As for me I will go with indicoin and Pakcoin. This two project are awesome to me and they are currently trading below 2 cent and I believe they capable of doing well withing the next 12-18 months. So what's your own opinion?Huh Wink
Really it is hard to predict the potential of the coins when it is too cheaper because many coins with the great technology also failed to mark their place in the crypto field but some coins may have that potential.I will say NEM will be too expensive in the near future but it is not 2cents.

When looking at any crypto you shouldn't focus on its price but rather development and its team. You can look at sia as people have already suggested but there are similar techs so I am not sure how it would do in the long run, but, it'll still give you profit.

No one knows - but you could easily spend say $100 on ALL the coins worth 2 cents, and then wait and see which ones do well and make you money.

The law of averages says there should be a couple of big hits in there, the rest will probably go nowhere and a few will die entirely.

I doubt the two coins you said and I think too risky. See doge, its price is much cheaper, but potentially continue to grow in the future. The reason I chose it was the doge was popular, available in various exchanges and can survive until now. Some people say that doge is a joke coin, but not to me and I love him.

+1 for sia.

While Electroneum is above $0.02c it is still worth considering at 5c
They are just after releasing their mobile miner which is a big move forward https://electroneum.com/2018/03/05/electroneum-mobile-miner-made-live/

If you are looking for cheap coins with huge potential i will recommend to checkout Bitclave, snovio and telcoin, they are very cheap and good quality projects that can provide superb returns in long run.

price of a coin has nothing to do with the gains, look at the supply my dude

The supply can really affect the price of a specific coin. But for me, don't look for new cheap coins because its risky to do so. Look instead for some coins on that price level in a coinmarketcap under top coins I'm sure it can go higher on in the coming years.

I would recommend SIA.
It is a working project with a really good Development team behind it
and has some new updates happening this year.

Announcement thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-sia-decentralized-storage-1060294

Roadmap: https://sia.tech/roadmap

2018
Our goal: Sia becomes production-ready for cold storage, begins to be used by companies, and introduces file sharing.

2019
Our goal: Sia starts to approach Amazon S3 speeds, moves to warmer storage, and introduces content distribution features

Two coins that I'm bullish on that fit your criteria are:
STASH: https://idex.market/eth/stp
XTL: https://crex24.com/exchange/XTL-BTC
Both are privacy blockchains in development

I was surprised to know that there are a lot of people who think like that, saying "why would you buy Bitcoin for $10000 when there is Ripple at $0.90, it has a x10000 potential".
