I am new to trading process. I have heard from people coinbase is an exchange and wallet where I can start trading but I am still not clear how this works. Someone. Suggest me how to choose the exchange and advise me of the some exchange names.
If me personally, first i will look that exchange already work for long time or not, how was coin that listed in there, volume trading. Maybe old site can be pick because they might be already face any attack that came to them and can fix it.
Sometimes, I think using trading volume as selection method is quite a wrong approach because some of them end up hyping the volume of trade on their site though not all exchanges does that, it is also necessary not to completely rely on volume because some of them register shitcoins a lot and most of these big exchanges are where you find them.

But, I agree with you when it comes to years of experience and it is also good to know the exchange support system because the newbie will definitely have lots of issue using the exchange and make many mistakes, it would be more frustrating if there is no support system put in place to assist.

If you want to be safe in the exchange, you must check the coinmarketcap and look for the top 10 exchange for sure those exchange has a good volume in the market, and most traders there can play well over that platform.

Binance is the best platform at this time with high volume so that it can be a bit of an advantage for you if you can manage everything in trading with a very large selection of coins, there are some who are very qualified, learn for yourself like looking at other websites because they provide more articles about trading globally, I do not recommend using an unclear exchange because it is very risky for the assets owned, I personally use Binance and coinbase, the level of security must be considered the most important.

Though coinbase is a good exchange, you shall consider the overall security on choosing an exchange. Here is the link where you can find guides on how to choose the right exchange for you.

Anyway, fees is also important. The lower the fees does an exchange has, the better. I've been using binance and coinbase from some quite now.

I believe that exchanges "history" plays a big part. Most of the exchanges are quite brand new when considering financial world. There are banks that have been around for decades even centuries that exist today so when you consider binance as the best exchange you are listing an exchange that is what? 2 years old ? Not even ? So, always look for the history and check how long they have existed and try to find the oldest reliable one with least complaints and issues.

Coinbase and poloniex for example is not loved by many people but they have been around for a long time without big issues, binance is a great one but it is new however even though it is new it has been through a lot of troubles that they bared themselves without giving their customers any issues. History of an exchange makes up how great it is today.

The first thing you should look for in any exchange is the security of the exchange, do a research to see the review of those who have used the exchange already, so that you can know their experience and see if it's worth taking the risk or not.

You should also check if an exchange is user friendly before thinking of trading with them so that you can get a good user feel when ever you are making use of the platform.
Just pick an exchange what most of the people were using when you have no idea about what to pick,in my opinion Binance will be the best option for you.

But trading can be risky job and can lose your capital so learn the basics of trading and the start doing it.

I purely look for safety, as I don’t think there is any else you could talk with exchange aside from security and safety. I don’t like pure exchanges much at all. Although, I myself use Coinbase but overall I prefer broker.

I have done Forex trading for years and years now, and there only I have started doing Crypto trading. I have recently joined up on FXLinked, where they have over 150 instruments to select from which include Cryptos too, so it’s something that’s pretty cool and much easier as compare to routine way of exchange.

It is best that you only use Binance and coinbase, but you should read the TOS of these two exchanges and if your country is not on the list of restricted countries. In other words, you should see if your country is allowed to trade in these exchanges. why I recommended these 2 exchanges?

1-) because you know who are the owners of these 2 exchanges and if you do not know, then you can search on google

2-) because so far they are more reliable than other exchanges

I guess you can choose the exchange from reading on many threads here and I think you only need to try on the recommended by many members.

I don't suggest to try with the new exchange because you don't know more about them. It is better to choose the reputable exchanges while you can learn what is inside the exchange and make yourself familiar with the trading process.

Once you are familiar, then you can move to the other exchanges and feel the differences. You can then choose which exchange that fits with yourself, and I am sure that in the end, you will have a favorite exchange.

the first and the most important thing to consider is trustworthiness! for example check the history of the exchange and see different feedbacks to find out whether they have scammed anyone before and if they did that means they will do it again so stay away from such exchanges. a good source for that is bitcointalk, use the search function on top right corner of the webpage and also look for their announcement topic.

when you find a trustworthy exchange they will automatically also have higher volume (liquidity) list lots of coins, have better security and better options,...

You may get going with coinbase as they are highly reputed (but not sure about their liquidity and availability of wide range of altcoins and tokens) if you are able to clear KYC. I like to suggest you to go for bittrex where I am trading right now still you need to clear KYC. Binance might be another good exchange with almost all the tokens and coins are available with them and they may allow you to withdraw up to 2 BTC daily without KYC.

advise me of the some exchange names.
Please look into service announcement board for active bitcointalk supporting exchanges.
Check exchanges board for issues and latest opinion by our community.
You may get all the exchanges list from coinmarketcap. Check here : https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/reported

Choose an exchange with high volume, secured (there should have 2fa security), and easy to use. I recommend you to use only Binance at start since it's user friendly including newbie traders. Their indicators and tools aren't complicated which is good when you're just starting trading.

If you're not planning to short trade - you're just gonna buy and hold for a long period, check out this site: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com
>fill out the country field
>fill out the payment method
>click "read review" for more information about the chosen exchange. It also has tutorials which is sth you've asked. But I will still advice you to search for other reviews from diff sites.

Just a heads up! Don't keep your coins in an exchange for too long since you don't hold the keys there (ownership basically).
Check this for wallets: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

And I wasn't 100% sure but if you're just planning to trade crypto <-> crypto, might as well stay away from those who deals with fiat as they are stricter when it comes to kyc.

First of all this should be in the Trading Discussion not in Bitcoin Discussions. Choosing the right exchange site for you depends on what coin or token you plan to buy because even if you are using the #1 exchange site as per Coinmarketcap, it will be useless if the coin or token you plan to buy is not listed.

This is very correct. First, he needs to know what coins he wants to trade. But then again, there are a lot of threads in the trading discussion what he's looking for. So better go ahead in that section and read for himself. No need to create a new one.

Coinbase is the wallet where you can buy and sell through coinbase directly --> https://www.coinbase.com/

While in coinbase pro, this is where trading happens with other users --> https://pro.coinbase.com/

Liquidity is my priority on looking for some exchanges and of course the reviews on it. Coinbase is a good wallet/exchange you can start small on that. Do learn more about trading, this is not just about good exchanges, you have to improve your skill on trading of course.

I will assume you are pointing to bitcoin here.

First thing you need to search is if that exchanges will give you an easy and less hassle way of buying bitcoins since obviously you need bitcoins to start doing trades as part of your study about how trades works. Lots of big names so you are the one who have to decide which one as we might have different experience using them.

Might also try to search for a local crypto exchange first as surely it was way more accessible as it will support some of your payment system in your country. If you have difficult finding some you can seek an assistance at your local section or local social crypto groups.
