It is a general believe in the cryptocurrency community that Bitcoin bull season is usually followed by altcoins season. I don't know the logic behind it hence the reason for this post. The present bull run seems to be dominated by Bitcoin and its already taking too long without corresponding rise in price among the notable altcoins.

So, should we also expect altcoin season following the current bull run? If yes, what are the best altcoins to focus on?
Maybe that is the only reason and once those Bitcoin investors full out their earning in bitcoin then they are converting into altcoins this is why altcoins are following bitcoin and that is the what we have seen for how many times .
and there is no typical logic but the movement of those big investors and of course we are following them.

So, should we also expect altcoin season following the current bull run? If yes, what are the best altcoins to focus on?
According to previous cycles, this has absolutely the basis to happen. The money flowing into the market will go into Bitcoin first, then will rotate to Altcoins. But now with this cycle, I see some differences. That is the strong division of Altcoins when the number of Altcoins available on the market is too much. Meanwhile, the cash flow is not really too much to have a simultaneous price increase of all Altcoins, but rather an increase in price according to certain narratives (eg L2, LSD, AI, Dex...).. Therefore, I think investing in Altcoin will no longer be as easy as in previous cycles(just choosing the right time to buy any coin will also win).
The current market context is different, many narratives are drawn, whichever narrative is attractive and trendy at the present time will attract cash flow first. If you are not really quick to update new information, you will be very confused in choosing which type of Altcoins to invest in, and easily choose old Altcoins that no longer have improvements or compatibility in the future. It leads the profits you earn will be significantly lower. With my ALtcoin investment plan, I prioritize choosing new ALtcoins with many improvements suitable for the upcoming market instead of old Altcoins that have gone through many cycles but still have no improvements.

Of the many bull run periods in Bitcoin, it will indeed affect the altcoin market as a whole, so we can expect this to also happen during the current bull run, but on what altcoins we should focus on, it seems like it's too late because we should start buying altcoins when Bitcoin is not yet bullish. because altcoins are at very low prices, whereas currently many altcoins are starting to increase.
You can check that altcoins like shiba inu are being pumped and it will be quite dangerous in my opinion if you buy them now even though shiba hasn't reached its last ath a few years ago but those who want to buy should know the potential losses on this coin, and I hope shiba can rise beyond its ath in a few last year.
If we are to expect the altcoin season within the bull, I guess you are suggesting that Bitcoin will be stalled after which the altcoin season will follow. If that be the case, I don't know if there will be enough interval of time before this become noticeable that we are in the altcoin season. If you check, Ethereum as well as other major altcoins have been rising along with Bitcoin as expected because when Bitcoin rises, other cryptocurrencies follows it. I know some people are already looking away from Bitcoin, people who feel that Bitcoin will not give much profits. Maybe they are targeting the altcoin season to see their investment experience the explosive growth.

The first thing that a newcomer hear about crypto is Bitcoin. Once the person is interested in crypto, they will learn and share more about altcoins

Bitcoin is always and will remain the father of all crypto coin. Even my old grandfather in the village will have once hear about BTC. With this alone, BTC will remain incomparable with any coin or token in the crypto space.
Without deviating from the actual focus of this thread, I will only want to buttress more or throw more light to what Bitcoin is; Bitcoin isn't just the father or first cryptocurrency but it's a paradigm shift that occured to shift the thinking of people from its original state to another. Its more likely to be first and most reoccurring word that happens to repeat itself in the space.

To OP with my little knowledge in the cryptosphere I think altcoin season is just a phrase used to express a particular event that happens after bitcoin biggest price movement which is every other altcoin reaching a new ATH.

This coming bull run will be a massive opportunity for most altcoin. It's high time we start filling our bags with your favorite altcoin. Although it may not be that easy getting money to invest, but one can just keep try by buying gradually with the little spare money you have.
It seems that you have to be quite patient with Altcoins because now Bitcoin has reached a new ATH at $70k. Bitcoin reaches ATH first and altcoins are still on standby. just need to wait for Ethereum to also reach a new ATH and it is a top altcoin. You have to think about what altcoin you want to hold and don't hold altcoins that don't have any development.

In this Bull run all altcoins will show greater achievement and Ethereum is already hitting huge price of 3939$. If bitcoin increases in price Ethereum will increases too which will directly pump the other altcoins.

Investment does not mean to buy a whole bitcoin and other coins but you can step forward each month by investing little money. Only wealthy people can invest at once but if middle class people wants to take benefit from this opportunity then he can use his saved amount or buy a little portion each month by using little percentage from their salary.

Something like this happened in 2017, at that time the price of Bitcoin rose drastically due to the halving and after the Bitcoin halving the price of altcoins also rose drastically. This probably happened because when the halving occurred most people were only focused on Bitcoin, and after the halving ended they started to look at altcoins and used the profits they got to invest in altcoins. because many people invest in altcoins, the price of altcoins will rise drastically, and this is what is called altcoin season.
It's just taking turns, people make a lot of profit from bitcoin rising due to halving, and after a while bitcoin reaches its peak, it can't go that much higher, a little higher maybe but not a ton.

So, people take out their profits at bitcoin and start investing those profits into alts, and they are a bit more reckless with it because they realize that it is not going to be too easy, and that causes people to not really care about losing, which makes the market go up like crazy since people just want to buy everything. That is what altcoin season is all about to be fair, and I think that should be the most normal thing we can think about, there won't be really anything that will go crazier than that in the end.

I think this season's bullrun is a super mega cycle where there will be a lot of altcoins hitting their ath. Especially with fund managers such as Blackrock participating in the BTC ETF. I think there will be a lot of new investors who will get into crypto and some will try to invest in altcoins in the hope of getting returns of up to several hundred percent. I think this season is different from previous seasons. I see this as in 2017-2018 where Bitcoin became very popular on the internet and many people were curious and learned about it, making the value of Bitcoin and several altcoins increase many times over until its peak in 2021. I think this year is the same as then. But for popular altcoins I think this year there will be many new projects that become popular and replace old altcoins. Some well-known examples include Rndr, Fetch, Ondo, Manta, and Altlayer.

You see, the Bitcoin industry is also a type/ kind of market and it is greatly influenced by the actions of the potential investors.

What generally causes the alt season is;
Firstly, the surge in Bitcoin price during the bull season. When this happens investors begin to invest massively in Bitcoin, and this leads to its price going higher and higher. After a while, the price begins to consolidate and reduce, just a little though, but at this period, these investors begin to withdraw their assets and look for other cryptocurrencies to invest in. This altcoin in return begins to surge in price due to the massive investments being poured into it. As a result, the price surpasses Bitcoin and dominates.

Basically, the market is influenced by the actions of the investors. What they do greatly affects the price of the cryptocurrencies. The more a cryptocurrency is popular and is invested in the higher its price.

just need to wait for how the price of bitcoin moves, wait for bitcoin dominance to decrease and the price of bitcoin to stabilize. This will be a great altcoin moment in my opinion. owning and holding top altcoins from now on will provide multiple returns. Don't waste the opportunity that only comes when the halving occurs and this opportunity needs to be maximized. use your spare cash to start buying before bitcoin and altcoins reach a new ATH.

This coming bull run will be a massive opportunity for most altcoin. It's high time we start filling our bags with your favorite altcoin. Although it may not be that easy getting money to invest, but one can just keep try by buying gradually with the little spare money you have.

From my experience, it often follows that after a bullish Bitcoin market, there is typically a period of growth for alternative cryptocurrencies. Investors, observing high Bitcoin prices, begin seeking other assets with growth potential. This can lead to increased interest in altcoins and their subsequent growth. The main thing is not to miss this moment and to find the exit point in time.

the altcoin rising season will occur when bitcoin has risen very high and slowly sideways for a while, that's where the altcoins will slowly rise, I think the first ones to rise will be narratives at that time, and those with good news will rise higher than other coins.

There is no specific cause of altcoin seasons. There are only cryptocurrency seasons that I know of.

As for my little experiences, we have the bull run and the bear run seasons. This season contributes to the effect on the price of cryptocurrency, with bitcoin as the pioneer, followed by the altcoins.

When bitcoin increases, altcoin follows, and vice versa. So specifically, altcoin seasons are bitcoin seasons.

Even if I believe ETH will break its own ATH as well, it could take more time than what many people anticipate, bitcoin was incredibly close to break its own ATH, but ETH is still more than 20% away from reaching it, and if bitcoin were to reach a new ATH, I am sure a great deal of money that is now invested in altcoins will flow to it.

An event which could delay the appearance of a new ATH for ETH even further, so investors need to take this into account if they are planning on buying some ETH at the moment.

You right mate, nothing comes swiftly. If Ethereum is to break it ATH then it takes some more time, even when Bitcoin was very close to breaking it's ATH Ethereum was still a bit behind in reaching it's ATH, so definitely Bitcoin will break it's ATH first and if the market continues to be bullish, Ethereum will break it's own too. Even if the market get bearish there is a high tendency that Ethereum ETF would be approved in the month of May and that could also lead to its bull.

Well, usually, altcoins season occurs when Bitcoin is already having a rally. Because I see and I have witnessed that when the bull run is when the price value of Bitcoin rises, most of the top altcoins are also pulled up in the market.

And maybe this past week we also witnessed many altcoins whose price value rose in the market, right? even the meme coins also went along to be honest.

The increase in Bitcoin prices has indeed been very drastic, but unfortunately this price increase has not been followed by all altcoins. In my opinion there are only a few altcoins whose prices have risen drastically, such as ETH SOL and SHIB. Honestly I still believe that after the halving the altcoin season will arrive, and what we should focus on is potential altcoins whose prices have not yet risen drastically because after the altcoin season arrives the prices will increase drastically.
