Hopefully, you are wrong and altcoins will hold. Bitcoin is now trading around the 17 k mark which I believe to be a base. It seems to be holding and an accummulation phase as started. If this is true, we will see the altcoins holding as well
In general, not all of the altcoins will hold. There will be out in the market when we go back to the bull run and that's for sure, and for now, we're already seeing the impact of the bear market.
And this is why, for those that have a set of altcoins that are uncommon, should start thinking to cut loss and transfer the value of it into some other better altcoins if that's what you prefer.
But much better if you go to choose bitcoin because it's the best and proven choice that you'll never regret.
In fact, I think it would be better to transfer it to bitcoin to be more certain.
In general, with the current conditions, for almost a year now, there have actually been a lot of altcoins that have died, and I'm actually quite grateful to have been spared from that.
Altcoins are very risky rather than incurring losses to be transferred to other altcoins. I think it would be better if now I immediately save it in bitcoin if I really feel that the altcoin I have chosen now is not going well.
Lots of altcoins been added on the market almost everyday or every now and then but same as you said that lots had also died and pass away which means that you should really be that careful
on choosing which project you should really be dealing off with. You cant just throw up some funds into that random behavior and would rather be worth on putting funds or investment with Bitcoin.
In speaking with altcoin holding or into my bags then most of them are shit, their prices are almost close to zero. What im doing with those things? Just let those things die completely,
if ever there are ones who do make out some pumps then its just understandable that you do sell out.

Almost all altcoins are now making new all time low, Gala games for example look like it's going to 0.015$ after holding 0.025$ for months, I have halted my buys right now because I believe that BTC will go lower, what are you plans?
You can include Bitcoin and ETH on the chart as well to figure out that not only altcoins had suffered declines but also potential coins.
But guess what I see in the picture OP, these coins are almost no market value from the eye of the leading investors which is why they suffered the most when the market is in a bearing state. You can never expect them to see it will turn green unless the market had recovered but doubtful if they can make it due to a lack of support from the community.

We can't say for sure if the declining altcoin market will persist into 2023 even though is obvious we are already a few before to 2023 will this huge decrease in crypto market price continue till the next Bitcoin halves before the market will pick?
The reason is that, Bitcoin price controls the direction the altcoin market will face, at the moment everything looks bad and the market chart is on the red light with most coins losing up to 20% to 30% of their price already.

You need to a better understanding with how the market plays, the volatility nature of crypto will be a friend or a worse nightmare with your investment, without the right sets of skills fear will push you into panic and instead of keeping your bag the chance of selling it all will take place, in this business, you really need to be precise with your decision making.

Though there are also chances that you need to decide with your bag holds, if you feel or think that there's nothing to wait better to sell it while the value is still considerable.

It's better to cut your losses if you really believe that there's nothing to wait and the team behind already abandon the project.

Many are concerned about how the positions of other coins might fare when institutions like FTX collapses within a day. If you think from that point of view, there are various negative discussions about Binance as well. The entire cryptomarket seems to be in an uncomfortable position due to these issues in recent times. Where the price of Bitcoin is at a low price. It is relatively very simple that the position of altcoins will be worsen. There is still no positive outlook on how cryptocurrency will run in the coming year.

And if you do DCA for bitcoin, I think you can have a much better chance of making a profit because the benefits of BTC will be obvious when the bull market comes. While altcoins will not increase all of them and only certain altcoins will be able to increase. This makes us very careful if we want to do DCA in altcoins because an increase in altcoins may only occur in some altcoins like last year.

But investing in altcoins is indeed a very tempting thing to do because some of the altcoins can indeed increase and this is why many people are still speculating when choosing their altcoins. And they choose altcoins in the top position because, according to them, they will provide more opportunities to increase than the coins in the bottom position.
People are worried about bitcoin, and that is a big mistake. If they knew that bitcoin could go up and down a lot, and sometimes when it is down it may look like it's there for a long term, but in reality we just repeat the past.

You may not remember or maybe you will but others may not, in 2018 we didn't finish the year at 3.5k and hit the bottom early on, it was a season where 2018 is the year where the most altcoins had their previous ATH, so it started as bull, but then it lowered, and reached 6-7k range for bitcoin, it was only in November we had bitcoin cash vs bitcoin sv fight where the price dropped to 3.5k, and same timing as FTX and Binance deals, not a shocker. It just repeats itself, nothing more.

For this reason, we have suggested buying bitcoins when market conditions are declining today because the potential for bitcoin to increase is very high. If he still wants to choose altcoins and focus on altcoins, we must be extra careful in choosing the coins. Not all altcoins will increase. Even altcoins are currently in the top positions. And if bitcoin declines further, they will have to be very patient to wait for a price reversal.
Investing into bitcoin is always far better, this is about if you already have some alts, but if I had some cash and no coins then I would pick bitcoin over anything else that part is true.

If we are talking about the aftermath, like I already own alts and they are down, then we can discuss how buying more to do DCA could work or you just accept the loss and move on, because in that situation there is no selling those and getting BTC considering it would not make sense to accept the loss by selling, it's better to wait it out and see how it would work. I know that it's going to end up with a bit of a problem in the long run but it will also not be something that may result the same way for all coins.

I don't have too many altcoins, I'm just holding them, and buying sometimes. I'm 100% sure about my portfolio so I'm not gonna sell anything.
The point of selling is to make a profit and use that to reinvest. If you don't do that, then you are the only one at loss. Altcoins should be kept on a short to mid term outlook, but not long term. In that manner you are more likely to profit from the initial gains and then continue to trade at a good momentum.

Bitcoin should be kept for the long term view. It can also be sold whenever it reaches a high. This cycling is important in this sector.

Carrying my bag from airport to airport, no seriously. Why would I sell at loss?

Besides that I have good altcoins in my bag so I have no worries. I'm sure they will go up again in next bull run.
Depending on what kind of altcoins you are holding the strategy that you need to adopt will have to change, if you are holding good altcoins as you claim then you really do not have any reason to sell them now as if you are willing to hold for the long term not only you will recover your money but you will even make profits, however for someone holding bad altcoins then it is critical that they sell as soon as possible as even if they will lose money by selling now they will lose even more money if they keep holding.
Many people don't understand the importance of choosing good or potential altcoins for investment, mostly considering the price and looking for the cheapest one. And that is why they easily get disturbed and get panic when seeing price decline as these coins suffered the most dump.
Because if we are smart investors, we'd never choose projects that give us losses but, of course, those projects that will assure us some profit. But this is also impossible if we never learn how to hold and how to become patient.

It's starting to look like we are going to see a huge dump in the coming weeks into 2023, altcoins are in trouble as big venture capitals are selling off their holdings, and another one today is DCG
Almost all altcoins are now making new all time low, Gala games for example look like it's going to 0.015$ after holding 0.025$ for months, I have halted my buys right now because I believe that BTC will go lower, what are you plans?

Until the price of bitcoin turns to a bullish trend, it is worth refraining from buying altcoins. In this case, you will not buy altcoins at the lowest price, but you will not look at how the price of the altcoins you bought loses its cost. Such a scheme will be more profitable than constant price averaging.

The cryptocurrency market is gradually fluctuating to a point that, the real bear market has been showing up to a point that good to load up your bag with Alt-coin, while waiting for the next Bull Run.
Yes coins are very low right now so it's a good time to hold altcoins are undervalued as the price of bitcoin falls. Altcoins will rise again as the price of bitcoin rises the investment strategy requires you to identify more stable assets that will be long term. Assets like bitcoin and ethereum show long term value growth and can be considered a safe investment in this regard.

I think this happens at the end of each year. We always see a red market every time we approach the turn of the year. I think some ventures did sell most of their assets and some big whales also spent assets for year-end holidays with families.
It's a circle and expectedly so at this time. It's a festive period. Relaxation and partying comes to mind at the end of each calendar year. Those who take out their profit on their investments so as to spend quality time with families are the "humane investor" while those who don't are the "shrewd investors". Everything will do in life should've a human face, otherwise our struggles in life will be without a purpose. As for what I'm doing with my bags at a time like now, I DCA where I can. I also sell off at resistance and then rebuy later.

I'm still trying to buy more for those coins that have a chance to increase again. Hopefully, some altcoins can improve so I can be as profitable again as before. Now I still want to collect more bitcoins because they are still at a reasonable price for me.
When are confident about the technology and business behind some altcoin and that altcoin is falling down, we do not have any other option except buying more to average to get better benefits in long run. Investing into bitcoin at this bottom of bearish market must be a wise decision on my opinion; I appreciate that but for buying altcoin at bottom prices needs lots of cautious. So, diversifying your altcoin bag will help among these highly unpredictable altcoins.
We will buy more if the altcoin has a chance to improve in the future because we already have a lot of valuable information about the project. But for the long term, investing in bitcoin will be better than altcoins and I agree with that because the price of bitcoin will increase in the future. And we also have to be careful choosing altcoins because many altcoins cannot increase in the future and will even be replaced by new coins.

I do nothing for the altcoins I have in my wallet. I wait for its time to rise again, even though I know it will take time. And right now, many of those altcoins are dropping in price but I'm fine. But I'm still trying to buy more for those coins that have a chance to increase again. Hopefully, some altcoins can improve so I can be as profitable again as before. Now I still want to collect more bitcoins because they are still at a reasonable price for me.
If we are long-term investors, we never have to worry about the current market situation. Indeed the best thing to do is to keep calm and hold, and never mind about the price decline. As long as we are investing in trusted and usable projects, it eventually rises when the market will recover. But with those coins that OP has, I don't think this will have a big chance to recover, yet it is just a little chance. If I have those coins, I already sell them earlier and not to wait for another crash as surely to fall hard than the others.
That's right and it's better @OP to think about investing in other coins or just investing in bitcoins and focus on collecting more. But unfortunately, it looks like @OP doesn't know when his altcoins can increase or he may be late selling his coins when they reach their highest price. Hopefully @OP will realize what he did wrong so he can think about what to do now. But we advise him to invest in bitcoin because we already know the upside potential that bitcoin can achieve in the future.

We have no choice but to hold as any altcoin is currently down 80%-90% in value, selling now is pointless. And I doubt our altcoins, whether they will recover or not, is still a question, as not every coin can recover and reach ATH like bitcoin or ethereum. I think you should stop DCA for altcoins, it would be better to just focus on bitcoin, with a lot of altcoins crashing, I don't think altcoins should be trusted at the moment.
