I'm using ethereum for trading, I've made long-term investments but I'm not getting satisfactory results. so I decided to switch trading and I got a lot of profit from trading, even though I had some trouble before.
I use ethereum to pay fee, as I don't know how to create smart contract and I am not interested in it I don't see any other purpose for ethereum. I don't invest in ICO's and even if I do I would use bitcoins to buy tokens.
Idea behind ethereum is very good but it is mostly used by scammers.

For a while Eth I use to invest in the long term because I think the eth will have a bright future with a great price and I am optimistic that the eth will be more in interest by the community in the future.
I don't use my ethereum for trading but maybe I use ethereum to sending the tokens that I have in my mew wallet to the exchange site. I hold my ethereum as my long-term investment because if I use my ethereum for trading, I am afraid that I cannot make any profit so I think it's better for me to hold ethereum only. besides that, if I want to use for invest in ICO, I don't have time to make a research and find the ICO so I decide to hold my ethereum only.

Ethereum is my main asset for long-term holding. It is really very effective and very profitable cryptocurrency. I don't want to change Ethereum in my portfolio. It brought me a lot of money during last period of time.
Previously i used ETH to invest in ICO's, but currently it makes no sense to do so, as you can buy these coins way cheaper on exchanges.
Currently i'am just holding ETH as i still believe in it, and it gave me huge profit, when i bought my first Ethereum back in 2017 for 12$.
I do admit ETH has some competitors on their way, but if Vitalik & the team will continue good development and upgrading their network, i have no doubts that price of ETH will rise in the future.

I'm a trader. Most of the times I used ETH for For trading. And I using it to buy ICO. Maybe sometimes I selling my ETH for my personal works. But especially I using ETH for buying and Investing. I'm ready to invest my ETH in a good project. But still not yet met a good project for me to invest. ETH is my 2nd most favorite token in the crypto world. 
I always hold some Ethereum, and in case I find a promising ICO, I invest in with Ethereum in most cases.
ETH is too universal altcoin to be used as for trading and as for holding. Anyway I use it everywhere because ETH is the promising altcoin which will rise more and more.

Well Eth is use for investing ICO projects and i am buying to invest in a project. For now i am still looking for a good project that will surely make a good profit on it in the near future. Well hopefully i could get it just like my friend has told me. And some of the ETH i will buy is also could be use for holding because i know that its market price will go high one day. 
i have around 25 eth right now and from which 30-40% i hold for long term investment and with rest of eth's i am doing trading and buying several tokens to buy and sell to get more profit and also i am doing exness trading position like forex trading with eth.
