I have bought some coins that interest me when market was down later of January this year. If I would sell these coins now, it would give a little profit but I prefer to hold these for about half-a-year or even a year. They were Cardano, Elixir, SNOV, and IOTA. Some of them are not really popular and waiting for the devs to pump up and plan to sell.

Im only holding cartaxi tokens(CTX) and nametokens(NAT). My have low price for now, i will hold it in two years and hoping that it will increase in value that time. I have not yet much capital to buy some coins for now.

I hold many altcoins now and will hold the same ones for most of the year unless they increase significantly, main ones at the moment are BIS, BLOCK, ETC, XRB and SKY also a few 1 sat coins like Dimecoin just in case.

X3 for a year is not such a big increase in order to rely heavily on it. If you want more significant growth, then you should take risks and invest in smaller coins. Even one small coin can grow so much that it will pay off investments in other coins.

Hold ETH and hold it tightly,its performance in the market has been awesome of late and it seems consistent and resilient. it might be very valuable by the end of 2018.

Hold XMR, Litecoin and Ripple. these are coins that are not only showing great potential but are are also backed with amazing technologies that might see them end the year on high note.

In 2018, i can recommend Dether among the newest. This project is very positive and there is a new target mass to serve. You will be able to make transactions with a mobile phone with internet access, without any need for a bank or stock exchange account. To me, it's still early to invest in Dether (DTH) now and it's still cheaper. I suggest your review, the decision is up to you.

I have some cryptocurrency assets that I will still hold in 2018. bitcoin, ethereum, Nav, Xspec, Centra, are my assets on 2017..but i prefer Xspec and Nav might be good choices to get good profits in the future. because that coins have roadmap promising for this year.. Cheesy

Aside from Bitcoin and Ethereum that I am holding right now, I am thinking of holding EOS because I know that it will be a good coin in the future. I believe that EOS's price will increase in a long term because of its fast transaction speed. I am thinking of hodling XLM, LTC and NEO for long term too.
