Yes, Bitcoin is always the leader and before order into currency followers, so there for Altcoins follows the bull run. most of the market in investing in altcoins is not really advisable and I am myself I may not advise you because sometimes it follows the trending all this big investors what they do they invest big amount in the coin and the supply coin goes up so if you can be able to follow the trend it will be more better because it is not defined as bitcoin everyone know the price everyone know how is everyone know. So if you’re able to study to check out you can proceed.

Although some altcoins are presently following after the price movement of Bitcoin and if you had invested in them you also get some profit from them, but Bitcoin being the head of all cryptocurrency is not yet done with it's bull and I believe after the halving when the price correction takes place that is when most of those altcoins will pump same the bull run after the halving. Coins like Ethereum have been following Bitcoin for a while now, and it will also break a new ATH if Bitcoin breaks its own.
Even if I believe ETH will break its own ATH as well, it could take more time than what many people anticipate, bitcoin was incredibly close to break its own ATH, but ETH is still more than 20% away from reaching it, and if bitcoin were to reach a new ATH, I am sure a great deal of money that is now invested in altcoins will flow to it.

An event which could delay the appearance of a new ATH for ETH even further, so investors need to take this into account if they are planning on buying some ETH at the moment.

It is a general believe in the cryptocurrency community that Bitcoin bull season is usually followed by altcoins season. I don't know the logic behind it hence the reason for this post. The present bull run seems to be dominated by Bitcoin and its already taking too long without corresponding rise in price among the notable altcoins.

So, should we also expect altcoin season following the current bull run? If yes, what are the best altcoins to focus on?

of course yes if we want to build our wealth alt season is really eagerly awaited I recommend focusing on eth because it is still the king of altcoins I am sure based on some of my research eth will make a new all time high in the next bullrun but still based on your research yourself, don't be fomo about what I say

As per my understanding until Bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market does not go below 50% we won't see altcoin season. Looking at the current market condition I do not see any possibility of altcoin season coming soon. The gains that Bitcoin is getting every day are the after-effects of Bitcoin spot ETFs. The demand has not dried down on the contrary it going up. This is the halving year and that means we can forget about altcoin season unless the Ethereum spot ETF gets approved. If it gets approved then we can expect a small but good altcoin season.

Since BTC has a high trading volume and dominates the entire cryptocurrency, we can say that when the price of BTC increases, the price of other alt coins also increases.  As the price of BTC increases during a bull run, the price of alt coins also increases.  So bull run season can be called alt coin season.

Though what you said is true, I don't think that's what people call an altcoin season because that is considered a bull run for Bitcoin and altcoins just follow its movements. After all, Bitcoin dictates the market as a leader. An altcoin season is when Bitcoin might be stable or going sideways but other cryptocurrencies are performing well besides the fact that Bitcoin isn't performing very well.
However, in my opinion, investments in altcoins should only be done when Bitcoin is going up and is in the bull run because at such times, the movements of altcoins are more prominent and trustworthy because you wouldn't be expecting a sudden drop at any time.

Bitcoin dominate the crypto market and if the value of bitcoin is going up other cryptocurrencies value with increase too. The bull market is not just for only bitcoin, but the altcoins will also experience  the bull season  too. Altcoins like Ethereum and BNB are good altcoins to hodl because they have potential of good profit and they are reliable to hodl compare to other altcoins that are not well known.
I mean looking at the dominance, 52% right now, which means that bitcoin is over half of what entire crypto market is worth. This means that there could be a period where either bitcoin stays the same or goes down a bit while alts keep going up, and that will be when the alt season starts. That has always been the case, we have seen bitcoin go up, and that usually ends up with a situation where it will go up a lot more and we could technically do a lot better.

We need to see bitcoin slowing down first, so far it has been doing pretty well and I am guessing that it will not be all that crazy on the long run. There is still halving to happen, so I am guessing at least 2025 before we see an altcoin season starting and bitcoin slowing down, not before that.

When I came to know about altcoins in this board, there were few altcoins and they were follow bitcoin back to back.  Op there is no logic there, bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency in the ecosystem and it was existing before Ethereum and others came to join it in the ecosystem so you won't expect those altcoins to compete with bitcoin but they can only follow it from the back. Bitcoin must dominate the market because it has more population and has more traffic than any other cryptocurrency. The rising speed in bitcoin and others is very big. Like in 2023 when bitcoin price was $45k Ethereum was $2k and when bitcoin climbs to $62+k , Ethereum is still on $3+k.

The movement of altcoins are very slow compared to bitcoin price movement.

Everyone hopes that there will be an increase in altcoins, not just BTC, where behind Bitcoin there are supporting altcoins to provide color in crypto trading,
I think well-known altcoins like eth and bNb are likely to be the main coins to gain profits in this bullrun season

BTC is very close to breaking its past ATH record in the current bull run. Don't you notice that not only the BTC price has increased in the current bull run but also the alt coins. The ongoing bull run has seen many reap more profits from altcoins than they expected. My personal choices among the best alt coins to focus on are ETH, BNB, SOL. Although I am not invested in BNB and Sol, I am invested in Ethereum. With the price growth currently observed in these alt coins, I am optimistic that they may surpass their past ATH in the next bullrun. However, I take my own decisions in my altcoin investments, if you want to invest in altcoins, you should definitely give priority to your personal decision.

It's a difficult logic it's all about the market sentiments from the angle of investors, as the bull run is expected and a lot of invested looking forward to see bitcoin break bonds with new ATH pricing it is believed that as a leading crypto bitcoin has an influence on the performance of every other altcoins to also do fine, but this also has to do with the potentiality of the altcoin as there are a lot of altcoins that are going to have a  deficiency of growth in value even when the bull run is in full force, that's where the difficulty of getting a good coin comes in.
Ignorance plays a big role as well, many of those that invest during the altcoin season are either new investors which do not know anything about the market, or they are people that are not satisfied with the profits bitcoin could give them and prefer to take their chances by investing in altcoins.

But regardless of the reason, investing in altcoins is a very risky move, since we know that even projects that have made it to the top 10 became scams, and the people that thought they were holding a good asset were left holding useless coins they could not sell anymore.

I think the logic behind it is that people are done in BTC for a while, so they think it is now time for the altcoins to do the same. They buy it, pump it and then everybody sells it to get a share for helping the movement. Not only the present bull run but almost all bull run are like that.

It is usually led by BTC which made sense because it is the first crypto and isn't it weird if the bull run will be started by ETH and then followed by all altcoins? Anyways, there is no bull run yet that occurred because we haven't broken our past ATH yet and this is the reason why you don't see altcoins rallying. For the best altcoins, I already mentioned ETH, then just team it up with the alts next to it (you know the top ones).

I like to think of it as that Bitcoin brings the good energy and then altcoins follow along. But then I’ve experienced a scenario where Bitcoin wasn’t pumping but altcoins were actually pumping, and this made me understand that altcoin bull run can be independent too. But in all the cases I know, when Bitcoin is undergoing a bull run, altcoins eventually step in and start pumping. So it may not be happening today or tomorrow but brace up, as long as the bull run continues, altcoins will jump in eventually.
Bitcoin is the major energy in the market and we need to know what we are doing before investing in any project that is different from Bitcoin.Ww can look for good altcoin to put our money so we can earn while holding them.
There are good projects we can buy whether are majorly meme coin investors or not, we need to keep looking for good projects we can invest in without any sentimental reasons.

I predict the Bitcoin halving will happen soon and will increase the price of Bitcoin significantly, and I think altcoins will also increase significantly. So I think it is now the best option to choose the best altcoin to buy and hold long term, and don't forget to do thorough research before doing so.
Bitcoin is a driver of other coins or altcoins, and our job is just to choose the right altcoin and also provide good returns during the Bitcoin bullrun and also sell at the right time.

We should always loo out for the Bitcoin of Bitcoin because this is the major things that trigger the market to start moving bullish and this also used to affect to affect the price of altcoins to skyrocket. For us to make money from the market the price of Bitcoin need to push up so we can keep making money without stress. It is better we understand the market at this certain time so that we could know the right time we can always buy from the market so it's not going to stress us or affect our investment.

Alt season follows a bitcoin run.  People take their profits from a bitcoin bull and throw it into alts which gets them going.  Alts don't take much to rise (or fall) because of the relatively low volume compared to bitcoin.  In terms of what to follow, no one knows.  Every new market a new set of coins takes off ypu just need to watch early on to see what runs.  Just make sure ypu have a bail out plan don't ride the wave all the way down which happens more than not with alts.

Op, you are on point towards this. You know sometimes I just keep reasoning why bitcoin price must have to move before AltCoins could move. Further asking myself that what is the relationship or blockchain between Bitcoin and the AltCoins. Why can't AltCoin have the potential capacities to rise even when bitcoin price is down? Why is AltCoins dependent to bitcoin? Why can't there be an AltCoins seasons just as you Op has questioned? AltCoin is indeed questionable.
