Filling up more good altcoins especially with BNB and XRP because I know they can survive all the FUD and when the market recovers they will also rise. If you are going to deal with the altcoins better not to buy any shit tokens or small tokens, because for me they are not worth it and there’s a huge risk dealing with them, I’m also limiting my exposure to altcoins as much as possible.

It's starting to look like we are going to see a huge dump in the coming weeks into 2023, altcoins are in trouble as big venture capitals are selling off their holdings, and another one today is DCG

Almost all altcoins are now making new all time low, Gala games for example look like it's going to 0.015$ after holding 0.025$ for months, I have halted my buys right now because I believe that BTC will go lower, what are you plans?
Are you buying altcoins right now? Because if that is the case I can tell you this is a mistake, if you already had a lot of altcoins in your portfolio and you failed to sell when the market began to crash then I can understand if you held those coins hoping for a recovery, but to buy altcoins when we are still in the middle of a bear market is a big no, because as we know altcoins not only are even more volatile than bitcoin but they are also way more prone to disappear out of nowhere, which could leave you holding a bunch of useless coins if you are not careful.

Honestly, you are investing altcoins that are certainly at a low value in the market, therefore, it was hard to expect them to look green while Bitcoin is also on the decline situation. These coins are more independent of Bitcoin and when it dumps, these altcoins are badly affected and dump more.
And if you have trust in these coins, I suggest that you extend your patience and keep them, never think about selling them as you are probably at loss. May these coins will surge during the bull market, you'd better wait for that moment. If you have some funds, make use of it for other coins which are more profitable than these coins that you have mentioned.

Maybe not only profitable but a very solid one that you think won't continuously decline its price,
but with high chance of recovering once bitcoin is also going up its price.
And with this consideration, you should consider alts with very strong presence in the market.
In terms of its application, should be widely used by many crypto users, just a good example is the ETH project.
Discard alts that you think are stagnant with their updates, because more than likely, the devs have no future plans for this project.
Better get something rather than wait for the alt to lose its value and lose your money without a fight.

I hold them to be fair. I have some that are gone like literally gone to cents from hundreds of dollars and I have absolutely no hope that they would recover, they are just zero in my eye, but what am I supposed to get from selling something for 3 cents, I mean that doesn't even cover the transaction fee so isn't it normal to just keep them. Some of them are not that bad, they are down %90 which is a lot for sure but not "gone" we are in a bear market so maybe they will recover, and that's why holding them is a good idea as well. I never really felt like selling anything at any point, even if they were a mistake, I just hold them.

The year 2022 is somewhat reminiscent of 2019. Back then, too, there were crazy sales and altcoin prices tumbled. Who sold, lost a lot, who didn't sell, earned a lot. Sell now? What's the point? You're giving your coins away for next to nothing, I personally didn't buy them to give them to the whales for pennies, that's not the right investment plan. If any coins in my portfolio collapse and are even cheaper, I will continue to buy them as much as possible.

^Switch your nonsense altcoins to BTC quickly.
We know that altcoin's price always matters on the BTC price, it seems altcoins are tied up on the BTC which leads the market and if I were you, I will go in a safe option which is not worst when it comes to risk. I don't know GALA but I heard about this project, it is really risky to keep altcoins, especially new projects because you never know when their existence is. Convert your all bag to BTC, probably in my own that is the safest way to protect your portfolio or cut your loss by diversifying on a stable coin.

The market is going to become more worst and the price will continue to drop, for now I will just wait for that moment before buying. You’re exposed too much on many altcoins, i suggest to only buy good altcoins and diversify for at least 5 altcoins and don’t forget to have Bitcoin as well. This bear market will not last, green days will still come.

Altcoins is never certain and has never been, make smart Altcoins investors are aware of this and they understand how to maneuver around all this, although there is no sure way to truely understand how Altcoin works. It’s so uncertain that I myself always avoid altcoins completely.

But if there is going to be an Altcoin to suggest to a novice it would be top altcoins, I consider their volatility more stable than lower altcoins in the long run.

I am only holding those shitcoins that I got from some bounties long time back. The only major altcoin I own is Ethereum and I am not buying any more of it buy holding on what I already have.

With the drop in prices in many altcoins, I am sure its holders would be in a bad situation right now not being able to make the decision to buy or sell. But I am sure they were warned previously about this on this forum, that altcoins are unpredictable and can get down in the dumps in a matter of hours.

I agree that price of bitcoin might go down and this is where keeping the money for buying bitcoin comes in.
Fortunately, I did not hold these shitcoins for some bounties and sold them as soon as they were distributed by the Bounty managers. If we look at their prices now, they have collapsed and their prices have fallen below the cent, and I think that even if the market conditions improve, they will remain at these prices because unfortunately, their projects failed, so I lost hope in them. There are promising Altcoins other than Ethereum such as ADA, XRP, LTC, etc. You have to do your own research. It is a mistake to put all your funds in one currency, and your long-term investment will be a good opportunity for you to achieve huge gains, but you have to do your best in analyzing, following the chart, and looking at the news of the altcoins that will invest in and when the bull season comes and bitcoin rises, these Altcoins that you carefully chose will explode to good peaks.

Altcoins are hard to recover from so for the current holders it is in a difficult time when the price fell more than 90% because it won't recover anytime soon even next year I'm not sure because I don't believe in altcoins.
Its been too bad for me as experience how used to keep altcoins in portfolio all assets went down almost 80% of all it didnt come true what i expected then after that have stopped buying altcoins and focused more on bitcoins.

When bitcoin falls it is different from altcoins, bitcoin is always a lot of bad because they buy when it dips and keep earning to accumulate it, so keep believing in bitcoin as one of the best investment coins.

It is very hard to predict the market bottom, I've come to a conclusion to build up to three different crypto portfolio with 3,000$ each and the plan is every year till the bull market is here. I've built one this year and I don't plan on buying more until June 2023 and I will do the same by January 2024. There is no point trying to know when to buy in a bear market, just have an accumulation strategy in place.

What else can you do at this point than to hold, the whole market is bleeding so there is nothing much to do imo, except the person want to sell at a loss which is not a good idea if you ask me.
Btc is not looking any good and is taking other coins down as well, holding your bags is the safest way to get past this difficult period.

When Bitcoin price is increase, most altcoins price will increase too.
But when altcoins price is decrease, Bitcoin price will not go down because Bitcoin is independent and there's nothing can control it.

I think the past of Bitcoin histories where the price dump to $3000 and then comeback to $69K already give a good reason why Bitcoin is the best currency to buy during bear market. If you only wait without bought Bitcoin at cheap price, you will regret what you done only.
You are right, BTC is incomparably more stable than altcoins.

In theory, it was necessary to get rid of altcoins a long time ago. The longer you hold them in a falling market, the worse it gets. Loss after loss. BTC doesn't fall as much in percentage terms compared to altcoins.

Theoretically, you can buy altcoins, in the potential and future of which you believe, but it is not known how long the market will fall and by how much. It may turn out that we will see better prices in the future. Therefore, I allow partial purchases.

I think this happens at the end of each year. We always see a red market every time we approach the turn of the year. I think some ventures did sell most of their assets and some big whales also spent assets for year-end holidays with families.

I’m doing the only thing that makes sense during a bear market. What I’m doing with my alt bags is what you should all be doing, adding to them. These are the times that you buy low to give you the opportunity to sell high in a few years.

I left my altcoins in my wallet waiting for the prices to go up again. And it will depend on the movement of bitcoin because if bitcoin doesn't increase or even decrease further, altcoins will definitely follow suit. I am now focused on buying more bitcoins, especially if the price can decrease.

I just hope that next year, there are altcoins that can start increasing even though bitcoin conditions are still not allowing it to increase. And I'm not worried about the current state of the crypto market because this has happened in the past few years.

I agree with you that bitcoin is the best coin in this bear season, as it will always be the first to recover and rise again. Bitcoin is also the safest coin in this crypto market, so investing in it should never be considered a wrong decision.

But I disagree with you that the drop in altcoins will not affect bitcoin, with the collapse of Luna and FTX shaking the market and bitcoin falling. News of DCG fund selling assets to save 2 subsidiaries along with Fuds of Binance is causing the market to plunge, and bitcoin once again suffers the same fate with the market. All are related to each other.

Personally I am holding few exchange coins like BNB. So, I guess I may buy more gradually on dips to maximize the potential profits. This may applicable only for reputed coins and not for all the coins including shit-ones.
Seems today Binance coin got huge dump after many attack from United State government until I saw several tweet cornering Binance's position as a money laundering market. I know this FUD moment for many people get benefit reinvesting in lower price, but huge drop from Binance actually become questionable whet happen with Binance and can drop more than 15%.

I am not holding Binance coin but have several altcoin in my portfolio, I don't think have moment recovery few weeks later coming in 2023 or waiting until halving moment time for getting back my money. Still loyal with holding and not have ideas cut loss because I am optimist with Bitcoin can break higher price.
