I am not a newbie but I still fell for a scam metaverse project months ago, you can buy but when it's time to sell you won't be able to sell, be careful with new crypto projects they can turn into scam faster than old crypto projects, we have coinmarketcap for tracking best coins and tokens by ranks on the platform.

Don't rely on others to tell you what to buy. That's especially true for Youtubers and so-called crypto influencers who are paid for shilling different projects for money. That's paid advertising and they will make any cryptocurrency look good if you buy them enough.

What is the reason you bought what you bought?
What use case does the coin have and what problems are solved with it?
Did you make any research and analysis before you bought it?

The answers to these questions are probably you don't know and none, am I right?
A good project is supposed draw you in with the strength of its technology not the promises of how quick you will get rich and buy a lambo.
In reality, most altcoins are created to make the team around it rich, not you and me.

Lastly there are lots of scam project around so as a newbie I would strongly advice you to invest in stable coins like Bitcoin and other stable alt coins like Etherium and BNB.
In what sense are any of those three coins considered stable? Not that long ago, Bitcoin was worth $4.000, its price then went up to almost $70.000, and the value today is $30.000. You have similar ups and downs for the other two as well.

This one is unlisted and appears as such on CMC.

MetaUFO is listed on PancakeSwap apparently. You should be able to sell it there.

Metawar is also listed on PancakeSwap.

How did you by these tokens?

Basically, new cryptocurrency projects are springing up around the world; many people develop a coin and introduce it to the market only to defraud others and then disappear. To avoid getting scammed, it is advisable to conduct extensive research on the project team, the CEO, and the project road map. It is also crucial to determine how respectable the project team is based on the number of projects they have managed previously.

Firstly, it is advised to learn before you earn because in most cases you’ll still end up in loss if you don’t know what you’re buying. I suggest newbies to Make research before diving into any project I.e the founder, use case of the project and all in order to detect ponzis.

It is because that project isn't listed yet in the market. Because if it does, everyone is selling then and could dump their coins bringing them to buried fast. And the other reason is that the developer itself doesn't have the plan to spend money from getting listed, their intention is only to scam people. a lot of similar scenarios have been happening already, they use social media to manipulate people and you are one of them.

Well, the wrong this is that and surely gives you a lesson is to make a search first before investing. Perhaps, you can avoid it actually if you are not in hurry.

It's better to do a research before you make an investment. Investing in a hurry brings in trouble.
Know the market and know the direction where they are going. Better be safe than sorry.

As a newbie it's much better you stick to BTC for the very moment as it's safer than buying some altcoins that you might end up realizing ones again that it's a shit eventually.

Don't be too quick in embracing the flattering words towards most of these alts.

This does happen to almost all newbies because they don't have a certain knowledge of what they are investing/buying they just ride with the hype and that's what makes most of these pump and dump altcoins become so expensive but when the time those early and big investors sell they would lose more than what they can afford to lose.

Avoid new coins that you think the price is unreasonable to be pumping early because as time goes by it will come to an end very soon just like what happened to $Luna and not just this particular coin I'm referring but to almost all coins that has a similar movement since in the past.

i once bought new coins but i can't resell them.
What are these new coins you've bought?

You're cheated? Likely and they're just for the money of those newbie buyers and don't want to be transparent with you guys because they're just for the sale.

Any reason why you can't resell it?

Does the exchange disable the trading pairs? AFAIK, for new projects and old ones if the exchange disables the withdrawal and pairs, there could be a reason for it. What does it says in your account?

newbie often run into losses when investing in new projects.  ,i once bought new coins but i can't resell them. i think i have been cheated  Embarrassed what can you suggest to us and how to find out if the project is a scam? Is it true that new Coins can give big profits as people say on youtube channel?

Just what @mk4 said (and others), sell it ASAP if it still has the chance as it was hopeless seeing these shitcoins grow, it only stuck in your wallet if you hold them. And after that, stop investing in new projects instead, and go for Bitcoin and leading altcoins as they can provide you profit, not losses. Maybe you can blame those people who come and say on YouTube and encourage you to invest in a scam project but I think, it was your responsibility as well to do the research before falling into their trick. Generally, it was sad but that was your fault.

I tell you the truth, not only newbies that often fall into losing but also all o us here are still risky of losing in the crypto investment or trading.
And, never trust what you watch and heard from YouTube or other channel media or influencers that promote new projects.
But, we all have known something basic, never follow any hype project that is conducted also with FOMO.
A new project is very risky, this is more likely to gambling. Although we have researched the project in detail, we consider that the project will be good and valuable in the future, this doesn't guarantee if the project can really grow up, finish their selling token, list in good top exchanges, have high trading volume or market cap. It doesn't guarantee.
That is why I personally will not suggest people or moreover newbies to invest in new projects, because of the high risks.
Except that you are a high-risk taker with some experience in investing in this kind of new project.

There are dozens of ways in order to know if a certain coin/project is a scam.

First, you must check the whitepaper of the project. You have to read and check if what they created is purely original or plagiarized from different whitepapers already existing in the crypto-space. Second, check the domain if the website is relatively fairly new. If they registered under a fake domain address, then chances are that they are only hosting for free spaces which suggests a rug-and-pull scheme. Third, check the team members of the project and the overall creation of the website. If you saw that they did not even bother to put some effort towards the website, then chances are that such may be a scam.

There are lots of ways to determine if a project is a scam but you always have to remain vigilant and observant in order to avoid being scammed in the first place.

Is it true that new Coins can give big profits as people say on youtube channel?

It's boils down to marketcap, a legitimate coin that have a very low market capitalization and has a huge potential to grow, will give much more profit if you invest in it when the marketcap is very low and wait for it to grow.
And I must also say this very important thing, you must not depend of rely on information found on youtube, you must now allow informations found on youtube to drive your investment decisions, else, you are gonna have a lot of crying to do, I personally have ones tried following informations on YouTube and I ended up investing in a scam project, always do your own research and be responsible for  your decisions and not some YouTuber some where.

What do you mean? You cannot resell because the value is too low now that you're at a huge loss? Or is it because it was delisted?

He is probably talking about scam tokens that you can buy but can not sell or transfer to other addresses. Like the "ERC20 Honeypot" scam. Such tokens usually have the transfer function disabled in the token contract, but with whitelist of allowed addresses to transfer them to the exchange. Every other transfer fails.

Everyone is looking for a mythical "good project", and yet people don't want to acknowledge the reality that altcoins are fundamentally useless. Why should a coin that no one actually uses be worth anything? Because their marketing team promises that at some point in the future everyone will use it?

It's a wrong perspective to think that there are "scams" and "good coins". An altcoin will fail even if its creators have good intentions, simply because blockchain doesn't solve any real problems.

So instead of looking for some quick gains, just buy Bitcoin and wait a few years at least. Because Bitcoin achieved what it promised the moment the first block got mined - being a peer-to-peer electronic cash.

Investing in new coins is more like gambling than investing and the probability of losing your money is way higher than making a profit. My advice is to do your own research and only invest what you can afford to lose.
Besides, don't believe everything you read/see on the Internet. Those youtubers  most likely has been paid by the project owners to create those videos so don't trust everything they say.

Well who are these "people in Youtube channel" ? Whoever that is/was might be lacking an experience in crypto and have not touched any shitcoins out there.  Some youtubers are just plainly paid for what they say, so that's why I do not take their words literally and don't even get me started on their video monetization lol.

I am sorry but you could have been  scammed already, OP.

From the beginning you have to know the project commentary and from there you will understand if the project is bad one or good one, many projects are deceitful and you will find it difficult to detect or actualize the project that's potential from the commentary of investors. Its quite good to detect the potentiality of a project before investing there. Like as a beginner, you have to start investment with coins that is well known and also have potentials via investment.

I suggest you read the project white paper to understand the purpose of the project, what problems it's solving and the use-case. I think the utility of a cryptocurrency determines if the project will be long term, it doesn't guarantee profits but I'm confident projects with good use-cases are bound to last longer than meme coins and the rest.
