Let the man be.

It's funny, if it were genuine incompetence w/o intent, I'd be inclined to agree.  What pisses me off more is the lack of communication post-realization.  Even if Mark were restricted from talking, he should have closed the site immediately and leaked something to steer folks away from sites like BitcoinBuilder.  Instead, he let the community dig an even deeper hole likely with the intent to selfishly soften the financial blow to himself.

I have no sympathy for the guy.

The reality seems to be that this man's life is over, he will probably have to go into some kind of protected custody for his safety.

If he didn't directly lose your bitcoins, he pushed the price down and thus losing money indirectly.

No offense, but to people who lost money on gox, that is kinda your fault.  If you allowed a website called Magic the gathering online exchange to hold on to thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars just
seems like negligence on your part.

Sorry, but the negligence is on the part of the people who mismanaged the business, not the people who lost money to said dishonourable business. Part of me hates Mark and part of me feels bad for him because he was incompetent and --maybe-- not deliberately dishonest but is now going to have his life ruined.

These two guys are sitting somewhere having a drink together and laughing at all of you. They met during Wagner's visit to Gox HQ. Mark told Bruce to make up a story telling people why you can't film the inside of our offices and I'll throw you a couple of bucks. I don't want them to see that it's really just a broom closet sized rental with no employees, me and an old Windows XP machine. lol

Hire a hitman to kill him? I dont believe in jail and all that bs, just wasting good tax payers money to feed scums.

Last time i checked, Yakuza is still cheaper than Mexican cartel. And in Japan, especially Tokyo, its an easy target.

Anyone who lost money failed to do proper research.  Move aside and let the true captains of industry scam you make money.

Mark Karpeles destroyed the Bitcoin public image, stole client's money and still causing serious Bitcoin price drop by doing this during the recent years:

1: Mark Karpeles insider trading & manipulating the market price with or without system BUG excuses

2: Mark Karpeles sold all scammed bitcoins from 1 to his hidden offshore bank account (opened by shield company with nominee directors, don't say he didn't)

3: Mark Karpeles moved & sold client's bitcoins to his hidden offshore bank account

4: Mark Karpeles bought some luxury villas in swiss / island (in caribbean? who knows) with his hidden offshore bank account

5: Mark Karpeles filed Bankruptcy plus asked for protection, claimed $63.6m dollars plus 750-850k bitcoins debt, left us an empty company of cause

6: Mark Karpeles said "he felt sorry for your lose" couple days after he claimed "all clients fund are safe",

7: Mark Karpeles wait until we finally forget this pain like inputs.io/Bitcoincia/etc

8: Mark Karpeles moves to the prepered destination, enjoy his rich wonderful happily life ever after, (9:) or may be create/join/fund a new company with your money to scam the forgetful bitcoiners again when he feel bored, no consequences easy money anyway isn't it?

what about us, we just accept the lose and move on? the Japan law is not standing at bitcoin's side, they might not charge him with a crime at all, he will be free to go

what about bitcointalk moderator, move this topic to "Service Discussion", less views less pain?

soon enough, this will become past already or even never happened, most of us are happy again
