If Satoshi was known then there's no doubt that Government would really be trying out their best to get a hold of him and trying to convince or even force him out to stop on what he had created.
It is really that no brainer on what they would do or even kill satoshi to break down the morale of Bitcoin supporters but pretty sure it wont really be that something simple to happen.
It is really good to have on this way on which he decided to remain that anonymous and never tend to come out on the shadows.

Even if they catch Satoshi now, they won't be able to stop Bitcoin because of the way it was designed. The cryptocurrency has a lot of nodes and miners supporting it worldwide, so it would take a lot of time and effort to shut it down for good. Not even Satoshi would be able to do anything about it, as it's all about consensus.

Because Bitcoin is open source, any compromise on the Blockchain could easily trigger a new chain with its own set of rules. It's virtually unstoppable. They only chance governments would've had to stop Bitcoin was back in its very beginnings. Kudos to Satoshi remaining anonymous since day one. I hope he stays that way for the good of Bitcoin and the whole crypto/Blockchain space. Just my thoughts Grin

Now it's too late to stop bitcoin because it has become too big to stop. But if at that time the government catches him, then I think it will be easier for them, it will be a lot easier to stop bitcoin. And I don't think they'll kill him, that's a negative thought. He is a genius, so the government will use his brilliant mind to work for them rather than kill him because if he dies, bitcoin will still live and thrive. In short, no matter what they say, it's too late to stop bitcoin Grin Grin.

For sure he/she would already taken by government or someone has a bad intention on him. There are a lot of negative aspects if he  reveal his identity before that is why he is very smart to not disclosed any information as it is not only his life would be affected also with his relatives and it was catastrophe on them. I am just also curious right now if the possibility that he is just lurking here in the forum or how old si he now and what he is doing. But where ever satoshi was I am thankful of him

I must say that I'm now a Bitcoin addict and an ardent fan/supporter of Satoshi Nakamoto and the good initiative Bitcoin technology has brought to the world. But there are these questions that have been ringing in my head day and night as I continue to be curious about this man/men that brought this revolution to the financial space.

I would like people to furnish me with their views even though I personally believe that he would have been haunted by the world governments at the initial stage.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?
Definitely, he is putting himself in danger. Despite of the acknowledgement and well praises from the bitcoin enthusiasts, the government officials will also be eyeing on him and if they see that Satoshi should be given proper sanction because of bitcoin, then he might stay the rest of his lives being imprisoned. For us, Satoshi is a hero, but for the people from authorities, he’s a threat.

I honestly never know what Satoshi thought about his privacy in bitcoin's early years [when bitcoin was not yet valuable]. We're only speculating about him right now, but he's too smart to keep that up until now. Whether he was male or female, we never really knew until recently.

Making himself famous only put him in danger, but I don't think Satoshi really thought about it in the first place, but quickly changed after bitcoin was in huge demand. Of course this is just my opinion, no need to argue because I'm just a bit logical.
No one would expect that bitcoin will go this far and maybe Satoshi is not an exception. His only goal by then was just to have freedom from fiat currency that’s why he end up inventing bitcoin. But let’s say if he’s known today, not all people will acknowledge him especially those government officials as they will question Satoshi why he invented bitcoin. And since it’s against the law, Satoshi might face his popularity inside the jail.

He might be a target of all scammers all over the world, especially now that they are aware that bitcoin is very valuable and that Satoshi must have the highest amount of bitcoin hodlings. However, with government opposition even at the present, Satoshi may also face a lot of accusations as he could also be a target of authorities. Although the spotlight is on him, but let’s say not all people would be happy for him.

Don't expect Satoshi to reveal his identity anytime soon, especially when governments are becoming more aggressive against Bitcoin. Who knows if BTC ultimately defeats Fiat for good? Just my opinion Smiley
This is for the best for Bitcoin from my opinion. As long as the identity of Satoshi remains a mystery, Bitcoin is safe. No one will be able to find the creator and can't harm it from anywhere. Even if Satoshi comes out now, that won't make any difference. We will protect Bitcoin by our power. I don't want to know who Satoshi is, but I am grateful for what he left for us. Let's be happy with this. Good day will come for sure one day.

This might be answered by past history where american politicians and others have requested big tech corporations like apple to change encryption standards on iphones to make it easier for law enforcement to gain access to locked phones of suspects under investigation.

Had Satoshi been known, he would have been visited by intelligence agencies of the world. Who would request that he code a backdoor into bitcoin. Or use an intelligence agency approved encryption cipher. I would guess the tone of the conversation would go something like that. Satoshi would either agree or decline. And who knows what would happen afterwards.

It is possible that the details of David Kleiman's unfortunate passing (R.I.P.) where his body was found in a wheelchair with a trail of blood stemming from illness and infection with a loaded pistol nearby. It might represent the way that the real Satoshi left this world.

Tragic end for someone who won't give in to the government. RIP. This is the most possible way and it's why Greenpeace was requesting to change the code of BTC. Stories like these have been happening even in the time of Nichola Tesla who has a different view of the world to distributing electricity for free.

Disappearing without a trace and losing businesses to mysterious death can happen to Satoshi and usually, the cover-up is far worse.

True, this is the most probable reason why Satshi did not expose himself, as we know this Bitcoin is being opposed by the Global Elite and definitely people who are against the global elites and affect human perception of the products created by the global elites or are not in line with them would be annihilated, his consideration of not exposing himself was the smartest thing to do.
And maybe also when he exposes himself then there is no such thing as decentralization and anonymity for the transactions that are carried out.

I have seen many countries banning BTC due to some legal reason or not any reason at all. They are just banning it like it's a new trend. The list of banned countries includes - Algeria, Bolivia, Bangladesh, china, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Ghana, Iran, India, Iraq, Kosovo, Mexico, Nepal, North Macedonia, Russia, Turkey & Vietnam. Some days ago I saw news about Russia legalizing crypto payments. I am wondering, these included countries who have banned crypto, what will they do if the whole world except for them adapt to crypto? Their mind is like those investors who will only enter the market when the price is high, and they think the market will go much higher and when the market goes down, all they can do is cry about it.

While the world progresses towards the future, all of those countries will be stuck in the past and won't be able to do anything because it will be too late.

I think the countries you've mentioned ban Bitcoin because they really don't want people using it. Some say they're doing this to help prevent Russia circumvent sanctions. But we all know their hidden intentions. It's all about power/control.

Thank goodness Satoshi never disclosed his identity in the first place, or we would've never had the chance to experience true financial freedom today. Governments would've probably put him in jail or even kill him for creating an alternative monetary system that's outside of their control. If they're now prosecuting developers of decentralized mixing protocols (consider what happened with Tornado.Cash), imagine what they will do next. It's likely they will go after crypto projects' founders whose identities are widely-known by the public. At least, we can rest assured that Bitcoin won't be going anywhere because there's no person to go after. Don't expect Satoshi to reveal his identity anytime soon, especially when governments are becoming more aggressive against Bitcoin. Who knows if BTC ultimately defeats Fiat for good? Just my opinion Smiley

I can answer your question exactly but I don't want to answer now, but what I can say it, you will know it latter. There is story about your question. The story is very much classified. It is an extra ordinary story of Bitcoin invention and its launching and market developing. No one really care for your question because each one you are very much self centred greedy Gremlins. Gremlins are always Bitcoin Gremlins, they do not have human heart to understand your question.

Are you human or a joking Gremlin ?  Who loves build up their own Creamlin, with my stolen Bitcoin, no one really care except for their personal greed and ego. Thinking they will take the hoarded bitoins in heaven. Why can't you leave Satoshi alone ?

I think this MF is a zombie, Satoshi came back to life as a zombie, I'm telling ya.🤣
Guess you lost your english skills ever since resurrection, what is gremlin and what is a creamlin? Don't worry man, you/Satoshi don't need to face anything, just take your pills and leave this to us.

Satoshi would've been under house arrest, if he had revealed his identity. Every government want to make money and have control over the people's money. Bitcoin is all about decentralised functioning, but the governments never realise it and try to have control over it. Satoshi hiding himself from the outer world clearly shows his innovative mind, because he have well predicted the future and took the decision earlier.

His/their secret identity is the key source for BTC to become what it is now today. IF......... If the identity was revealed in the beginning of BTC, then the whole story might have been something else entirely.
Public harassment in the time of previous price dumps. Government issue, what we still face. Other people wanting to take over the system, thus life threat. And God knows what else.
I still believe that the secret should keep remaining secret. It was the best move by Satoshi to see his creation grow. Maybe he's among us watching this post, or maybe not. But we are happy for his existence and his creation.

I can't understand why Ethereum or any other project would want to reveal their creators'/developers' identities to the public, especially when they aim to achieve decentralization and censorship-resistance. They might be doing this to help attract investors, but the ends don't justify the means. I'd prefer a cryptocurrency that was created by an unknown person, even if it gets flagged as a scam by mainstream governments and other entities. This way, I can feel confident the crypto I've invested into won't easily go away due to government prosecution.

It seems to me that only Bitcoin will remain censorship-resistant, thanks to Satoshi's efforts to protect his personal identity. I wouldn't be surprised if someday mainstream governments go after Vitalik Buterin with the excuse that ETH is being used for terrorist financing, money laundering, among other sorts of things. Satoshi knew what would've waited him if he decided to disclose his identity in the first place. He disappeared in 2011, yet BTC is as bigger and stronger than ever. With governments increasing regulatory pressure, expect things to get worse for the crypto industry in the future. Just my thoughts Grin

This is the fact that could've happened if he have revealed his identity. As mentioned when bitcoin hasn't got any value there were not much of discussion regarding him. When the market began to experience transition things begun to change. Revealing his identity would be danger as well as he will be threatened to send bitcoins. So, let him stay hidden forever enjoying the technology innovated by him.

He could be facing his own spotlight, or he could end up in depression since bitcoin haters might personally attack him. But either way, maybe for me it’s best that his identity remain uncertain because that will protect him and his family from people’s pressures. And even if he show up when bitcoin is already popular, that won’t create changes anymore, bitcoin is already established and it’s popularity is now inevitable.
Probably, he will face a lot of accusations coming from the government and he might be arrested as well as he is contradicting the nature of fiat currency, that is when you go against the government, automatically you are opposing the law. So it’s really a good decision not to let himself become known especially that bitcoin today is gaining more attention than fiat currency, so just imagine how the government will react to that. But luckily, they have no one to blame as Satoshi until today remains a mystery.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?

The best decision and step he had taken in this life to make himself anonymous most be one of the best he’ll forever be proud of himself for. If he was to be known, I doubt bitcoin existence will still be here or will have gain much development and adoption in today’s world. The government are insane when it comes to competing with them with something they don’t have control over or can dictate on.

He made himself anonymous till today, but we can still see how they’re threatening the existence of bitcoin till today. Bitcoin wouldn’t have survived this long or getting to this point if he was known. I’m in full support of him been anonymous and he should remain so in the hidden for longer time to come.
