It's more like revenge sex, when your boyfriend cheats on you, then you decide to go and fuck another guy(s). This even has a category in most porn sites.🤣

However one thing I don't understand about revenge gambling🤔, are you getting back at yourself by doing this or you are just stupid thinking any kind of gambling is OK?
I guess you watched alot of porn🤣😁
I don't know if they're  getting back at themselves or the getting back at the casino but I know one thing for is that they just want to recover their losses and this doesn't  end well always.
Revenge  gambling at some points isn't done consciously or let me say intentionally as the player at the moment  might not even know they're  already chasing after their losses until they blow up their account.

It's in our human nature that we always rationaliz things we do and we'll do. Take revenge gambling or simple gambling as an example, everyone believes that they high chances of losing will be far away from them and God of luck stands by their side no matter what. In contrast, we may have a car accident every time we drive out although chances are very slim but nobody believes that they will end up in an accident. The odds of winning a bet and getting a car accident might be similar and the only difference is our thinking. I guess people just make too many excuses to rationalize what they do to gain benefits while it turns out to be the opposite in many cases. Sad but true.

This is one part of gambling that should be avoided at all costs, it's more like a quicksand you've lost control of your action I once fall into it losing almost 25k on one of the casino-based tokens in their platform, and I still fall into chasing my loss but I have full control now and only limit the amount I use for chasing my losses
It's very hard to control the urge to regain what you've lost, because of the adrenaline rush after losing your bankroll you should have a way to control it or limit your funds in case you are chasing your losses.

I think revenge isn't always bad.
Take this or your leave it, revenge is always bad in gambling, if you lose from gambling and you want to recover the money from gambling,  that is how more money is going to be lost. According to my experience, the loss will also differ because it would be more and likely what will lead to what will take all the money the gambler is having that is available for gambling at that period of time. Even if you leave gambling for awhile and later think of revenge, that is enough to bring up a bad mindset that will result to losses.

Just as the topic implies, What really are your thoughts on revenge gambling?
Revenge gambling can be seen as a situation where one chases after their loss after making huge loss which to me ends up a disaster.
After losing money and you want to revenge, then you will endup losing more money because you will be very desperate to win back the money you lose, their will be pressure on you which at the end you might endup losing more. If you lose in a bet, take a break for that day or that moment, you can come back another day and enjoy your gambling.
One of the major reasons people chase after loss is
*using money they can't afford to loss to gamble
I have heard lots of stories about gamblers, I have seen when gamblers selling their properties just because they want to gamble, that's really wrong, if a person like that keeps on losing, then he will want to try his possible best to win back the amount he lost, so that he can get his property back, if you want to gamble, then do it with any amount you can afford to lose.

This is the usual scenario for many gamblers, they keep on chasing their losses with a hope that they can get it back but in the end, they lose more because of this greedy action. In gambling once you lose the money you should not chase it anymore because luck is not on your side and you might lose more. Just gamble the money you can afford to lose, have a budget on that and stick to that budget.
They let their emotion control their decision which is too bad in gambling, once you already hit your limit you should commit on that and accept the result. Gambling is addicting, if you lose self-control you will ended up broke and if that money is meant for something else problem after problem will occur so be more responsible, casinos wont run away you still have a lot of time to gamble in the next day.

Just sleep it off, and just go back to your games when you think you are emotionally refreshed.
If you will revenge your losses, this will incur more losses as your emotions are at peak and you may not be thinking logically.
It is true that this scenario is typical for gamblers who want to get back their losses.
But it is not advisable if you will get back using borrowed money, with the main aim of recovering it.
You will incur more debt and you are just digging your hole in this activity. Remember it is gambling, and winning is not always on your side.
And if you are playing those luck-based games, keep in mind there is HE and luck, just few factors that will not guarantee your winnings.

Revenge gambling is often experienced with money that isn't the gambler's. And it ends in more losses because of the anxiety, pressure and lack of emotional control. It is better to admit losses and strategize another day to gamble, instead of moving with that eagerness to recover what has already been lost.

Revenge in real sense ends in disaster because the mind is already unstable, the same applies to gamblers when they try revenging their loss.
I don't quite agree with you, to whom the player can take revenge? This is a common desire to recoup a defeat, but often this does not bring anything good, only leads to additional losses. If the player managed to win a good amount, or it happened that a significant amount was lost, then at this day is just worth stopping. Doing something on emotions is bad, you need a clear think when it comes to money, it’s better to calm down and think about what happened, and the next day figure out how to get out of this situation.

The term revenge alone implies negativity, so it would not be useful one’s pursued. Just like in revenge gambling, the only reason I’ve seen players resorting to this is that maybe they have been into huge losses and just want to recover them, or they have been seeing gambling as a source of income and make high expectations that they will eventually gain money from it in the long run. But most likely, the worst scenario will eventually takes place. Once we gamble more and chase over our losses, we end up losing even more. It’s good to gamble and set limits, but once uncontrolled, we all know it will never be fun and profitable anymore.

In my opinion, an attempt to win back a loss is one of the most common mistakes that admit a gambler at a time when he was overwhelmed with emotion.

Gambling means that the casino has an advantage over the player and the longer you play the more likely you are to lose. If you think that it is so easy to return the money you lost you are very mistaken and you need to reconsider your views on gambling.

In general, you should try to play not to win, and for the pleasure of the game, but some gamblers never come to this understanding.
Gamblers hardly realize that gambling is to mostly lose, and not to make profits all the time. That the gambling casino house has always the advantage over the players, whether those games are luck or chance based, or even skilled based games. The reason why gamblers should always consider it as a means of entertainment rather than seeing as a means of living. Gambling will always be fun and exciting if we play and win, but we should also be more open to losses as they can always be inevitable, and just learn to accept them, but never to chase.

Basically not a  good way to recoup your losses. Experienced this before for multiple times but it ends ep losing more because chasing the losses stirs me so much that I don't control my emotions and becoming greedy unconsciously. Doing this kind of behavior will make you put yourself in a risky plays such as trying out your luck by making you do what you aren't normally doing by betting on a risky odds. You will just dig deeper if you are trying this kind of gambling behavior. It will stir up your emotion so much that you will be frustrated after losing much more.

When it comes to gambling, the addiction happens when you expect good winning and loss is the end result. The lookup for recovering the loss is the major reason, another thing is the greed. Even when you're winning good the mind never accepts, but it moves forward with big bets where loss happens easily. Later the recovery turns to be difficult and look for sources where we need to deposit big money to recover the big loss. So, revenge gambling shouldn't be followed.

IMO, there are no measures that will work to stop you from fighting revenge gambling. believe me, that the most appropriate step is your own decision. remember, there is still tomorrow or maybe another day. you can come back later, maybe after your emotional situation is stable at the same time luck is on your side.
It's really a dangerous situation when the gambler feels tempted by revenge. All he can think about is recovering that money somehow, through another gambling session. It feels like if he doesn't do that, he can't think about anything else: he can't work, eat, sleep properly... It's like an unfinished task which must be completed before going ahead to another daily activities. The heart starts beating faster, the hands start sweating and it doesn't stop until he has his revenge, or until he completely lose all his money.

If the gambler is able to figure out an exit from this trap on the middle of the process, congratulations to him, because it's really a tough challenge. I think the best approach is to try remaining calm and don't bothering too much about the lost sum of money, so the desire for chasing losses must decrease, at least a little bit, until settling completely after a while.

It is a bad move by a player.  Chasing losses is already proven to be one of the main reason why player losses more.

~ what other reasons would make some indulge in revenge gambling?

One possilbe reason is that the player gambled a money the he can not afford to lose.  Other than this what else is the reason?

~ What are the measures to help combat revenge gambling?

One solution is that only gambling that you can afford to lose because by doing this, player don't have any reason to chase their losses.

I'm not too sure, but let's discuss this. first of all, there's no such thing as revenge gambling. what usually happens is, someone wants to recover losses after experiencing previous losses. so, naturally. one wants to recover his losses after a gambling session, then make a re-deposit and hope for a big luck at the same time. why it happened, instinctively because humans have emotions. and this is very closely related to the human side of psychology, and how we respond to it. not easy, especially if you have been controlled by a high level of emotion after experiencing a loss from the gambling session that you did.

Your ego will say, that if you make another deposit, chances are you will be able to recover the losses you previously suffered. if you are lucky, you can restore it even get a big reward. but if the opposite happens, your brain will produce excessive dopamine. what is the impact, you will easily get stressed and so on.

IMO, there are no measures that will work to stop you from fighting revenge gambling. believe me, that the most appropriate step is your own decision. remember, there is still tomorrow or maybe another day. you can come back later, maybe after your emotional situation is stable at the same time luck is on your side.

I've never heard of the term but it fits. I've been describing it as gambling on loss while you are frustrated and angry so yours is faster to say.

But i am sad to admit that this has been the doom of me of several times. Especially on poker it makes to drop down your guard and is a recipe for loss. Now i have a rule that when i am losing enough for it making me frustrated, i am taking a long walk beore gambling, or preferably now playing on that day or few days until i am totally cooled down.
