It is surprising that OP didn't mention about BNB. It has the most fascinating story I have ever seen in crypto currency. The growth and the possibilities are making it more powerful which ultimately getting stronger by it's position itself. Hype can be done by any projects and it's quite natural to me. So take a look on the market you will see the new projects
Indeed, new projects always appear every week and maybe even every day it takes time and accurate and precise analysis, but to know which one is the best, it's like shooting an arrow sometimes on target sometimes it misses but what is definitely the best investment for now is Bitcoin. or Ethereum or ADA, and all three are guaranteed to be profitable for investors, which is definitely better to put money on proven projects like the three I mentioned above
I will like to add BNB in that list too and that will make it top 4 coins to go for. Bitcoin was and will always be the best choice which it has proved again and again. Even it these coin go down momentarily we need not to worry because they have the ability to up with time for sure.

Listing with major or small exchanges that's all of depend on the fund. A promising project will go list in low liquidity exchange when the team can't afford listing fee for the big exchanges. But i don’t think a bad project will go in long run just depend with good exchange. 
I agree with you that when there are a lot of problems in the economy people pay more attention to cryptocurrency. A lot of people use cryptocurrency for investment purposes.
More precisely, people who use cryptocurrencies are for the purpose of better income through the profits they can get, because the purpose of investing is just a step to find big profits in a certain period of time. 
I think what we need to pay attention to when a new project is released is the developer and the project Team, the goal is to see their quality, is it trustworthy or not. honestly, this are not the real deal but you can give it a trial. you can try and hold shibu . i think the price will still go up just like DOGECOIN. other top tokens you need to consider holding and investing in exchange tokens like BNB, OKEX, HUOBI, and some defi tokens cake, bake, compound, Aave and so other top quality coins. i will never advice to invest in all these tokens.
Did you try to mention shiba? Like you mention, its probably like Dogecoin which rising and fall and then stuck at this time, be careful. Another token u mentions just better if compared to shiba.

SOL is impressive.But sadly, I didn't have a glimpse of it when it's still at its lowest because I don't see its potential when its value is that little.
