Nothing. Because they cannot fathom how it can be used, why it have the ability just like money. They think it is evil, really.
i am not sure what people around me thinking about bitcoin because when i am trying to tell them about bitcoin, the answer is different. ones said they don't know about bitcoin, the other said yes they know but they got scam in a program MLM which using bitcoin as deposit and withdraw, the other again said they only know bitcoin is like paypal that we can use to buy something and for trading or investment.
We were just talking about bitcoin at work today. There was an article that came up as to the recent court ruling marking bitcoin as a currency. We think that there will be a good movement here in the USA with it comes to bitcoin in the near future. Some the people around me agree and others think it is a ponzi scheme.
So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.
For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

The people around me think that is good they like everything that let us make some extra money so they were excited about it.For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

Exactly, and the fact is they have fear of loosing their money in it and they have a strong feeling that bitcoin will not survive in long term, they are the people will narrow mindsets.

People around me thinks that bitcoin is illegal and every time I am going to talk about bitcoin with them. Their faces are changing and they are doubting me about bitcoin that it is real. They really think that bitcoin is related to illegal things as they know that it is being used in the deep web.
You are not alone on that experience, most of us have feel the same... Me my self I encounter such hilarious reaction from a family member before, I was told that I am stealing money from the internet...
But I stood my ground and forget that they told me those words and now they don't bother me anymore and when they do, I just don't mind it

i am from india . and in my country people usually thinks that it is a strange thing for payment system and it is illegal to use because no limit to hold money in btc . For me : I come from France. Once I introduced it to some friends during a drink with them. They dont even have a clue to what I am saying and it is really hard to explain to somehow who dont even have a little idea. Made it to the end and looks like I got them bored.
Most of the people I mention Bitcoin to don't have a clue what it is. From time to time I'll come across somebody who's heard of it and just know that it's some new type of money. From my experience, people who've never heard about Bitcoin very rarely want to learn about it. They'll listen politely as I go over the basics and sometimes even ask questions but it is clear that they're not interested.

I guess they don't even know the things about bitcoin they only know that i can make money online but didn't know how could i make it because of course i am telling them about it because they will become spoonfed if ever I taught them these things . I know that they will have a knowledge about bitcoin soon and that would be better .
Many of them understand it, but some people around me still have some troubles and doubts about btc, but with time they'll probably understand it.

Well that is a major issue with people, they don't want to try something new as they always feel that they will loose their money and prefer to continue with credit card and fiat currency.

People here do not know much about it. So they have don't think good or bad about bitcoin.
In fact I have only met one person till now who knew what a blockchain really is.
I try to explain it over and over again, but the attention I earn is relatively low.
Kind of strange, because I am living in an industry country.

My friends dont think very good about the bitcoin and that is only because they dont give anything about it they dont buy things online and always use just cash. So they wont use the coin not now and not in the future.
Well i think,that is only for now in the mean time when bitcoin is recogbize on the peoples they are the one who will ask you how to do and earn money on bitcoins.in the future that is for sure.I think they already heard that on their country but they didnt like it. And i think they didnt need money thats why they used it but if they do have money then they want to have a fast transaction then its good to used bitcoin as a method of payment
They think its cool and kind of weird. I told it to my mother because she asked me where I get my money since I have no job and told her about it. She cannot understand it and cannot believe that there is such a thing, a money but not real and can only be processed through computers. I tried to teach her but she really have no interest since she do not understand how it is possible to really have a money online.
People around me are not aware about the bitcoins yet and when I try to explain them they don't show any interest it and have a feeling that its a big risk to invest money in it.
