The most trusted wallets are those not requiring you to trust any third party IMO, Multibit, Armory, Bitcoin QT, You just install, sync and you are good to go. I don't find any advantage in trusting any online site with your bitcoins and even something like blockchain can experience downtimes.

Online wallets are obviously not recommended for storing any big amount of money or bitcoins but they are good just for transactions you do everyday or weekly, or maybe you would like to use cold wallet for daily transactions too.

I'd say the best wallets to go ahead and use would have to be BitGo and BlockChain.info I would go ahead and use 2FA for both of them to make sure that you don't get hacked and lose it all, as that's always a possibility.

For the ultimate security and peace of mind you need to buy a hardware wallet which is malware proof and it cannot be hacked or stolen from you if you know how to keep it safe. I think anyone does as this hardware wallets are in size some like USB-s and some like external hard drives.

Here are a few threads regarding hardware wallets and their benefits

Ledger Nano
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/now-available-btchip-ledger-hw1-bitcoin-hardware-wallet-in-a-usb-smartcard-134999

Trezor

These 2 are the most well known wallets. There are others as well like Keepkey but overall any single one of them does what you are asking and let the user sleep with peace of mind that his coins are secure from hacking attempts and thieves.

i think blockchain most trusted wallet so far, because You have full access to the private key. You can backup and store in the safest place, and don't worry lost your bitcoin.

Never risk a lot of money ever by storing it to somewhere on the internet though how safe they are or looks to be, but they still always has the chance to get hacked or your coins to get stolen by a hacker or someone, so it is always better to just keep them with you in your hardware to feel safer.

yes i know but op asking bitcoin wallet and site, if doesn't have many bitcoins, i think online wallet is enough.
Blockchain is a good enough site for starters but if you're going to be starting to have huge amounts of coins, online wallets will not really serve the of online  wallet's purpose like security anymore. Maybe desktop wallet or an offline wallet would be a better choice.
Good point, some users rely too heavily on these online services.

is the bitcoin is really safe? where i can put my money for example blockchain wallet never scam me? or CEX.IO  is the bitcoin safe 100%? like the bank mean if i deposit in any company money will stay for ever or maybe i the company close any my money gone in this wallet? and where is the trusted list for this company? Kindly answer me about CEX.IO ... BLOCKCHAIN ?? ETC
Bitcoin is money, so it will never be safe. There would be those who want to steal it, probably by scamming or other ways.

I just use blockchain online wallet so far, and it has never scam me.

I remember I also ever used coinbase, and everything were okay while I used it.

Online wallet is not safe always because Just take you searching the wallet site Sometimes it may reach the scam site.
So try to check offline and desktop wallet like electrum or core bitcoin to have your wallet in safe status.

By blockchain, are you referring to blockchain.info?
If so, please enlighten me about it since I haven't used it at all. I've only been introduced to Xapo from the first time I knew about bitcoin. Any specific advantage of blockchain over Xapo?

Well only Xapo owns the private keys, so you dont own the Bitcoins you have there, only some Xapo IOU. If nothing wrong happens, you can use your Xapo IOU and withdraw the Bitcoin. But the moment something goes wrong, you end up with just Xapo IOU, unable to withdraw the Bitcoin. Look at similar Bitfinex example what might happen at any time.

blockchain.info dont know the private keys in your wallet so its less risky to have Bitcoins there. But make sure you print out the recovery words for your wallet, because if you lose your login info, blockchain.info cannot recover your Bitcoins, because they dont know your private keys. So your expected to secure your login info/recovery words.

Xapo do not give you the private key and hence it is just like an exchange. If the site goes dead, all your coins are gone. So its better to use desktop wallet as then the funds will be in your control.

I would personally skip out on Cex.io, but blockchain.info, Coinbase, Xapo, other similar wallets and so are typically quite safe and free from most issues. I used to use Coinbase (and I was pleased with their service) but I opted to change to Blockchain.info because there had been less controversies with them in the past. Xapo offers a Bitcoin debit card too, so if you're interested in that sort of thing then you'd be looking at Xapo as a high choice at least.

Meaning in your answer CEX.IO is not safe? Well to that information you gave. So far those you mentioned I don't have quite familiar into it except in blockchain but the rest are not. I think I will try Xapo to sign to find out the good thing they can to their client.

cex.io is market can be trusted and there are many review from another users on this forum about it, and about Blockchain wallet it is safe too. But don't put all of bitcoins in one wallet or on markets, because there are risk on there. You can use online wallet and offline wallet ( is like vanitygen and another wallets)
