Hey!

So, here is the deal:
Some of my friends tell me Cryptopia is a solid exchange to trade on. Especially for the smaller coins (not in the top 300),
But, some other friends absolutely hate Cryptopia, they say the UI sucks and it even has scam coins on them.
Both of them have a point, I know the UI isn't the best, but i also know it's good to trade smaller coins on.

I'm wondering, have you ever used this exchange and if yes, would you recommend it?
Looking forward to see some of your replies!

Its been a weeks that cryptopia was under maintenance now, where most of the traders can't able to make trade to their exchange platform.
I don't know how long they will remain like this. But in my opinion, there are lot of good platform who are better than cryptopia just like Binance, kucoin, Coinbene and more..

I have registered there some time ago but didn't actually use it. To my knowledge it was hacked twice a couple of days ago and just like 2-3 days ago again from the same wallets. Probably people don't follow the news and don't care. If you like holding the tokens on the exchange you better secure your account with all possible features offered by an exchange especially 2FA protection, if you hesitate such features you'd better use decentralized exchanges like IDEX, DexAge, EtherDelta and so on. For example the concept of DexAge is to make a crypto to fiat p2p trade, order and done. If you need to make such operations and keep your funds safe on Cold Storage this option would be better for you.

I used Cryptopia, and so far, I don't have any problem until the site has offline. I don't have many coins in these sites. Usually, when one big exchange wants to delist the coin, that coin will move to the small exchange and enter the market. Besides that, I don't use Cryptopia as my daily or weekly trades, so I don't always check my coins daily. Right now, Cryptopia was offline and in the homepage telling about the information.

I had a bad experience with Cryptopia. I lost some of the assets that I saved on the exchanger.
I feel very disappointed at the security of this exchanger, but I can't do anything. this seems to have become fate.

Based on my experience with cryptopia, I have had no problems with their exchange. The deposit and withdrawal are smooth. But I only use their platform to trade my low value coins / tokens I got in the bounty campaign.
Till date I've used several exchanges. One amongst is cryptopia, which too got more small volume coins listed and those weren't available with other exchanges. Everything used to take place in a smooth manner withour flaws. With God's grace I didn't had any fund in the exchange while the attack took place.

I will not recommend it even they have a lot of coins has been listed to cryptopia because that exchanges site even not potential coin you can see that ans most of the token has been listed to that is not good coin and wasting your time and wasting your money too.

cryptopia is the oldest exchange with lots of coins or tokens traded, so far cryptopia is still under maintenance due to the attack of hackers who stole assets in the cryptopia market, I often trade on the cryptopia market, but I never store assets in the market
I don't think we are never going to see cryptopia again because it been a setup from themselves to exit scam in smart way.If this is real then why didn't reveal any reports about the lost funds due to the security breach.

It's been a long time ago actually when i still used exhange cryptopia and it was safe. Last year I was still trading on cryptopia and now it's stopped because I have no more assets there. With the issue of hacking in cryptopia is disappointing and feel angry for traders who steal their assets

I only have an account there definitely don't make use of it to trade in daily basis, I do see all the FUD been said about them I won't recommend it for a newbies who wants to start trading.
I used Cryptopia to get Pillar before. So I can not say that it is hard to use, so newbies could use it. But the hacking event proved that exchange was insecure and we must stay as far away as we can.

Cryptopia was one of my favorite exchanges. So many coins listed there and the most of them not in the top of the ranking so it was a good exchange as the volume was a good one and they had so many altcoins listed there. By the time it got hacked, I lost my faith in Cryptopia. I may still try to trade some coins there but I am very discouraged to do so due to the recent events.
I would suggest you not to use the site for now unless the issue will be settled since the hacking of their site is still questionable for mostly says its an inside job,,but we dont really know what happens so for your own safety prevent from engaging to cryptopia for now

Never tried this one before because i am very particular in every site that i am engaging and so far i mostly use binance and kyber

It was one of favourite exchanges, since there were lots of unknown cryptocurrencies. Despite the fact that I did not liked the UI that much, but the platform was very fast and reliable at that moment. Very unfortunate that it is down now, luckily I had very little assets on this platform.

If you are looking at the number of alt coins you can trade then I would suggest you to use CoinSwitch.co. They provide 350+ coin trading 45000 Coin pair for exchange and also you can buy 100+ alt coins from credit card. No KYC required and many more features.
