I don't see why you would pose a question like this for us to respond to as though we were inside Elon Musk's head attempting to decipher or watch his next move.

With all the purchases he has been doing since have any of us figured out what the next business deal he would get into? That's what human being's minds are like. You can't know what they are up to, or want to purchase until they make it open for the general public to know.

Having said that, Elon Musk is a successful businessman. He is free to make any significant acquisition that will benefit him at any time. Let's see how he battles Mark Zuckerberg first, if he is successful in the fight or unsuccessful.

I still think food/water, but I also found the AI idea very good one that could be used for sure. I am not saying that he is going to get into it, but he looks like the type of crazy person that can take over a whole AI company and use it for some insane thing as well. I think its going to be a bit of a tough situation because the big one is chatgpt and openai is already invested by a lot of rich people. I do not know what he can do about that but if he can actually purchase one, which he possibly could considering how rich he is and how much money he can spare for something like this, it would be very risky for our future. The biggest threat of AI is the possibility of it being owned by people like him, so its actually quite scary idea.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?
I think you should answer before you ask because Elon Musk is a curious man that loves positive curious technology intervention that will generate some improvement and also solve issues.
If we look into today's market Artificial intelligence is the only technology that impacted also all environments and I believe this is the reason why he created Neuralink in the first place and also invested in ChatGPT.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

Afaik Elon Musk is interested on AI projects such as ChatGPT in which he invested already 50M for the development of this project. I think the closest company that Elon next big/notable purchased will be an AI company that will succeed first on the advancement of AI. Elon really likes a company with crazy idea that will give huge leap for technlogical advancement of human.

ChatGPT is the number contender for the next company being privately owned by Elon Musk. I'm not updated on how ChatGPT ownership status now but I'm sure ELon is really interested to acquire this project.

I doubt he will, he left OpenAI board in 2018. I am guessing he is pissed off because they made ton of money with it after he left, and that's why he is attacking lately how AI isn't safe enough. I am sure that he would love be a part of it but i don't think board is letting him in with any money. He is just too unhinged. But he probably will find some new potetially good AI to back, or he has already backed them.

Why doesn't Musk create his own social network? Trump did own network (though he founded it on Twitter) o. And Musk could call the social network "Muscomania." Why not? He has enough money and resources to quickly promote any product his company creates.

I think Elon Musk is a visionary and a risk-taker who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities. I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to buy a major media company or a gaming platform this year.He seems to have an interest in entertainment and social media, as well as technology and innovation.

There is no denying that the game world has a promising market potential and if it does have a big impact and definite benefits. Elon Musk would probably buy it. Yes, Elon is always one step ahead in a number of ways. By the way. Regarding the match between Elon Musk and Zuckerberg, has it started yet?  Grin Grin

Elon who was on the internet for having agreed to a fight with Mark Zuckerberg is one of the worlds billionaires with a networth that's more than Mark's Metaverse.

He has followed a trend of acquiring some of the world's top assets in form of largest shares and ownership of the companies.

In 2021 he purchased huge BTC, in 2022 he acquired Twitter. This is 2023 and he is yet working on huge space exploration project to Mars among others like Neuralink, the boring company, Tesla.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

If Elon was actually as intelligent as some of his megafans would have you believe, he would keep any hints of his next acquisitions under wraps. He doesn't really need to acquire any more companies as he could already pour his fortune back into one of the many innovative brands he controls. If he spent the 40 billion he dropped on Twitter into more space ships or other things, instead of trying to stroke his own ego - he might get a little more respect. However his next acquisition could be something like a newspaper that will print gushing articles about him constantly or air his constant vendettas.

Although Mark did invest into Metaverse but likely failed from it, the name of his company is Meta.

Maybe not this year but likely next or next 2 years and that's not going to be a purchase but a big sell-off wherein he should take profit from the investments that he took. While everyone is guessing what will be his next big acquisition, I'm thinking that he's gonna silently take some profits again if the bull run comes.

I don't think anyone here knows the heart beats of Elon musk or even knows his secrets deal, Elon is full of surprises and more plans to unveil to the world. Just few people already said above I don't doubt if he is not intending of promoting another shitcoin for a self gain and profits which is why as a fan of Elon you have to be very active and mindful in terms of following his tweets, as he may tweet of any projects and you hastely venture into it without any properly analysis which might results you losing big time.
And most importantly is, we are far away from the person although there are social media and news. Maybe he will give a hint on those sources one day? Buying another company is very costly but promoting a shitcoin isn't. He is the one that is going to be paid here in fact. He already done it before so he is not afraid to do it again.

You don't need to warn others about it because I am sure their eyes are already glued in the social media accounts of their idol. Analysis won't help that much because like we said earlier, it was only shitcoin Elon is promoting. We are only here for the hype and we need to make sure that we can exit as early as possible.

This question is like you asking us guess what's in a sack, even though you know we've never seen its contents before.
As far as I know, Elon Musk can buy anything with the wealth he has. He is one of the smartest businessman among thousands of other businessman, he is also very good at seeing and taking advantage of opportunities.

Elon Musk can turn bronze into gold, he can do it with his fame, Doge coins have been successfully converted by Elon Musk into gold which is very valuable. The small things that Elon Musk does become big because of the influence he has, wait what Elon musk does next.

Op I think it doesn't matters until he buy's the Bitcoin, there is nothing to do with any of his buying in our regular and crypto life. He had a lot of money he brought Twitter, did anything change even if he buys the Coke industry he is not gonna convert Coke into Sharbat (Lemonade). Seems like people use to imagine a lot of things that are even not related to their own lives. He is one of the top money influencers and he is a beneficiary of the current system so how can you consider him to be wise with our rights? He means Bussnies nothing else.

Whether than thinking about what he is gonna buy next or sell next, we should need to worry about how can we break our limitations, how to bring out family from this middle-class trap. How should we help others to have a good life. Alhough my conversation is informal but it is close to reality so think about it.

Well, I don't care about their money competition but I was concerned about Elon Musk's participation in the upcoming bull season. Though we never know what his plan but I was sure that his support for Dogecoin remains. Might he is investing in Bitcoin now but I feel he has no interest in pumping it rather than expect he would do it to meme coins. He can manipulate the market if he wants but something it was not easy just like before because people had already learned of what he did in the past.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?
If you ask like that, I definitely don't know what Elon Musk will buy this year, because it's a personal matter of his life. But in my opinion, with the many projects currently being run by Elon Musk, it will definitely make Elon Musk very busy. So I think Elon Musk will definitely focus first on the project he has right now. Because all of these projects, not small projects, but very large projects. So it is certain that when referring to material problems, Elon Musk will definitely use a lot of money. Because even though Elon Musk is a really rich person, I'm sure the project will definitely spend a very large amount of funds and quite drain Elon's wallet.

Even in the news that I read, Elon commented
Quote
Musk predicts that the world economy will be in a serious recession by 2023 and the demand for bulky goods will fall dramatically.
Quote
I'm not going to sell shares until I don't know, maybe two years from now," he said.

So with these comments, I don't think Elon Musk will buy anything this year, because Elon has predicted that there will be a recession this year and this will definitely make Elon Musk have a bit of brakes.

Happily I think he'd buy Mars if someone gave him a price, there's a lot of respect for what Elon Musk is doing, these billionaires have funny personalities at times, but That's also one of the reasons why he's so popular.
I'm not sure which plan is on his mind, because looking at the things that he does in life such as issues related to rockets, the environment, or social networks, ... the field is uncertain which is in the next plan.

This man is sometimes so crazy, in a good sense, that I think the next thing he buys might be the UFC. Don't actually know what he will buy the next but I think there is a big chance he may buy DuckDuckGo search engine because it has a reputation and name online, or establish a new search engine company that won't filter news like the Google did during the Covid. Logically, this should be his next step because you'll clearly feel in his last statements that he thinks that media was very biased during the covid and that should be fixed.

Elon will buy this forum, thank me later.

By the way, yesterday was Elon's birthday, and I think that this person can buy whatever he wants. Any gift for your birthday. He seems to me to be a very mysterious person who likes to surprise the public with his rather strange actions. How can you predict his actions? Has anyone ever been able to do this? It is interesting to watch his life, but I would not advise anyone to follow his actions when he is having fun with tokens.

Elon Musk has bought all your interest (though it's not huge), as many of you will also be curious about his behavior in search of something. It doesn't matter to me what Elon Musk will do in the financial markets, what I do know is that he is very intelligent and many areas in which he is involved I look very successful. But as for Mark, I don't know if there's a trick behind it, but it's quite interesting to me, when the top billionaires in the world punch each other. I've heard of some newspapers talking about Musk's dominance and a lot of jokes that come with it, although such news is also not censored, especially on social media. The facebook and twitter are also having quite a funny rivalry.

I have no idea because I haven't talked to him personally even through social media apps. But isn't he the owner of the twitter apps, I'm sure he has an account there, why don't you try to ask him about that? We just don't know if he is really the one who will replay you there.
So why do you want to know that? what is the point of your question? is it still about the crypto that will be bought in 2023, because that is what you will buy to hold it because Elon is good at pumping up the value of a meme coins.

I don't really trust this guy. I used to like him after he purchased $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin for Tesla. Then giving the flimsy excuse of environmental damage from mining, he sold most of those coins (at a profit). He wanted Bitcoin mining to become more environment-friendly (perhaps switching to a PoS algorithm?), but the Bitcoin community (quite rightly) asked him to GTFO. The only good thing about Elon is that he purchased Twitter and thereby allowed freedom of speech within that platform (which was earlier ruled by left-wing loonies such as Vijaya Gadde).

There is no reason to trust any billionaire because what they do is also for their own self-interest. They will never sacrifice their wealth or reputation to protect something like bitcoin when it's something the government doesn't like. But there is no need to hate them because sometimes following them will give us interesting news and the opportunity to profit. Elon doesn't have much influence in the market anymore, but he still has some small influence, so I still won't ignore him.
And I agree with you, Elon-owned Twitter is getting much better than its predecessor CEO.
