers - yet are not the original [whatever: team, group, author, developer, etc] thus never yet owned every single one of the minted coins, then hey the more it dumps the closer you are to having "bought back" all those "IOUs". So actually tokens might be better than coins in some ways, since usually with coins if you own even over 51% you have yourself become potentially a threat.

If other parties can or did "mint" your money (IOUs) that can make them harder to "redeem" aka "buy back", which maybe it would be very helpful to think of that also being "aka buy" in the sense that if when you consider buying any of them you think to yourself by buying them you are become at the least a dealer of them thus should plan to be able to give back your own end-customers you sell it to a decent percentage "return policy"; or an "issuer" of them in the sense that if you eventually do sell them you are issuing them back "into the wild" increasing the chance who-ever bought them from you turns out to be a "dumper" who will trash the buy-sides thus the value of any you still hold.

Surely one's objective on getting involved in any implementation of IOUs / coins / tokens ought to be to make them more valuable than they were when you found them; and if you do issue them yourself that ought to be particularly true.

When getting into the big alts you get closer and closer, as you get bigger and bigger, to "might as well just go play the Forex markets" since unless you are a multibillionaire of a scale enough to singlehandedly unbalance the pound sterling as some guy did some decades ago you probably cannot really do a whole lot yourself to help ensure the currency you are working with will if you have anything to say about it be going up or sure as heck trying to.

The whether you have anything to say about it part though is where the bigger they get the less you are probably going to be able to say about it, oops clearly in that common phrase say should be read as do, I suppose...

-MarkM-

EDIT oops I forgot that going into this post I intended to also comment on the quote's second part, where I noticed the point is they went down relative to bitcoin regardless of the fact that fiat went down, as fiat does and even is often designed to, against darn near everything thus is no basis for a comparison at all.

What an interesting investment strategy you mentioned! Altcoins with venture capital (VC) support and low float are often considered to have large upside potential. ZRO, SUI, and SOLCHAT are examples of altcoins that do have their own appeal, especially if they have a solid use case. Coins with VC backing usually have a strong network and access to resources for further development, which can provide more confidence in the long term. However, the risks in investing in altcoins must still be considered, especially due to the volatility of the crypto market. For anyone else, are there any altcoins that have also caught your attention, perhaps with great potential in the coming year?

Personally, I think ETH and BNB are pretty good altcoins to hold at the moment. I think the increase will also be very high when the bull market occurs, especially if many altcoins rise above their ATH, then it is very profitable for people who hold popular coins. Although the price is quite high, the risk is not that big. However, until now I am still considering altcoins with cheaper prices.

I consider ETH, TON, and SOL, and I think it all will come together in the future, up until 2025 we should just wait, and then there should be a change in the situation to the green Grin
That is my view of it, of course, and the profits made from the big, top alts would be smaller from the newer, ones, but it would be much more stable for the investment made.

ZRO and SUI, I am seeing its community and it hasn't pumped a lot. But with solchat, I don't know that and looks like it has fallen already from $19 and now it's $1.
SOLCHAT is an app designed for communication between wallets on Solana
Okay, it's like a messaging app but in a web3 environment. I'll take a look at that since I am not in depth with the sol network and the apps that are built there, it might be an interesting thing to look at. But, I won't be getting into the token. There's a likelihood that once the trend with the telegram apps, if it's possible to build some apps on that platform then it could be the next go-to of most of the developers just to keep up with the trend and continue it when it's no longer working with the telegram because of some issues that scares users there. Actually, the criminals are the only ones scare of it.
