Bitcoin is no merchants here and its mose use for investment. The most use of bitcoin is using an investment which can gain profit easily. Yes the good thing is we can use bitcoin in paying bills online and buying things online.

an individual wouldn't be buying btc if it don't have any use but it all depend to an individual though. as trader and investor wanna be btc is for profit. but for someone who wants to load themselves with altcoins, they buy btc for altcoin investment. there are merchants who also accepts btc and clients who doesn't wanna use paypal or privacy, btc is their solution.

Are there many retailers that accept bitcoin? I haven't come across it yet. People on this thread have said you can use it to buy and sell almost anything; that's true, as long as the person/company on the other end accepts it. Many don't.

All of you mention above are not the main fucntion of bitcoin.
The main activity you can do in bitcoin is trading i think. And also you do long term investment.

For me the common use of bitcoin is that bitcoin is the way of fast payment online it really help transaction in many investors or money maker here. And the other is tgat bitcoin is their source of income too.

Obviously because we cannot have any transactions with the use of bitcoin offline. We need to use bitcoin only for online transaction such as buying load, sending money to the bank, paying electricity bills, water bills, and any bills that can be done online are the common uses of bitcoin. We never use bitcoin for offline transaction because we cannot literally hold bitcoin like the fiat money.

I can not use it for the things you just listed below. I only use it for trading because there are not any transactions in my country that accept it.

All your examples are possible with bitcoins, But it happens that most of us are using bitcoins to earn more money. I use bitcoins to sustain my daily needs because it is easier to work at home rather than working at the corporate world.

I think the most common uses of BTC is that you own it and no one does like paypal which is own by a company and they can do what ever they want on your account to them, just like my experience on paypal, I've lost 400pesos for just transferring my money to my bank account due for some reasons, while it bitcoin you just have to take risk in trading and transactions.

Bitcoin is most popular payment method , u can buy anything with bitcoin if their website supported bitcoin payment processor.
Other important ? maybe u should trying invest on ICO using BTC , and trading some altcoin using BTC.
Bitcoin is popular now , anything can buy by bitcoin if supported/accepted bitcoin on their site , just find a trusted site and buy something.

You can order at home with bitcoins you can rent hotel rooms and book flight tickets those are the ones i know about and have tried but i think there will be more because it is still unknown otherwise you would be able to pay everywhere with bitcoins.

Bitcoin is a digital currency so obviously, its main fucntion is a currency but at this moment, it is only limited to people who are living on countries where it is legal and supported as a currency. Anither function is an asset or investment where investors and users are getting huge profit as its market value is getting mire expensive as time is passing by.

According to me the most common use now available to us is to buy products, goods from an online shopping websites or from the product or goods company itself, as many big names are now accepting bitcoins as the payment mode for their goods and services.
Bitcoin can also be used for paying for bills like electricity, house bills and other resources. And for paying fees of schools, colleges or for institutions. And the most common things is to convert it into another country's currency,. Without giving any transaction fees.
Other than all, bitcoin is an investment in its own self as it's prices fluctuates a lot. So chances if price high in future results in doubling or tripled of the amount invest in bitcoin.
