Damn it looks awesome Shocked

Have you considered making any cheaper knives engraved with Bitcoin symbols and messages ?
I'd probably buy one at around 0.1 BTC, if it wasn't a collector's edition.

Correct. I ship it using United States Postal Service.

This way it costs only about $25 USD to ship this heavy knife internationally. Using DHL/FEDEX/UPS it costs as much as the knife itself just to ship it! I'd have to double the price.
Ok, but the parcel would still be insured and online tracking available?

He used USPS for mine. (Germany)
USPS? So it was delivered by the postman and not by a parcel service?

Yes, this parcel was delivered by the postman.
I have had other USPS parcels, that were delivered by DHL.

Received mine today and it is beautyful! Thank you very much.
I was surprised, that it passed the german customs without paying tax.
I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
Guys, only a few left and a very fair price. Get it as long you can!

One question, how do I take proper care of it? I wont use it. Do I have to oil it or anything?

I believe you  don't want to sheath it for long term storage

Correct. Or, if you do you want to store it in the sheath, I would place the blade within a thin plastic bag or something (or cellophane) and then in the sheath for long-term storage. This is because leather contains moisture which can (over time) contact the blade, and the blade is high carbon steel.

I store it in an vitrine. Not in the sheath. And I don't use it. So, I do not have to oil it or something?

This is really a beautiful knife! Which shipping company do you use for sales to
Europe? DHL?

Took only 9 days to get here.

I didn't see the United Kingdom on your list of shipping countries, surely a mistake?

Wow, these are really cool, what works of art!

Do you ever work with iron from a meteorite?  I've always wanted a meteoritic iron damascus knife/sword.

Hi Mikestang, I've never had a knife made with iron from a meteorite but it could be done if it was cleaned of all impurities and you had a solid, pure piece of iron.

However, this sounds more like a 35+ btc job, instead of 0.35 btc.  Smiley

Well, 35 might be a bit high, but yes, definitly put the numbers on the left of the decimal point.

Maybe someday, if I ever mine a block... Smiley

Gorgeous knife, thanks man! It came with the sheath and that's about it, sheath and the knife itself. Bad lighting and bad camera don't do it justice is a solid heavy knife, and looking to get a stand/display for it ASAP.
