newbie often run into losses when investing in new projects.  ,i once bought new coins but i can't resell them. i think i have been cheated  Embarrassed what can you suggest to us and how to find out if the project is a scam? Is it true that new Coins can give big profits as people say on youtube channel?
Well, there's half truth with those youtube channels if they're telling big profits for the new coins. There really are people that makes a lot of money after investing into new projects, they're the early ones and also luck plays a part on it. Because they don't know if it's going to hit success or not and once they see that they've earned a lot already, they'll start selling. But, to shortcut it, don't believe in anything they say and most of the new projects are the riskiest ones. If you want to have a stable journey, invest in bitcoin and if you're into altcoins, not all of them are great to diversify and maybe choose only ETH.

what can you suggest to us and how to find out if the project is a scam

It's not so easy to find out a scam, even legit altcoin project can end up as scam. On the other hand, the right coin, bought in the right moment and (very important!) also sold in the right moment can give nice profits.
On the long term altcoins have disappointed me. So selling is just as important as buying.
But can you find out those moments? I'm not so sure. You have to be either very lucky, either very experienced. Or both.

So you better step back and get on learning. Crypto is not a simple "get rich quick" world. Altcoins, especially, can easily be called "get poor quick".

Stable coin like bitcoin , Ethereum and bnb is a good coin to be invested if we are newbies or new in the word of crypto.

Just to make sure... stable coins is a term used for coins pegged to certain value (usually USD or gold), so Bitcoin, Ethereum or BNB are not actually stable coins.
And if you want to call them good coins, I will agree on Bitcoin, but not on those altcoins.

What do you mean? You cannot resell because the value is too low now that you're at a huge loss? Or is it because it was delisted?

Majority are either scams or just plain useless. Don't buy any of them if you're a newbie. Stick with BTC.

Ignore youtube channels since most of them are only good on a bullrun. They disappear or go silent on a bear market. You don't need them. Just understand that probably 80 to 90% of tokens pumps on a bull market.

On youtube channel we can not say that the people who are you looking at is a legit and trustworthy. Even with thier words, we can not assure that they are legit and the site or the coins they promote are good to invest cause nowadays many sites that offer a good amount of winning but thier are scam sites.

Things to do to check if a project is legit

1. First thing is to do your own research and just rely on what you hear. You can do this by visiting the project's website and check there  white paper, it explains the project plans compare and verify your findings from other sources

2. Avoid projects that promises huge gains in just a little time frame. Due to cryptocurrency volatility just like the stable coin like Bitcoin it takes gradual time for investment to mature.

3. Another thing to again is to check the project community, the project's management although some project actually use influential people to promote there project. You should be moved by that but calm down and do more findings.

Lastly there are lots of scam project around so as a newbie I would strongly advice you to invest in stable coins like Bitcoin and other stable alt coins like Etherium and BNB. Just stay away from quick rich projects

No it isn't.

If you're buying from an ICO, you're probably guaranteed to lose money (there's times when you might not but its the most likely thing to happen - a dev team normally doesn't want to advertise and bring more people in after the ico unless they're really behind the project (and this'll be hard to determine) because they don't need it to rise anymore, they've made some money of it already and often want that to be the most they could make.

You can check liquidity and volumes on a lot of dexes for tokens on ethereum (uniswap will have data and there are also token tracking websites). Coinmarketcap and similar sites also should show you the tokens volume (but it might not be as trustworthy unless from a major exchange).

If you cant resell the coins you're buying, then you're likely to be scraping the bottom of the barrel here — you're pretty much buying the shittiest of the shitcoins. If you were to speculate on altcoins(maybe for trading), then at least go with the more reputable ones lol.

If you want to short-mid term invest in altcoins, you're going to need to be smart and you need to think realistically. Don't get easily attracted by nonsense hypewords that ultimately mean nothing.

New and old projects is not so different in terms of price in times of bear market like today so here is your chance to actually get into the old project that had already reached its ATH in the last bull run. So invest on their particularly the projects that are on top of CMC rank. To name few like ADA, MATIC and Algorand.
